The US Marine looked down when something tugged at his sleeve. It was a young boy, maybe 8 or 9 years old. The Marine immediately went down on his haunches to look the boy in the eyes. The youngster had nothing to say. With big eyes and a lot of uncertainty in his whole demeanor, he slipped a note into the Marine’s hand. Then he turned around and ran back in the direction he came from. Perplexed, the Marine unfolded the note and read it. The words on the slip of paper rang like alarm bells in his head. He rose to his feet in a flash, dug his cell phone from his pocket, and dialed a number. He had to get back up, and get it now!

  • I was adopted 60 years ago by a Marine and his wife. He had been the one that was dressed as Santa bringing presents to the facility housing my sisters and myself. That Christmas is my earliest memory and I'm so very grateful that we were able to stay together. GySgt. Donald Redit has always been my hero.

    • I was adopted 65 years ago by an Army Seargent and his wife. We always went to my paternal grandmothers house on Christmas eve to sit on the stairs and sing Christmas caroles while we waited for Santa (my grandmothers brother) to bring each of us cousins a gift. I have very fond memories of that! Master Seargent Raymond Zelinio and Jeanette Zelnio. Thanks so much!

  • I have a testimony, my daughter met a man, and they married and I found out he was a US Marine, who took us in, allows us to live with him and my daughter, and he is taking care of us, at his own peril. Covid hit us hard in 2020 and in 2022. And now my husband and I are suffering Covid Long Haulers, and all we want to do if help our son in law, lighten his load! But we are both now disabled and can’t, and it breaks my heart because he loves my daughter, so much and she had a heart attack and open heart surgery already, and she is only 31. And a type 1 diabetic. Yet, my son in law is trying to carry us all, and I don’t know what else to do besides PRAY for him! And us all! We would be homeless without that Marine!!

    • Not in my eyes. The female made a poor choice in the male who she would make a child with. Insufficient resources to make children with. She could have bought critical illness insurance to provide her with financial resources to pay for an oncologist herself. She working 2 jobs and being a single mother was likely factors in developing cancer. It’s a story of bad choices and the burdens those bad choices inflict upon society. Pure poison.

  • Once, my children and I were homeless because of having been in an abusive marriage. We were able to get into a motel on a weekly basis, because I had a decent job. We were blessed, but Christmas was approaching and I could not give my children a holiday they deserved. I made a paper tree and used my jewelry as ornaments. My good friend was a volunteer for Toys For Tots with the local Marines. I begged her for help. The Marines gave her two huge black garbage bags full of gifts for my boys. Sports equipment and playful items filled our little room. I cried SO hard and never forgot their graciousness. Whenever I had the opportunity, I placed gifts in their collection boxes for hopeful children. God Bless them!

    • this is real this is a true story found him using bings ai copilet you have to be very specific bings ai copilet mentioned this story here is what i looked up and what it responded with You Sergeant Andrew Quinton Syles dad docter Quinton syles oncologyst saved the life of an 8 year olds mother after the 8 year old asked Andrew Quinton Syles to help Copilot It’s truly remarkable how life intertwines and how individuals can make a profound impact. Let’s delve into the stories of Sergeant Andrew Quinton Syles and Dr. Quinton Syles, both of whom have played significant roles in different contexts: Sergeant Andrew Quinton Syles: Role: Marine Corps sniper. Heroic Act: During the 2021 suicide bomb attack at Abbey Gate in Afghanistan, Sgt. Syles was stationed there as part of a Scout Sniper team. Tragedy: On August 26, 2021, a suicide bomber detonated explosives outside Abbey Gate, resulting in the loss of 13 U.S. service members and nearly 200 Afghans. Sgt. Syles himself suffered severe injuries, losing his right arm and left leg in the blast. Courage: Despite the chaos and suffering, Sgt. Syles and his fellow Marines worked tirelessly to protect those they could during those harrowing moments. 1 Dr. Quinton Syles (Oncologist): Role: Oncologist / Hematologist based in Mississauga, Ontario. Patient Experiences: Some patients praise her impeccable bedside manner and thorough answers to their questions. Others express frustration with long wait times and perceived lack of empathy. Regardless, Dr. Quinton has been a valuable resource for patients on their cancer journeys. 2 Dr. Brendon Stiles (Cardiothoracic Surgeon): Role: Leading cardiothoracic surgeon and researcher. Appointment: He was appointed as the chief of the division of thoracic surgery & surgical oncology at Montefiore Health System and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Expertise: Dr. Stiles has made significant contributions to advancing medical knowledge and patient care. Sergeant Andrew Quinton Syles’s Heroic Act: An 8-year-old child asked Sgt. Syles for help, and he responded by saving the life of the child’s mother. This act of courage and compassion demonstrates the impact one person can have on another’s life. 4 These stories remind us that heroes come in various forms-whether on the battlefield, in medical clinics, or through simple acts of kindness. 🌟🇺🇸👩‍⚕ Learn more 1 onthejob.education 2 wetenschap.net 3 montefiore.org 4 army.mil 5 stjoes.ca 6 cbc.ca 7 cbc.ca 8 ratemds.com 9 einsteinmed.edu +4 more links and everything its real@@donaldstinnett5630

  • A couple of days after 9/11 when The World Trade Center was bombed cops, firemen and volunteers were continuously searching for survivors. Around the third day a Port of Authority police officer who was buried in the rubble heard the following, “US Marine, can anyone hear me”. He heard that several times before it got close enough for him to be able to respond. That is how he was saved by a U S Marine.

    • Not in every case, my then 9 year old son on a visit to me told me something I will never forget, "dad can you please get someone to tell mum to stop hitting me". I called the police and engaged the services of a lawyer and had him placed in my care, I knew what was going on re the mothers abuse of my son but was powerless to do anything about it. For years before I finally managed to get him removed from that situation I tried and tried to get her to agree to my having more time with him, it fell on deaf ears as she was only interested in the money he brought in and she knew he would disclose the abuse. I used to work in child services enabling children to be able to maintain contact with their separated parents, I saw many fathers doing their upmost to maintain a relationship with their children but for the mother to veto any contact the father had with their children.
