I really think EA should make it required to own every pack to pass the loading screen, make the game paid again, and enforce extremely strict anti-piracy checks. Poor people should not play De Sims. we need more cities so badly. i live in a low income city but almost every world in the sims is suburbia or rural country side, i just can't relate. san myshino is as close as i can get to my home for my simself so i can't help but wanting more options and different types of cities
San myshuno is also a pretty modern feeling American city. It would be cool to have a much older looking city, or a world that’s modeled after a European, Asian, or African city.

Sadly I don't think we will get many more cities. Because the only city pack currently is called "city living" I think they might not create more cities with those features in another pack. I wish they would sell world packs for a cheaper price. I would 100% pay 30 bucks for a new world with new build mode and NOTHING ELSE. Like, there doesn't need to be new game play, I just want new worlds and stuff that looks like it can fit there.
4:20 Wait a minute...I just noticed the pillows, the pillows don't really look like they're attached to anything so does that mean we're getting a standalone placeable pillow in build mode!? That would be so cool I think for people who can't download custom content but still want to make their couches and homes look more comfy!!!

Imagine how better it would've been if the poolside splash kit was a stuff pack. In addition to the CAS items, they could add pool decor, slides, pool games and activities, water shows (ok well i don't know about the last one) just to bring more life to pool venues. Honestly I don't mind having a stuff pack over kits 'cause CC creators be making CAS and Build Buy sets that fit the theme of the kits we are given now.
I agree I feel like they definitely could've done more by combining the water features of the backyard stuff pack and this kit, it would've been nice to see some more pool decor and gameplay features It also feels a little like EA is recycling themes now and I find with the kits they're too small to cover everything so stuff like that is easily replaced by cc anyway it's a shame because I find that playing the Sims gets a bit repetitive already and it would be nice to have more small features that keep it interesting

That modern kit is EVERYTHING. As someone who exclusively decorates using modern decor, we have desperately needed more! Everything we have is pretty much your style (traditional/grandmas house vibes) haha. I never buy kits but I’m definitely getting this one

Tbh I don’t get the complaint either. I live in Texas and it was 102 degrees Fahrenheit today so swimming is still normal right now. Plus Sims seasons are only a week long so summer options are always needed😂
For the floaters, I think it might be a thing where you click on your sim and say “put on floaties” or something like that.

I feel like when they partner with simmers to make kits, it feels like CC that you pay for. Like you could get that same kind of content without paying for it. It never adds something that changes the game or adds something new and interesting it's always just like another kind of thing we already have. It's just redundant...
I'm sure the timing of the swimwear kits make more sense to james and deli and other southern hemisphere simmers. it's nice for things to be timed for the other half of the planet once in a while. Not excited about that swimwear kit. One of the dudes is wearing the exact same female underwear that is in basegame, and the female orange one-piece in the front of one of the screenshots looks all wonky and pointy in weird places (like the shoulder strap). they can't even make it look good for the screenshot?? I mean I'm still going to buy it I guess but jeez lol. 😆🤦🏼♀

i personally love the kits. I rarely have enough money left over to buy an entire pack so it’s a cheap effective way to make my game feel a little newer. I really don’t understand how some people have a dislike for them, especially when there’s no obligation to buy them. It’s a great way for people who can’t afford all the kits to still have more fun gameplay, decor, and cas items.

I genuinely miss stuff packs, I miss getting new items, cas items and a new activity for my sims, it felt like a good deal to me, kits are just too small in my opinion and feels too much like a watered down version of the sims 3 store content…

Went to read the patch notes and am really disappointed that they still haven’t fixed the fact that the spa day coffin nails both the matte and shiny version are not showing up in CAS for sims with a feminine frame. This has been a problem since a patch from months and months ago.
Really? Mine show up okay but my normal nails for basegame, the normal swatch had this weird two shade chrome gloss to it that seems to be a missing texture if you have knowledge of such when creating cc. I can't even use it for male sims with no nail polish because it looks so awkward.

Okay, I'm honestly super stoked about getting the kits listed separately. The new build kit looks cool and I'm sure I'm going to find pieces I love. And I love the gnome print on the men's two piece set. I will, as always, be immediately buying the new kits.

A cc creator called Harrie created a frame wall art tv and I always use it in my builds, so I am happy to see this item be part of the game so that everyone can use it. Idk how I feel about paying $5.99 for it, as imo they could have added it to the base game as a sdx update but what else can we expect from EA

I think the Pool Kit could have easily been expanded to some more pool items like a slide and diving boards. Maybe swimming lessons and pool basketball or something. Maybe a swim team added for High School Years. I would LOVE that but I am nobody and my hard earned money doesn't mean anything! The Modern Luxe Kit - almost same item as the stuff pack that came out a few years ago that had the Butler and the party stuff pack. Same old items just a new name and 2 new items.

I'm thecomplete opposite I don't care about build kits so I usually get the cas kits just because I'm down for more clothes in general but this time build kit seems interesting to me this time I might just get both just to see how I feel about them.
I’ve been looking for arm floaters for adults for SO Long!! No CC creators ever made one so this is great. That’s the thing I’m most excited about since it’s unrealistic that every adult in the game just immediately knows how to swim! It’s up there with the lunchbox they released in the SDX drop the other day :)
I never saw an adult using one, I dont think they even sell in adult size.
To be fair every child in the sims immediately knows how swim, their floaters are accessories for our own imagination. It's the sims. It might be a life simulator but the fact that we have an actual grim reaper who uses an iPad to reap souls already throws realistic anything out the window. Besides, most simmers already enjoy trapping their sims in pools, Sims finally learning that you don't need a ladder to just get out annoyed players, so maybe the sims team decided to add floaters so the Sims can survive longer in a fenced pool since simmers got crafty? 😅
@@augusto7681 lol they exist. I've seen a few people at resorts, and I believe if you go to swim classes you can get them as a beginner. My brother was given arm floaties when he finally learned to swim after taking his daughter for her own classes. He's in his 30's. But it might just be where I live, I can't speak for the rest of the world and also your experience as you said shows otherwise.

I'm most excited about being able to filter by each kit!! ❤ What I think would be the best add to build/buy would be a *SORT* feature that allows us to sort not just buy cost but by size of item! (I'd also love to sort by score for comfort/decor/energy/etc. But that would be 2nd to size). Especially for rugs and decor because it's impossible to tell how big something is, which makes it so difficult to find the right sized rug or a piece of clutter small enough to fit in a tiny shelf slot. I know you can size things up and down but size sorting would help so much with that!
people that complains about the release month are those in (or at? or on?) north hemisphere, cause here in south hemisphere our summer starts in december, and its not like the seasons in game work like in real life so....

imagine a 70s inspiered ‘retro’ kit !! a bunch of wood (with the same swatches of course), records and record players, conversation pits, patterns for wallpaper rugs or seating!!
Ok functional record player and that tv, plus more beautiful artwork, do make me pretty happy and the other build items look really great , so I might put this kit on the list of options for buying down the line.

Honestly, it looks a bit cheap and uncomfortable to me. Like...what people think looks expensive, but you'll just hate after having for a month. I'm very ecclectic in my tastes (currently working on my house and my style is basically mid-mod Swedish Zen Industrial Lux) and gotta say no to basically everything in the kit. Maybe the tv is ok? Not a comment on the cc creator's skills at all, just the very specific items themselves.
It's so weird to me that so many of the items in those kits remind me of custom content that I've already used. At least this will give more options to console players, it just sucks they have to pay for it.
I'm of the belief the sims team is either mostly doing this for the consol players to atleast have what those of us who use cc have an a little for ghe people who jnly play vanilla, or EA is so greedy they trying to make the need for cc unnecessary. Even in their packs lately starting with Eco Lifestyle, when they aren't working with content creators for certain assets, there tends to be objects that I can instantly spot are from a certain cc creator. Most of Snowy escape build assets remind me of a Japanese cc set by Felix.

The Frame TV and the tabletop record player that isn't a whole console unit or jukebox is AWESOME! Major props to the collaborating creator for helping bring that to us. MAJOR THANKS to the Sims team for updating the Pack Sort menu so separate the kits and working so hard on updating the gallery & keeping it chugging along. I honestly believe when it was designed, they never expected it to become the lifeblood that it has become. Far more complex games don't even have an integrated gallery... you have to go to a separate website to download any player created content. We truly are lucky to have the gallery (even if it doesn't always work the best all the time) but here's hoping the future is even brighter for the gallery.
The Modern Luxe is my style (I use a lot of the Maximalist kit lol) so I'm excited for that, but meh about the swim. I've fully shifted into fall mode now so that's not what's on my mind now, it's a little late imo

I think the swim floaties could work like tattoos or rings where you you have one in different locations so you can select multiple! There could be like a “waist” location and an “arm” location!!

They don’t owe you something that in the end you would probably complain about anyway because they can’t figure out how to make $5 worth of functional gameplay that isn’t buggy as hell and fit in the same deadlines as cas and bb kits.

Game developers rarely get to choose what kinds of packs get made, when they are released, how much they cost, or even how much content is included. All of that is decided by higher ups who assign them the projects. Be mad at the business not the workers.
