  • Mark… I just wanted to say thank you. Your videos have always been so profoundly inspiring for me, but this one just really hit so close to home. The wholesomeness is next level; the return to your childhood home, the backyard version of America’s greatest pastime, and the strawberry on top- your reminder of simpler times with the “play until the streetlights came on” nostalgia. And above all else, you’ve rooted that same approach of keeping childhood passions alive, into sharing your passion for engineering with a whole new generation of creative minds (my son & daughter included). So yes, thank you Mark Rober, for helping us have a warm wholesome escape from a sometimes dark and overwhelming world.

Your videos have consistently served as a very significant source of motivation for me, but there's something about this particular one that really connected with me on a more personal level. Your nostalgia for "play until the streetlights came on" brings the idea of wholesomeness to an entirely new level when combined with your return to the house where you spent your childhood, your recreation of America's favorite pastime in the backyard, and the addition of a strawberry as the cherry on top. And above all else, you have rooted that same approach of keeping childhood passions alive into sharing your passion for engineering with an entirely new generation of creative minds, which includes both my son and my daughter.
