In game 2 there was a situation where Kawhi ran to the 3pt line to close out on a shooter and you could clearly see Kawhi didn't want to really plant his leg to push off when the player ran by him

Something to watch for. If you look around the nba landscape right now, it does not favor the teams featuring the older star vets. Look at the players out, close to being out, trailing in their series, or playing a far superior team: Steph, Klay, Dray CP3, KD, Bron, AD, DeRozan, Butler, Dame, etc..... Of course i am hoping The Clippers can break this trend but they have 4(Kawhi, PG, Harden, and Russ) I think the key for The Clippers is to try to gain some confidence by winning tonight. I have some concern about older vets and their desire to fight back when all their legacies are sort of set in stone. When i heard Kawhi say the team was fine with just getting in as long as they were top six, i just didn't love that mindset from the team's star. There is no such thing as being able to turn it on when the competition is so fierce and the team's are so close(don't look at records or seedings, look at net margins....everyone is close except The Celtics) I think tonight is key for The Clippers! Get up 2-1 and give the vets some motivation to keep fighting...

The part you talked about harden and the calls he gets is true. I love harden but have always HATED the foul calls and when he used to foul bait. I’ve also mentioned how harden doesn’t care about the regular season anymore. That’s why he has been in a “slump”. Defensively he has been massively underrated since 2017. Like you said, he holds his own against other teams in the playoffs, especially in the post. Hopefully kawhi is better than last game because if he’s back then the mavs are in trouble. game 2 is a W if kawhi could of hit a few more shots, his rust threw the offensive flow off but this game was the inevitable luka carry game, the inevitable homecooking dallasss win is coming within the next 2 games as well, i believe we split 2-2 going into LA for 5 with the clippers winning game 5 and 6 due to the obvious overly matched clippers and dallass now being hurt
Game 3 of this series just ended and after watching how things have went it’s starting to look bleak for the clips I thought game 2 was just kawhi getting the rust off and I figured he’d come out aggressive in game 3 being the best player on the court and totally dominate the game but after watching it seems to me there is something still not right with his knee, he wasn’t very assertive taking only 7 shots in 25 minutes and just doesn’t look like he is anywhere near 100% I hope I’m wrong here because they are in serious trouble if kawhi can’t perform like his usual self when healthy. Game 4 will tell us everything in this series if he does come out aggressive from the opening tip and really dominates the game I still believe the clippers will win the series but if not they will be done in 5 games 6 at most

Idg the Kawhi noise. People forgot about the last 8-10 games. We played well and still won against competition. So Im not so sure, Kawhi brings us more. He is not healthy, no 5 on 5, no contact. We won games without him. If he is healthy, we are more dangerous, of course. But like this, Im on the side, we can win without him.
I think the team might need to carry him through round one.... Just go back to what worked in game one and use Kawhi as a better version of Amir Coffey in this particular series. Time for the PG/Harden duo to re-assert themselves in game 3.... Keep trying to feed Big Zu..... Let the Russ/Norm duo give the team some energy and point production from the bench. Maybe mix in some Theis minutes rather than Plumlee minutes? James Harden does not need to play 42 damn minutes! That's ridiculous! 32-34 minutes is fine. Those 8-10 minutes can easily be taken by Russ or split between Russ and Mann.... The Clippers need this one tonight to take some pressure off game 4...

His conditioning is superior and the man actually gets better the more he is allowed to play in a rhythm. He was making a huge impact with his physicality and pace of play.
