FX Impact M3 Air Rifle Hunting || Rabbits, Pigeons, Indian Myna's + Bonus Feral Cat
I'm out on this shoot running my FX Impact M3 in .22 calibre for some BULK pest control shooting. This is a professional pest control cull for a local rabbit and pest bird problem. There is plenty of air rifle hunting and shooting action in this video for you all to watch during the afternoon on the birds (Pigeons, Indian Myna's and Crows). And then after dark on critters with a heap of Rabbits and Rats in the mix.
Running a modern PCP air rifle with thermal and night vision equipment is a very effective and discreet method in the right hands.
My FX Impact M3 is shooting on song in .22 calibre firing 23gr Zan slugs. Scope is a PARD DS3570 RF with an onboard LRF with ballistic hold over capability and I'm using a UK made Sirius Reach external laser IR torch. Thermal hand scanner duties went to the amazing Pulsar Merger LRF XL50 binoculars. For those interested my FX Impact M3 is running a Huma-Air high flow slug & pellet probe but no other power upgrades. It has a standard 600mm barrel with superior liner (not heavy). I'm firing the 23gr slugs at about 955 fps for sub MOA accuracy (Which as 44 ft/lbs for the UK guys that feel the requirement to know this). Few Sabre Tactical upgrades in the mix to the rifle body like the Arca Rail 2, TRS & bag rider. Air supply is by a ShootAir light weight composite tank to refill the rifle bottle as required.
A good portion of these rabbits shot are utilised for the pot or pet food.
I am a licensed vertebrate pest control - contract shooters in NSW. For those wondering about the suppressor, I hold the necessary permit in NSW for use. Ok that was fun to watch By my tallying it’s Rats…….36 Pigeons……27 Indian Minors……16 Rabbits…….52 and 1 cat Nice
Was a good afternoon and night 💪
Nice one bro! Cheers for that tally. It's mind blowing numbers. Legend! 💪🤙
Yeah not bad mate.pretty good numbers
beats using a 22cal $ and less noise good work nathan
And that’s just what was caught on camera. Awesome work on the tally Anthony. No wonder Nathan pre-loads those cartridges at home. I know I’d get the shits if I had to reload 22 pallets every time I was out. lol 😂
Australia needs an army of you to even put a dent in the number of Feral animals we have. Great job mate
Cheers, and we have an army of skilled licensed shooters doing great work everyday 💪
Especially those friggin Mynas. They've exploded in population the past five years, they used to never be in my area west of the Blue Mountains, now they're an epidemic. So often I see them competing with native birds, it's terrible.
Some people say don't bring army in to clean ferals out..people need a hobby and pocket money in the bush meanwhile our natives go existent.if a decent bounty was for toads you certainly have some grub breeding toad's..yes Australia ain't the same..im writing to government band cat ownership from rural areas..we vote native animals can't talk but we can..not even a reply..
The army tried with emus and didn't fair out any good haha. You are spot on but it's definitely got worse over the years.
We should relax the gun laws to let the young kids go around with air rifles and wipe out the ferals.
love seeing cats get pumped! great job Nathan!!
Thanks mate 👌
Those rats at 6:45 got all Dawn of The Dead like 😱
That black puddy tat was hilarious, the acrobatics of feral cats when they take a dirt nap is always worth watching. One less killer down👍
Thanks mate 👌
Those bunnies are so acrobatic! Thanks for taking us on another great shoot.
Thanks Jeff
Big fan of the backflip or forwards summersault here too.
*EDGE of the OUTBACK* Bravo well done, thank-you sir for taking the time to bring us along. GOD Bless.
Glad you enjoyed it
I am not a shooter, but I admire and enjoy your skills with a gun, well done
I really appreciate that Sam
Good stuff Nathan love it the miners are rats with wings. The men’s shed traps work great on the miners 👍👍👍
Yes they do
Breakfast and EotO.....Great start to the day.
Enjoy!
"For all the muppets, no it's not a pet" 😂😂😂
Top job mate! Getting rid of the introduced vermin
Thanks mate 👌
“Easier than the pigs” oh how I laughed 😂. Cracking video.
Thanks mate 👌
Bloody awesome Nathan what a clean out underground mutton, rats and rats with wings, mynas and a bloody cat well done.
Thanks 👍
Holy cow Nathan, I've just seen your post about 500k subscribers.!!! That's exceptional, especially for a hunting channel. Videos such as this one are a testament to your hard work and you personally. Congratulations and greetings from Oxford.
Really appreciate it mate 👌
As always, I hit the thumbs up button right when I start the video because I know it’s going to be a good one. Thanks Nathan for all you do to take us along with you via your channel. 👍🏽
Awesome thank you!
It’s always a beautiful sight watching an Indian Myna get taken out.
Absolutely 👌
I do so enjoy watching you thread the mesh!!! Top job!!! Cheers Ausgranny 🇦🇺🇦🇺🤶
Thank you! 😊
One day you might get the hang of this shooting thing! Very impressive indeed! The black feral cat was my favourite! Cats and foxes are my biggest issue on farm. Looking forward to the next video, cheers for what you do mate 🤙
Thanks mate 👌
"ha HA! your bird intelligence is no match for my human intelligence!" - Peter Griffin
Best part was the black panther's demise. Cheers.
I tend to agree 👍🏻
Reminder that Rabbits were introduced to this country for the sole purpose of hunting. You make our ancestors proud.
Thanks
Our ancestors were fools to bring them here. They should be ashamed of themselves for having done so, along with many other introduced species. Not that they could have known what destruction they would bring. The changes that rabbits alone have made to the detriment of the landscape of this country, both on the coastal fringes and the harsh interior cannot be overstated. The inland of Australia was a lot more lush that it is now, 250 yrs ago. Imagine rabbit plaques totaling Billions, roaming around. There has been many of them. The erosion that causes to the land is devastating /rant.
Mate!!! It’s like ya shoot one and a hundred turn up for the funeral. Really need to get my hands on one of these air-rifles. I love the reload system. As always Cheers Nathan!!!
Glad you enjoyed it Pauly
@@EDGEoftheOUTBACK Cheers Nathan!
Good sweet shooting and a lot of pests the farmer wont miss gone.
Absolutely 👌
mate your an absolute ledgend with your shooting and content keep up the great work
Appreciate it mate 👌
Like a giant sideshow alley except you don’t take home a massive stuffed toy. Really good video thank you 👍
Thanks for watching!
What a diverse infestation and a long overdue cleanout
Thanks mate
Nice work on the little critters. What’s the saying…. Find a job doing something you love and you’ll never work a day in your life. You’re all over it! Great stuff 👍
That's right!
He hunts whatever the property owner asked to be hunted, this is his job not just shooting for fun this is eradicating pests and if one of the critters were to pop up im sure it would get the same treatment cheers people 🤘
Muppets love your style 😂😂
Trigger finger must get tired! Nice shooting.
If there is one thing I love shooting it’s rats then grey squirrels and rabbits. The rats are just pure filthy things. Seen them drag off and eat the dead. Well done Nathan. The fx is a great piece of kit but the shooters doing great work too. Great video
Really appreciate it mate 👌
you’re a great shot man, keep it up
Cheers
The air rifle ping has a satisfying ASMR quality about it. :) :) :)
Absolutely
Brilliant video could do with seeing some more cats getting hammered
Can't shoot what I can't find though mate
"Buzzards gotta eat same as worms" - Josey Wales
Great work Nathan, I especially like seeing those Indian Mynas getting blown away. They are rats of the sky.
Absolutely
Love the Airgun videos!! Keep ‘em coming, thumbs up 👍🏻
More to come!
What a night. Good job
Cheers John
Another excellent, action packed video Nathan, well done. Geoff. UK.
Glad you enjoyed it
Those 100 plus yard shots are amazing!
Thanks!
Well done on knocking down some of those "feathered rats".Keep up the great work .
Thanks, will do!
950 fps is craaazy. What a nice setup that is! Farkenell. If I had that over 30 yrs ago, there would have been a LOT of upset golfers. Those 100yd+ shots were a joy to witness. cheers mate.
Thanks mate, it's certainly next level.
😂😂 golfers are a pain in the arse! Right up there with push bike riders.
@@markharris4421 Bloody oath. I watch dashcams just to see them fuck out.
The bunny at 5:12 couldn't believe what he was seeing his eyes popped out of his head.😂😂
Bit too much internal pressure 😂
I grew up with an air rifle in my hands, these new rifles are just f,n amazing
Absolutely a new level of awesome
Great to see the Indian Myna's copping it. Used to try and shoot them at the farm, but the buggers were always around cattle. Great shot on that moggy too, bloody awful things in the wild.
Cheers mate
Wow, what a heap of fun. Curried bunny for the whole family 😊
Yes it was!
Love to see those Indian miners get it. Theirs a bit of good tucker to pick up. Rabbit and pigeon. Yum.
Carnage :)
Busy night! Love that pard and FX setup 👌
That it was mate
That’s a very impressive piece of kit, 114yrds wow 👍🏻🏴
Thanks mate 👌
It is totally astounding how far airguns have come since I was a kid. These FX fellows are now doing the same and more than a 22 rimfire depending on the muzzle energy. The big difference is that a top of the range FX PCP can be two grand - whereas a 22 rimfire is now virtually worthless and can be picked up for coppers ! Great vid as usual lad - keep em coming.
Cheers mate 👌
Let me know where they are selling the top shelf FX rifles for only 2 grand. Last time I checked the FX Impact Mk3 was over $3600.
That's some shooting!
Cheers
Fantastic video not that I expect any less keep up the fight on the ferals
More to come!
Thanks again cobber. Every one on the deck helps Including the cat.🤠
You bet!
Airguns have their place, and they do fantastic work. People always argue wether powder or poof. If the tool is right for the job- well okay, it got the job done. The professional says: whats`s next ;)
Exactly, use the right tool for the job at hand 👍🏻
WOW! Talk about target rich environment.
Absolutely a packed little place eh
Thankyou . You have helped me decide on using box section with enclosed ends instead of C section. That is just nuts having that much bird shit on your gear. It just shows that it would be worth the effort or just leave the gear out in the elements. Joel 🤟☮️🇦🇺😎👍
Your videos are pure class. Very enjoyable to watch. Your living the dream mate 😂
Glad you like them!
OK Mate, it's taken a few days, but I am now up to date with your posts. Enjoyed every minute of it, thanks for the field trips.
Damn you've gone hard burning through all that. Glad you enjoyed it 💪
Very nice video, i subscribed
Thanks for the sub!
Great channel.@@EDGEoftheOUTBACK
As usual, nice work Nathan.
Thanks again!
Impeccable shooting as always. Cheers for sharing 👍🏾
Thanks mate
Love watching your videos especially with the air rifle! Keep it up!
Cheers
Great work mate. Air rifles have come a long way from when I was a kid
I agree 👍🏻
Great shooting pal great video
Thank you
Great shooting (as usual) I enjoyed the Bonus Feral cat! Keep up the good work! Love watching your videos!
Thanks mate 👌
That was a pleasure to watch. So many pests being eradicated
Cheers mate
One at a time...getting the job done! Great work Nathan !!
Thanks 👍
Sweet rig, Nathan. Love your work
Thank you
Top shelf shooting 👍👍👍
Cheers
Good on ya Nath, that's 3 twisters, large nuggets and a 600ml mountain dew worth of pests
About that 😎
Loved it. Nice shooting. 👍 😅❤
Thanks
Another excellent video Nathan. Helping to cull the feral pests.
Thank you
Thanks mate for your good work. I am glad you shoot feral cats as they are the biggest killer in Australia. Can your .22 air rifle work with feral cats. I have seen huge feral cats!
Absolutely a 22LR round in the right place will kill a feral cat.
Top class as always 👏
Thanks again!
nice shooting 👍
Appreciate it mate 👌
So much red mist, excellent
Thank you! Cheers!
That was one hell of a productive evening! Good work 👍
Thanks 👍
those rabbits are definitely going to the pots! Good shootin mate.
Thanks 👍
Marvelous bit of shooting and therefore entertainment for us, thank you Nathan I especially enjoyed that 17HMR shot on the `panther`.
Thanks Reg 👌
That was a great video. 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
500k subs, bloody awesome. You deserve it mate, a good, no bullshit channel. Amusing when you're out in the paddock and hit one fence wire, but in the shed you're shooting thru all that mesh and not one hit (that we saw) haha. Enjoy your bunny stew
Yeah I was very extremely particular, especially with all the pipes and electrical conduit 😳
I was wondering the same. Any wire hits - although I could see that most are fine given the arc of the slug/pellet.
Awesome Ep, and cracking shooting
Cheers
Excellent days work! It's a shame there was only one malevolent moggie in the mix.
Only seeing one is never a bad thing if ya peg the bugger
Great work yet again. 👍👍
Thanks mate
Man, this guy is a flat out assassin!!! Keep up the good work!!!
Dunno about assassin, unless your a pigeon 😂
Great shooting as always mate - being able to tailor velocities to conditions is brilliant and effective !!!
Absolutely Paul
Great video again mate congrads on the 500k mark thats insane how quick your channel has grown
Thanks a ton!
great shooting, just joined the channel from south wales uk 🏴👍
Welcome mate, and thank you.
Loving the videos! Keep them coming! 🔥
Thank you! Will do!
Gosh Nathan you make shooting look like great fun. Can see your thoroughly enjoying yourself. Spot on accuracy and footage. Great setup you have and you know exactly how to use it. Hope the Family are well 🤗
Cheers mate 👌 All busy busy on the home front ATM
Mynas, pigeons, starlings, rats, rabbits, cats... all introduced. If only we could go back in time...
I think we'd change many things if that was possible
That part where you show the sight in the corner of the screen? Genius. Love your content bud. Keep on keeping farms clear
Thanks, will do!
Fan bloody tastic, get rid of the feathered ferals as well. Great shooting & a job well done.
Thanks 👍🏻
As always, love the videos! 🍻
Much appreciated!
Good job mate !
Thank you! Cheers!
