    • Lucky to survive when born, named after Mike Tyson. Fufills destiny becoming a HW champion & beating a super champ in Wladimir. Becomes a champion for depression giving millions hope. Returns to beat one of the hardest hitters in boxing history in Deontay Wilder. And he beat both Wladimir & Deontay in their backyards. Very humble thing to say as he is anything but.

Now I have a lovely daughter and wife, I was making plans to end my life, quite advanced plans, and I am so glad I got out of it, and it was stories like Tyson which did it. Plus my boss, he gave me some tough love and tough love helped me more than sympathy. Sympathy validates your pain, tough love leads you out of pain.

  • I relate to this. I've battled depression for as long as I can remember. In my 20s and 30s I was a gym rat. Trained with a couple of pro bodybuilders. I was a sponge for bodybuilding info. 2 years ago, I had a fall at work. 12 feet. 7 broken ribs, collapsed lung, and a lacerated spleen. With something like that, pain medication is gonna happen. I got hooked. Now, dont get me wrong, I still have chronic pain. Some days it takes me an hour or so just to stand upright. I've gotten fat as hell. I found Kratom, which has dramatically helped me get away from the pills. With my gym closed because of covid, I started doing little things. Pushups, walks, etc. I can barely get 15 pushups, but I don't quit. When I started doing them, my first day I got 4. Mind you I've hit some damn heavy weight on most lifts. I'm only 5'5, so I don't have nearly as far to push weight. 9 months ago I had my pistol in my mouth. I had written a note and had it planned out. I remember vividly looking up at my wall and saw a picture I had of my grandparents who raised me. Both are gone, but right then and there I knew I had to knock this off. I thought they aren't ready to see me again and that fall only injured me, it didn't kill me. The pain sucks, but it goes away. Depression does that to you. Anybody that's battling that damn demon, don't quit. Every day you wake up, before you get out of bed repeat this: I'm gonna get better today. No matter what is. You're gonna drink more water. You're gonna train. You're not gonna buy that pack of cigarettes. Then keep building off of that. Keep fighting. God bless.

A real champ would’ve taken the rematch and proved himself to be the better fighter. Not to mention he gets way too much praise for beating a fundamentally flawed, one-dimensional fighter in Deontay Wilder. Fury also hasn’t had a single title defense. His resume also consists of mostly bums, and even struggled with a few of them (Otto Wallin, John McDermott, Steve Cunningham). I could go on and on.

  • It clings so much with me... I know what this is about in my whole soul and body.... so fantastic video.... there is not much mercy in some chapters of life... you are alone with God and you feel helpless and you know the only savior of your faye is... No mercy.... Just be the Greates man and lift above it.... Its so much like me. But the mercyful will be shown mercy in the end of the line. Tyson Fuuuuury. I get so inspired and you are a really good Badass Champion. Thank you. Best wishes

  • This story was the final one to really elevate me to the level I’m at now. He was on JRE and I had already lost 100 lbs and I heard how he struggled with mental health and weight. When he talked about his steamroom story I adopted that mindset and attacked the final 125 lbs I would eventually shed. Thank you for content like this and also thanks to Tyson for being such a champ! 225 lbs later we are making a story like this! New story and we are just getting started.

  • Leaving furys boxing achievements aside, as an individual he has gone through something that is tougher than any of his fights. It's not a nice place to be in, and if you don't have good people around you who understand what you are going through at that moment it becomes x100 worse. Anyone who has gone through mental health issues will understand straight away how difficult it can be. It's not a box checking exercise, you need to be in a good place. Love him or loathe him, you have to take your hat off to the big man for opening up and speaking about mental health and wellbeing. It's not easy. You have to respect that. I wish anyone suffering with mental health issues a speedy recovery. Please don't suffer in silence. Peace.
