If you want to support more challenges like this, consider becoming a patron 🙏🏼 / pwnisher
I teamed up with PNY and NVIDIA to host my third big #3D render #challenge. For #DynamicMachines, I challenged 3D artists to guide a chrome ball from point A to point B in the most creative way possible. Nearly 2,000 artists entered, and in this video the Top 100 renders are featured from an incredible community of 3D artists! Thanks to everyone who worked hard to submit and congratulations to the winners!
Artist credit is attatched below their respective render (indicated by the arrows beside each placard.) Here’s an artist list as well: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

  • 3:54 Yasutaka Fukuda's use of the space that was given to them is freaking brilliant. They didn't make a complicated and intricate contraption like others, but they literally just thought outside of the box that was given to them and it caught me by surprise. It almost felt like watching an actual 3D movie after all of these sequences where the marble actually stays within its walls.

  • My favourites: 7:55 What sticks out to me is that all the other renders were confined within a box. In this render, the camera FOV was part of a larger scene and the artist wasn't afraid of letting the ball go out of the frame for a bit. Really creative. Plus the idk what to call it but the the parallax effect was so cool with the zipline coming out of the screen as well. 11:32 A nice break from all the complex intensive rude goldberg machine type stuff. • Yeah he's killing it - I still don't get why he couldn't have just done this as part of corridor. Obviously I don't know, and I'm glad it's working out, but I can't imagine having Clint having a conversation with Niko saying this is what he wants to do, and Niko not being like, "If that's what it'll take to keep you happy at corridor let's make it happen." He's talked about making a feature film, but how is that going to be easier on his own than putting it on the web site's greenlight program?

      @bluefletcherfish@bluefletcherfish2 жыл бұрын
    • @@bluefletcherfish I know nothing about Clint's situation, but I know me personally, I get effected by people around me easily. Not in a bad way it's just difficult for me to know my true ambitions unless I'm able to be alone. I also know groups depend on each other and it would be very difficult for Clint to not put his project aside to help the rest of corridor during a crunch situation. Running a channel and creating content is very time intensive so I can understand why Clint would want to just step away and do this on his own. He still has many friendships with the crew and he seems happy. That's all that matters.

    @Luzgar@Luzgar2 жыл бұрын
    • There is no such thing as "raw talent". Just hard word, practice and patience. Talent is just a word used to downplay the efforts of others, by attributing their success to some innate, "raw", skill. It does not work like that

      @thearcadefire93@thearcadefire932 жыл бұрын
    • @@thearcadefire93 It was maybe not the right word, so let's say it is aquiered talent.

      @Luzgar@Luzgar2 жыл бұрын
    • @@thearcadefire93 This is such, such a bad answer that ive read so, so many times now. Wanna call it "Natural Gifted Ability" is that better? Because it is. Why don't you become a singer? A musician? There are things like perfect pitch. An understanding of math. A creative ability. Things that cannot just be learned. Pracice adds to that of course. "Oh you can achieve anything! It's just hard work!!!" Is such a lie. And I cannot believe that people think this is a real answer. You should know better, I assume you're a full grown adult with plenty of life experience. What makes anyone think this way? Have you seen real talent? In real life or media. Yikes...
