The Animorphs went hard. A series about genocide, dismemberment, loss of identity, suicide, etc and adults decided to stick that series in ever scholastic book fair ever.
agreed.
Right?! I mean, it didn’t shy away from the reality of war either, not everyone makes it out, but it’s still a masterfully told story.
....genocide?
@@RickR69 Like the 2nd last book, one of the kids has a chance to destroy a helpless ship full of yerks. He straight up explodes it, killing thousands. There was also an andelite plot to create a virus that would kill every yerk on Earth. There was a small chance that it would kill all humans as well, but that was seen as not really a problem since it would be less bodies for the Yerks to use.
Don't forget the use of disabled child soldiers.

jordan is ridiculously funny in this. “i can hear the tone and i don’t like it” had me unable to breathe bc that’s me and my friends. love yall
I'm so stoked when Jordan's in a video--you always know he's going to be hilarious.
I laughed out loud when he low key testifies to employer - employee abuse at 4:34
6:16 For those who want the timestamp for that :)
Matt: You can see the joy in his eyeballs Jordan: All balls probably They are so unhinged but so goddamn funny
I shid and fard
Matt and Jordan just emits this energy of "goblins scheming some shenanigans" and I absolutely love it everytime
I can agree
The Nikoala bear was by far the most disturbing. But seeing Nick get his dream turned to sizzling reality brought a tear to my eye :)
my eyes were sweaty as well

Даааа! ❤❤❤
Agreed, this was tasty.
Sam looks like a dad being forced to sit through his kids play. The body language is strong in that one.
The morphs in the books were described with a fair bit of body horror, so this is nailing it.
I remember reading the one where a they are on a plane and morph into flies with one being smashed and their friends carrying the smashed one into a plane bathroom stall so he could morph back into a person before all his fly parts dry out and he dies. Definitely some nightmare fuel level reading!
@@VariantAEC Sounds about right. Also the sheer mental horror of morphing into ants and having the hive-mind instincts take over.
Remember the one where they lost track of time as wolves, barely made the two hour time limit, and nearly got stuck mid-morph? They were all basically that shot at 1:29
Like the werewolf transformation in hemlock Grove?
@@CrownRock1 Being trapped as an animal would be bad enough. Getting stuck as a mishmash of yourself and something else would be agonizing. Parts like bones wouldn't fit together right and if you got stuck between yourself and a critter that didn't have bones I'm not sure what would happen.
This chaotic group of Matt, Dean, and Jordan is my favorite.
I was thinking early in the vid that there was Professor McGonagall telling them "Why is it that when something happens at Corridor, it's always you three?"
Won't be surprised if they start a cult, if not already have one
Guys, never stop. This brought me more laughs than anything on the market.
Jordan's joy at being a turtle was pure childhood
3:55 the fact that Dean doesnt even acknowledge the "all balls, probably" makes it even funnier

Sam and Niko have amazing hiring skills because everyone I've seen in these videos seem like they're really passionate about what they're doing.
I'm Vietnamese and i was crazy about this series in middle school. I skipped breakfast to save money to rent those books and read it from a book rental store. The Animorphs offers a pretty cool, albeit a bit savage, perspective with the idea of being trapped in one's own body. Worth the experience even though I haven't read them all myself xD
Don't judge a book by the cover! Those stories were amazing and surprisingly dark 😮
Lol war horror stories about mass genocide and twisted morality involving teenagers. Now available at a scholastic book fair near you!
In all seriousness without the popularity of this series we wouldn't have Twilight or The Hunger Games
Haha wren literally says that in the first minute.
@@neutraltoxici mean, i dug them in 3rd grade, loved mortal kombat, starship troopers, evil dead, gundam, loved that stuff and didnt have a problem following the political intrigue, commentary on the horrors of militarism/fascism and just fun gore haha
The child who got stuck in the body of an animal and couldn't turn back was wild
Surprisingly spot on about the book series lol. The morphs were never described as hurting (just having a distant feeling like you know it's supposed to hurt) but they are described as being absolutely horrifying, so horrifying that the characters prefer to look away from each other lest they scream in horror or vomit at the sight. They would also occasionally lose their ability to scream mid-morph if the animal didn't have the vocal chords to support it (a common occurrence given that they turned into flies, fleas and cockroaches more time than they would have liked). The books also described the morphs as happening in random ways, that is, not everything at once. There were times when characters fell on their faces because they lost their legs mid-morph, and one of the characters was actually talented at morphing, being able to control how she morphs (like one time where she lost her wings last coming out of bird morph so she looked kinda angelic doing so) Aside from the morphing, as other comments mentioned, it's a surprisingly dark series about alien invasions, child soldiers, not knowing who you could trust, genocide, body horror, moral ambiguity, bodysnatchers, guerilla warfare, and of course, how freaking cool the animal kingdom is.
Ha! Guerilla warfare...deep cut
So like Halo’s Spartan-II program on steroids, on shrooms, made by people on heavy acid trips. (For reference, I’m just assuming that all drugs have insane psycheatric effects; I don’t actually know as I’ve never tried or researched.) (You can’t get demonetized for a comment, right?)
They also had a time limit or potentially get stuck as the animal. 2 hours ain't much time. So it was, back and forth, back and forth. They were lucky if it happened the same way twice.
@@isaacfrand3824 steroids have a more long term phycological damage where as shrooms are more short term (still can cause long term psychological damage though)
@silverseth7 and Tobias gets stuck as a hawk. Although he does get morphing power back later from the elimist
Editing on these episodes is subtle but so so good. The music design and audio touches have leveled up so much. Comedic beats feel really tight in the edit. We notice 👍
I was thinking the exact same! The channel is really starting to feel like it is created by professional VFX artists. Even the goofy and silly videos like this still looks better than most of shit coming out on live TV
whenever the whole office gets together for a fun video its always a banger
When Jordan said, “bird up,” I knew the tone of this episode and had to keep myself from bursting out laughing- until of course, the sleep deprived Dean saying, “we’re doing something important” -that’s a soundbite that will forever be in my head. Thank you 😂
"I'm an artist" - Dean
Wasn’t expecting him to be a banban memer though
Animorphs was intense Book 1: hehe I'm a kitty Book 5: only the dead have seen an end to war
i love how they’re actual artists and the best compliment they can come up with for this is “art”
my favourite scene is when Dean says "it's morphin' time and then morphs all over those guys." 7:53
Both Jordans have honestly been the best additions to the crew in recent years 😂
Now they can be differentiated as Turtle Jordan and Horse Jordan.
My favorite part is when they said: "It's morphin time" and started morphin all over the place.
Truly one of the videos Corridor has ever made
Please, don't the morph.
Jordan's reaction to other Jordan as a horse was GOLD! She had the perfect mix of confusion & disgust! LOL
did anyone else notice that they used reverse footage at 10:42 ? All the cars are driving backwards. I thought I was seeing things at first.

I noticed that too. Tells you what a good build it was that he actually finds it useful.
The blueprint is open source and Martina from NerdForge made a full glove around that 3D print, and she keeps using that glove as well. So I agree it must be a really good blueprint.

Love watching Dean take the initiative to learn VFX/3D and continue to get better. Love you silly gooses

11:25 I see this being a meme soon
Ok so Jordan, Matt and Dean were the comedy trio I didnt know I needed, more of these guys together 😂😂
Whoever edited this deserves to listen to the first 2 seconds of this video on max volume with headphones.
There's literally ringing in my ears. Thanks guys.
I don't understand why people have their volume turned up so damn high, it's their own fault. Headphones have absolutely nothing to do with it.
@@cenciende9401 KZhead videos aren't all the same volume, simple as that. I might go from a video of someone talking at low volume that causes me to turn KZhead's volume up and then go to a video of someone screaming and peaking their mic in the first second without any warning. I don't have my volume that high but the scream was so loud that it really needs to be mentioned that it's not cool to put that in the first second of a video. My ears weren't ringing from it or anything but I don't really enjoy people screaming in my ears regardless of the volume unless if I'm listening to music.
12:40 so glad you guys caught the Drake realization on camera!
Man this channel has the best chemistry between its members. It looks so fun to work there. This video was hilarious haha
two memorable quotes: Dean: "I lived a portion of my childhood in florida" Jordan: "I'm sorry" and the other Jordan's: "WOW" *horrified by the crimes against nature*
"his big ol chompers!"
"I can't hear WHAT you're saying... but I hear the tone... and I don't like it." 😂
Make this a series! Now you gotta transform into your ideal Transformer.
The crew challenge videos are so good man. Love the good vibes between the crewmembers.
Dean did such a great job! Especially on Jallen's nightMare cinematic!
I could feel the joy coming through the tv. Narratively, the editing, the comedy, such a great video, absolutely loved it. ❤

When drawing someone whispering, I'm officially changing it from "pssst!" to "pisssed!" 🤣
I was looking for this comment. Apparently it was also loud and directional. That checks out.
I think I've watched this episode about 4 times now. I don't normally make a habit of re-watching these videos but this one is just so good. Watching everyone's expressions and all the witty jokes without, it's just really extrudes a feeling of joy, and excitement. Please do more of these. :D
I have not loled at a video in a long time. This video had me crying. Need more of this content. A dynamic trio Matt, dean, and jordon (the horse in my heart)
I always loved flipping through the animated pages in the bottom corner. Never read the books. Just flipped through the corners at the library 😅
I just bought a tin of reprints of the first 6 books, but they don't have that... or the full animal image at the start... It just doesn't feel the same..
This trio's energy is so contagious.
This was really well done! You guys allways put out amazing content but this one has to be my favorite in a long while

I've never laughed this hard at a Corridor Crew video! Amazing! Pure joy!
i need more of this specific trio, the energy was IMMACULATE
The Animorph book series came out my early years of teaching. She was still releasing them monthly back then. I brought every book read it myself and added it to my class room. Including the hard covered solo books. The TV series was a let down because it was so slow paced and needed a larger budget. Anyway I tried to revive the stories digitally a few years ago and approached the morphs the same way Wren did. It was cool to see you guys do it in 3D. I still plan to work on a VR version of one of the books and would like to take a similar approach to the morphs as you guys, but maybe a little higher fidelity. Would love to see you guys take on a serious animal morph with a animated character moving into the morph and then continuing the animation. Also maybe morphing parts separately like a werewolf in AWW in London. Would like to see how high a quality you guys can do.
"he doesn't hurt us here. anymore" 💀💀
I know we're in for a nightmare inducing treat when it starts as an idea between Matt and Jordan! 😂
These 3 have absolutely amazing on screen chemistry together.
I still have the vast majority of these books Including The Ellimist Chronicles, The Andalite Chronicles, The Hork-Bajir Chronicles. The Ellimist would definitely make a great sci-fi movie and a great teaser to gauge whether people would want to watch. Get on it Hollywood.
The bird up bit caught me so off guard. I love the Eric Andre Show.
I remember seeing these books on the shelve in the public library when I was a kid (back in elementary school). They were sometimes near or around the Goosebumps section. I never read them, but their book covers were unforgettable. I never would've imagined they tackle such heavy subjects for being a kid's book👀😳📚
16:32 That's like Professor Lupin's transformation into a werewolf in Harry Potter: The Prisoner of Azkaban.👨🐺
15:55 - that hard cut is just comedy genius
Glad to see Animorphs getting more attention these days! Maybe they'll reprint the entire book series because old copies are EXPENSIVE and I have pretty big gaps in my collection. : (
They are doing each of the books in comic book form.
If you haven’t already, start haunting all the used book stores in your area. If you visit someplace look to see if they have a used book store and take a peak.

I don’t know if y’all will see this or not, but these past few months I’ve been in such a dark place. I suffer from Bipolar 1 disorder and experience a lot of thoughts of, how should I put this, not wanting to be here? I experience severe highs and lows, and when I get low, I get *low.* I have been watching y’all’s videos for a couple of years now, but these past few months of watching your content has really made a impact on my mental health. In all of your videos, y’all express extreme joy and happiness, and overall positivity. I don’t know how just watching videos could have helped me out of this rut, but it has. I was on the verge of doing something I wouldn’t be able to take back, and I just want y’all to know how much I appreciate your positivity, and teamwork. I'm very happy that he mentions the dark plot of the books, and even happier he is re-reading them. I adore Animorphs and I still read them as an adult. I love the silly covers, and while I like the humour around it, I'm glad people are looking deeper than the covers. I do recommend checking out international covers, like Japanese and Vietnamese. Especially the Vietnamese covers, they are fully drawn and beautiful.
