Please Read This. Some cats, like Bobtail and Manx, are born without tails or with smaller stub like tails. There are also some perfectly good reasons why an owner would remove a tail from a cat, such as a disease or infection. And cats can chase tails even if they are short so don't argue they are chasing a remain of a tail....

You are exactly correct sir. I'd say it's a Manx, i had 2 of them. They were the smartest most loyal cats I've ever been owned by. They were brother and sister from different litters, we had them "fixed" anyway. The female was my best friend when i walked into the house after work if i didn't pick her up quick enuff she would climb me like a tree and balance herself around my neck. So much so that i could walk, bend over do just about anything and she never moved. Although on occasion she did dig a claw in but as hard as we played that wasn't even an annoyance. We played this game where i would lay on the floor after she left the room and when she came back and saw me she would frizz arch her back and come at me with fangs, claws, and teeth bared. That's when the fight started. They were both ginger colored but you could tell them apart because Shithead, a name that was earned not given, he given name was Jones because she looked like Ripley's cat in the Alien movies. But she weighed 16 pounds, vet certified, and her brother Hozer weighed 18 pounds and was about 4 inches longer and 3 or 4 inches taller. I measured him one night he was stretched out on the floor sleeping. He was 18 inches tall at the shoulder and 31 from nose to tail. Sadly they both lived to be 16 years old and passed a year apart, the truly sad part is they both died on holidays when i wasn't home to be with them. Shithead passed on an Easter Sunday and Hozer went on the 4th of July. Yes i cried like a baby, i buried them in their favorite spots in the yard and put some of their toys in their boxes. I hope their still playing with them wherever they are. I miss them to this day. They were the smartest most loyal cats I've ever been owned by.

For folks complaining about the tail...I've had cats born without tails, with half a tail, and I even had one who's tail was injured, and we had to have it removed. Manx cats have a spinal defect, which is why they are born without a tail. You wouldn't want to mate two Manx, because the kittens could be born with even less spine, and be crippled or deformed. But a cat with no tail is in no pain, and people don't normally remove a cat's tail unless it has been damaged to the point of no repair. The kitten in this vid was born this way, or it would not be playing around. It is entirely too young to have had surgery to remove it's tail, and be up playing around already.

This little guy one give away is the haunches, back legs, they are kinds built like a rabbit in the back. Also he's pretty active, mine would play in a second when they were younger. One lived to be 16 the other 15. They're also highly intelligent also very loyal. The oldest was a female and everywhere i went she went. I i was outside laying on.a blanket working on the car she was right there on blanket with me. At night i slept on my right side and she would be sleeping on my left shoulder. She was the smartest and most loyal pet I've ever had. She's been gone more than 10 yrs and i still miss her every day. Her real name was Shithead. A name she earned.

Our cat has no tail too. When she was little she was always trying to get hold of the 'nub'. Now she a big girl, she follows our other cat around trying to figure out why she has a tail. You can almost see the curiosity on her face. lol Gizmo was adorable.

One of my school mates from years ago had two Manx cats her mum adopted from a shelter, and both were so loving, sweet little creatures. R.I.P. Polly and Anna. She has a tail.. it's called a bob tail.. And it's a mutation often found in the Manx cat breed and mixes of them.. There are 5 types of tails, which are broken down based on the length.. And from what i saw, it looks like a "Riser" tail... really only popping up when it's excited or happy... Only one tail type that is shorter, which is none or a "Rumpie" (just a bump of hair)..

Some cats need their tails removed for medical reasons and then there are certain breeds that have no tail or have "stumps" anyway. It's only considered a crime to remove an animals tail if there is no valid reason to have it removed.

the cat would not react to a tail if it was never their in the first place, normal cats with tails that have been cut have a high tendency to try to case or just play with the tail that has been cut off. Have you ever see someone with a limb removed? they still feel the motions of the removed limb. So this cat had its tail removed at sometime and still feels as if it is there. This is obviously a bobtail. if it was cut off don't you think there would b a sign that it was removed, since it is so young. plus I highly doubt anyone who has this much love for the animal would injure it... or even buy one who was physically abused. just saying

Simple. Every parent is convinced their baby is the cutest, sweetest, most adorable and brightest and that's how it should be. If people adopt baby pets, the same rule applies. They need to connect and build a bond and if theirs is... you know (see afore mentioned attributes) ... it will happen. In turn it means, while the pet parents see the cutest, sweetest and most adorable pet, the rest of the world see, just a baby pet (regardless the species) and judge it by their own standards of afore mentioned attributes.

Nothing to judge he's precious. We have a litter of what I call tippy heads. Before the age of one the poor things developed a neurological disorder. Thankfully, we finally caught their feral Momma and had her spayed. Before her litter we couldn't get her into the have a heart at all. 3 of her girls have heads that tip to the side thankfully they are well loved, fed, and spoiled here with us.

We played this game where i would lay on the floor after she left the room and when she came back and saw me she would frizz arch her back and come at me with fangs, claws, and teeth bared. That's when the fight started. They were both ginger colored but you could tell them apart because Shithead, a name that was earned not given, he given name was Jones because she looked like Ripley's cat in the Alien movies. But she weighed 16 pounds, vet certified, and her brother Hozer weighed 18 pounds and was about 4 inches longer and 3 or 4 inches taller. I measured him one night he was stretched out on the floor sleeping. He was 18 inches tall at the shoulder and 31 from nose to tail. Sadly they both lived to be 16 years old and passed a year apart, the truly sad part is they both died on holidays when i wasn't home to be with them. Shithead passed on an Easter Sunday and Hozer went on the 4th of July. Yes i cried like a baby, i buried them in their favorite spots in the yard and put some of their toys in their boxes. I hope their still playing with them wherever they are. I miss them to this day. They were the smartest most loyal cats I've ever been owned by.

For folks complaining about the tail...I've had cats born without tails, with half a tail, and I even had one who's tail was injured, and we had to have it removed. Manx cats have a spinal defect, which is why they are born without a tail. You wouldn't want to mate two Manx, because the kittens could be born with even less spine, and be crippled or deformed. But a cat with no tail is in no pain, and people don't normally remove a cat's tail unless it has been damaged to the point of no repair. The kitten in this vid was born this way, or it would not be playing around. It is entirely too young to have had surgery to remove it's tail, and be up playing around already.

This little guy one give away is the haunches, back legs, they are kinds built like a rabbit in the back. Also he's pretty active, mine would play in a second when they were younger. One lived to be 16 the other 15. They're also highly intelligent also very loyal. The oldest was a female and everywhere i went she went. I i was outside laying on.a blanket working on the car she was right there on blanket with me. At night i slept on my right side and she would be sleeping on my left shoulder. She was the smartest and most loyal pet I've ever had. She's been gone more than 10 yrs and i still miss her every day. Her real name was Shithead. A name she earned.
Our cat has no tail too. When she was little she was always trying to get hold of the 'nub'. Now she a big girl, she follows our other cat around trying to figure out why she has a tail. You can almost see the curiosity on her face. lol Gizmo was adorable.

She has a tail.. it's called a bob tail.. And it's a mutation often found in the Manx cat breed and mixes of them.. There are 5 types of tails, which are broken down based on the length.. And from what i saw, it looks like a "Riser" tail... really only popping up when it's excited or happy... Only one tail type that is shorter, which is none or a "Rumpie" (just a bump of hair)..

Some cats need their tails removed for medical reasons and then there are certain breeds that have no tail or have "stumps" anyway. It's only considered a crime to remove an animals tail if there is no valid reason to have it removed.

the cat would not react to a tail if it was never their in the first place, normal cats with tails that have been cut have a high tendency to try to case or just play with the tail that has been cut off. Have you ever see someone with a limb removed? they still feel the motions of the removed limb. So this cat had its tail removed at sometime and still feels as if it is there. Simple. Every parent is convinced their baby is the cutest, sweetest, most adorable and brightest and that's how it should be. If people adopt baby pets, the same rule applies. They need to connect and build a bond and if theirs is... you know (see afore mentioned attributes) ... it will happen. In turn it means, while the pet parents see the cutest, sweetest and most adorable pet, the rest of the world see, just a baby pet (regardless the species) and judge it by their own standards of afore mentioned attributes.

Nothing to judge he's precious. We have a litter of what I call tippy heads. Before the age of one the poor things developed a neurological disorder. Thankfully, we finally caught their feral Momma and had her spayed. Before her litter we couldn't get her into the have a heart at all. 3 of her girls have heads that tip to the side thankfully they are well loved, fed, and spoiled here with us.
You are a great person. I want to adopt every cat I see but don't have the funds or room. I feed any cat that walks by my door. :)
