I’m terrible at modern style. I’ve never been a fan of the modern style and don’t have modern homes in my town or towns surrounding me but The Sims 4 gallery has made me love modern homes now hahah

@@R4CHEL__ I hate hate hate modern style. I feel like it has no personality. I love Victorian. My boyfriend loves modern though. So we’ve decided to compromise, if we can ever afford a house (😅), with craftsman. I feel like a craftsman style has the medium amount of personality
I wish she would go full chaos mode and do a no mistakes each room a different budget challenge, I feel those 2 combine would be the ultimate challenge!!
NEW BUILD CHALLENGE You have to place everything in this order, and can't adjust it once you move on to the next step. 1. Foundation [also pool if you would like too] 2. Walls [Exterior & Interior] 3. Windows and Doors 4.Roof 5. Lights 6. Cabinets [Kitchen & Bathroom] 7. Appliances [Sinks, refrigerator, Oven etc.] 8. Furniture 9. Accessories The idea behind this is that you'd be basically building a house in the order that it is constructed in real life. Like this so @lilsimsie sees it.
Bonus points. Paint the walls when you place walls, make her choose walls before any furniture

This might depend on where you are but in my neighborhood a new house is currently being built and the only things finished are the foundation,roof and exterior walls (I haven’t seen the inside so I don’t know if the interior walls are built) so again possibly depends on where you are or what type of house your building
@@blitxzy Yeah, so exterior walls are first, then interior walls, but they already have all the spaces for the windows and doors, which is why I put that before roof, though the roof could go on either side of windows and doors
I feel like it would be really interesting to take all your "no mistakes" challenges, come back and renovate them if you still have the files, to see what choices you would have made, etc
The chair in the backyard just looks like a sim pulled it out and left it there! They forgot to push it back in before they left

Has anyone noticed that every time Simsie uses that brown and blue painting that’s in the dining room, she always says she “has never used it” even though she has used it multiple times before
But maybe she just means the swatch and not the painting in general
new challenge ; if you make a mistake you have to bulldoze the lot and start over this includes moving walls and different wall heights

Simsie's mailbox placement always stresses me out. I was like, "oh no she messed up!" but it's just how she usually does it.

Good effort. The house turned out great really. I'd probably download it, make a few adjustments and play in it 😊Gameplay wise I always love one story houses. You did make a tiny mistake though, you placed the fence and then removed a piece of it to make the fake entrance, but we won't hold it against you, it's all in good fun anyway.
15:56 technically, this other wall color is a change from the original wall. So, it’ll have to be and can be changed back.
It’s not a no change challenge, it’s a no mistake challenge. So everything she does is supposed to be on purpose and the final decision. So that can’t be changed back.

Can we watch you do a large modern mansion house kinda thing (not a speedbuild) without any kind of challenge? Sometimes it’s fun to just see what you would build like without budget limitations etc
I mean if you want a mansion it will probably need to be a speed build or it’s gonna be like a 3 hour video where she barely talks.

Challenge idea: you have to use every single swatch of an item when building a house So say you’re doing a bedroom, you have to use every swatch of a single bed, so you end up with 8 bedrooms

maybe a weird take? but i love challenges like this because letting yourself accept mistakes you've made, live with them, work around them and move in, feels weirdly liberating
mistakes happen, and sometimes you can't change them! but challenging yourself to work with them can make you think in different ways and come up with ideas you might never have thought of before
I really love the room with the 2 beds. The colours are just perfect and I actually really love the placement of the beds I've never thought of creating a room so pretty before

I actually mostly like this house, aside from small silly mistakes it looks great!

I love how you did the floorplan here Kayla! It's nice that the entry doesn't put you right in the living area and that the bathroom isn't either. This floorplan makes so much sense, it could be a real house.
Video Idea - Random Swatch challenge! Use the plus and minus keys to filter through swatches, but first use a random number generator to see how many times you have to click! Whatever swatch the number of clicks lands on, you have to use for the item!
Here's my suggestion for a build challenge: Simsie has to build a house without using ANY BLUE swatches
And without white swatches either
there you have your next challenge : making a house filled with bright colors and patterns 😉 like a kitsch old fashioned cottage

for the fence pillar fix, you just ctrl drag to delete the section with the pillars, then redraw it and the fence pillars disappear! i know it might not work in the spirit of a no mistakes build, but yeah this trick works to help get rid of the unwanted pillar placement!!!
I love watching these house builds. You should do one with if you click on an Item you have to use it no swapping out

Kayla, I don’t think your try at the challenge was bad at all! Sure there were some flaws, but nothing is perfect! I honestly would have done way worse at this challenge since I’m super clumsy and I have a higher chance of accidentally misclicking and making a very stupid and drastic mistake. I’m not nearly as talented as you when it comes to brainstorming builds so I would make a mistake everytime I place something, build walls, etc. and would want to cry about it. Please don’t be so hard on yourself, you’re gifted with talent! ❤

tbh when I'm building I don't mind clipping in landscaping just because like, its leafy and irl trees will hang over the top of roofs or flowers will grow in tree roots that kind of stuff, but i get why it'd bother simsie. I really love this house! Brick houses are so lovely looking :)
Idea: Unlimited Budget Limited Time challenge! You have no budget for your furniture, but only one minute to pick all of it before you start. And if you want to make it harder, build the shell first!

The wallpaper errors can be avoided by using the alt key to cover one wall or the shift key to fill a room. The garden just looks like it was due for the general maintenance tidy up. So it looks natural and I genuinely like it. Great build!
Challenge: You know how the catalog (sorted by function) is built up? You have to first build from the first category and then go to the second. Once you started with the second, you can't rebuy (go back and buy another item) or move objects (re-place the shower for a plant or something). Walls and floors and stuff excluded.
Honestly this house is more accurate to how real life houses are. not being picky about the furniture; not being picky about the decorating etc. I know she says she doesn’t like it too much but it’s one of my favorite builds she’s done; just cause of how warm and homey it feels.
I think it turned out pretty cute!
