There was also an andelite plot to create a virus that would kill every yerk on Earth. There was a small chance that it would kill all humans as well, but that was seen as not really a problem since it would be less bodies for the Yerks to use.

  • Surprisingly spot on about the book series lol. The morphs were never described as hurting (just having a distant feeling like you know it's supposed to hurt) but they are described as being absolutely horrifying, so horrifying that the characters prefer to look away from each other lest they scream in horror or vomit at the sight. They would also occasionally lose their ability to scream mid-morph if the animal didn't have the vocal chords to support it (a common occurrence given that they turned into flies, fleas and cockroaches more time than they would have liked). The books also described the morphs as happening in random ways, that is, not everything at once. There were times when characters fell on their faces because they lost their legs mid-morph, and one of the characters was actually talented at morphing, being able to control how she morphs (like one time where she lost her wings last coming out of bird morph so she looked kinda angelic doing so) Aside from the morphing, as other comments mentioned, it's a surprisingly dark series about alien invasions, child soldiers, not knowing who you could trust, genocide, body horror, moral ambiguity, bodysnatchers, guerilla warfare, and of course, how freaking cool the animal kingdom is.

Including the hard covered solo books. The TV series was a let down because it was so slow paced and needed a larger budget. Anyway I tried to revive the stories digitally a few years ago and approached the morphs the same way Wren did. It was cool to see you guys do it in 3D. I still plan to work on a VR version of one of the books and would like to take a similar approach to the morphs as you guys, but maybe a little higher fidelity. Would love to see you guys take on a serious animal morph with a animated character moving into the morph and then continuing the animation. Also maybe morphing parts separately like a werewolf in AWW in London. Would like to see how high a quality you guys can do.

  • I remember seeing these books on the shelve in the public library when I was a kid (back in elementary school). They were sometimes near or around the Goosebumps section. I never read them, but their book covers were unforgettable. I never would've imagined they tackle such heavy subjects for being a kid's book👀😳📚

  • I don’t know if y’all will see this or not, but these past few months I’ve been in such a dark place. I suffer from Bipolar 1 disorder and experience a lot of thoughts of, how should I put this, not wanting to be here? I experience severe highs and lows, and when I get low, I get *low.* I have been watching y’all’s videos for a couple of years now, but these past few months of watching your content has really made a impact on my mental health. In all of your videos, y’all express extreme joy and happiness, and overall positivity. I don’t know how just watching videos could have helped me out of this rut, but it has. I was on the verge of doing something I wouldn’t be able to take back, and I just want y’all to know how much I appreciate your positivity, and teamwork. I also have learned so much about digital art, and behind the scene work in films. My two biggest passions, _Art_ and _film._ I’m sure I am not the only one that has benefited from this content. Thank y’all so much for spreading positivity and education and several different things. _-Jackie Cortez_ 💛🖤

  • I'm very happy that he mentions the dark plot of the books, and even happier he is re-reading them. I adore Animorphs and I still read them as an adult. I love the silly covers, and while I like the humour around it, I'm glad people are looking deeper than the covers. I do recommend checking out international covers, like Japanese and Vietnamese. Especially the Vietnamese covers, they are fully drawn and beautiful.
