In this video we go through the different clinch positions in EA Sports UFC 5 and how to transition between them. We also cover the various strikes and takedowns you can use in the clinch.

  • Im doing sub-par, how are you? I cant get dom over-under. Inhit RT right after hitting double-leg, right as the animation makes contact with opponent, and everywhere in between. I need to pass this sparring challenge

    • You can hit RB+B to do a trip (this is a momentum animation so this will come off quicker than anything the attacker can do) or if your opponent is expecting the trip, you can hit RB+Y/RB+X (depending on stance) to reverse into a dominant clinch position

    • Throw strikes. You Can get a good 3 strikes in there if you do for example 2 knees and 1 punch. As for Holding Them there for longer it simply isnt possible unless they arent trying to escape, and thats good would never go back to the sweaty clinch Where you could deny transitions like on the Ground. The older games had This and it was horrible when someone knew every transition.

    • It's actually really disappointing and I wish THQ still had the rights to make these games. UFC Undisputed 3 is to this day one of my favorite MMA games. Look how much better basketball is outside of EA's hands? Their career mode isn't like the uninspired trash this and Madden pump out.
