It'll always be that last game against OKC during the 73-9 run when they were down and he demands the ball, and takes a step past half skirt, and and drains a three. "Bang! Bang!" The announcer said. The sheer confidence with which he took that shot and how broken some of those OKC players looked was the moment his greatness was put on that mental walk of fame.
I 100% agree and I've heard this from many others. I saw this shot with my dad and my brother and my jaw absolutely dropped. I had never seen a shot like it before taken with such confidence from such a distance with a timeout still remaining. It means in retrospect just letting steph rock is better than any play they could've drawn up.
I like how when the reporter asked curry specifically about his offense turnaround, he still used the word “we” . Shows how he’s a team player

Crazy how every generation players become more and more skilled. It would be idiotic to think no player will ever be better than MJ. At this rate in the next few decades someone will come out with Steph curries shooting ability and lebrons attacking the rim prowess. I can imagine people back then looking at bird shoot and thinking dam this is the best shooter I’ve ever seen. Now imagine if they would see Steph in todays era.

Then Tracy Mcgrady, Dwayne Wade, Allen Iverson, Pau Gasol, Brandon Roy, Gilbert Arenas, Ben wallace, Manu Ginobili... Easily the Best years of basketball history.

Off the dribble, catch and shoot, coming off a screen, in transition, super deep, off balance, ect. Noone else can just quickly release their shot at any time and make it the way he can
