  • Okolie is on the right here. It’s pretty simple…. You have a contract to fight 5 times by a certain time period. You fought 5 times and the time period is expired, the contract is over ! Unless a further contract was signed during this period in regards to a “void fight” or “further extension” the contract IS OVER. Forget this narrative of “you should be grateful” “he bought you a Rolex” “you only here because of him” ! That is irrelevant, the CONTRACT is over, the BUSINESS is over ! Matchroom has no right to hold him back. They don’t want him to fight for Sky and in turn build their schedule and are simply trying to complicate the situation and ultimately hold someone’s career back. Let the guy go and carry on with his career. Eddie again being a melt.

    • 100% ! People on the comments make me laugh. Eddie is the first to follow the highest bidder. If no contract extension was signed to extend the time period or exclude the 5th fight the Okolie done nothing wrong. • Respct Lawrence- I was able to reserve judgement as you never struck me as the type to behave divaishly, etc, and that had a lot of integrity and maturity....Eddie on the other hand, has exposed himself more and more in recent years, so it was certainly easier to suspect him being at fault, or misrepresenting the situation, etc (altghough I didn't jump to any conclusions there, eiter)... Gotta say, if it went down as you attest- which I see no reason to doubt, as is stands- then your level of chill, and understanding is beyond, mate, kudos! Doubt many would be able to take such a stand after being treated so shadily- mistreated, basically!- and would understandably hold a grudge (even if just extent of not being willing to work with responsible parties again, or, just not being friendly toward, ifthey were business-wise- major props on that, proper high-road stuff)

  • Am I understanding this correctly…..In a nutshell, Matchroom are claiming that he had (for example), a 10 fight deal. One of the 10 fights, due to various reasons, doesn’t count towards the 10 fights that are contracted - therefore, although the contract has expired, there is still 1 more fight to fulfil on LO’s contract according to Eddie.
