Sandy shores in gta 5 is based off a town near the saltin sea, few hundred miles away near ocotillo wells, wouldn’t surprise me if a lot of locations are visible from each other that are supposed to be hours apart

One thing I’ve been curious about is if light pollution will be in the game. Maybe the further you go away from the big cities the more stars you can see. The night sky in RDR2 was so good and I hope we get something like that.
Would be cool, but realistically i don't think there's anywhere in Florida you could go to be further enough away from a major population centre to see a sky anywhere close to Red deads.
That's actually in RDR2 already. No doubt it'll be in 6

yeah exactly, somehow gta sa gave you that sense of traversal between map parts much better than gta V ( let alone IV). people think it all had to do with draw distance, but SA's map was excellent. hope we A get that sense of really travelling and B the immersion RDR2 gave us with homestead interiors and great dynamic in npc movement etc. would love to see a military base for example, which we can actually enter ( not as a post game online DLC, but just something that's in the game) and be able to find significant items and weapons at random. the way it looks at this point seems like a lot more and dense interiors and F man.. if the Grass Rivers ( everglades) can give off that same vibe the Black Bayou did in RDR2 then im good :P

I'd be happy with 2 major cities, and a few scattered smaller cities/towns. But, I think I'd also rather have a more buildings we can enter.

Rockstar described the map in GTA:VC as "too flat" in hindsight. Curious to see how they deal with that in this game, beyond making the city more interactive. There's some hills in north Florida, so maybe we'll be getting the whole state after all...we'll see.

I wonder if the social media clips are the in game way of doing a 'mission review', for example you get your own feed and clips populate it relative to your story and side mission progress, with a lot of clips being representative of what happened or is related to a specific mission, as a nice reminder for the player

18:00 the woman twerking will probably be a random event that happens and I wouldn’t be surprised if she fell off the car and got hit / run over as apart of the event. I also theorize the same with the slide show event we saw in the trailer, where people will get hit by the cars. I’d even bet that you could take a picture/video of their bodies to add to some of the chaos LOL.
I would rather have a very detailed major city with more enterable buildings filled with NPCs than a really large map with several cities that doesn’t feel alive. People expect too much.
Rockstar learn and trial a lot in their games with what does and doesn’t work and pick out what works for the next title … the Feedback from 5 was definitely too much open inhabited area. Where as RDR open space works really really well.. gta not so much (unless there is something to do in the open land)
@@flaminpain6538 you’re right. Red Dead did a better job at that. It still lacked a decent amount of interiors to explore. I love the wildlife in the game but you don’t get too many NPCs out there. You’ll see a few here and there. I was hoping to see a group of people fishing by a river and then you could go and join them haha. But I’m still hyped for gta 6. Whatever they end up doing, hopefully it blows us all away

What an honor to be immortalized in the most anticipated trailer of all time. Lucky bunch of folks (and gators).
I like the idea of big weapons in the trunk or duffle bag. Those bigger weapons can be over powered to the point where it starts to take away from the fun, like a God mode cheat activated. Needing to interface with your trunk or a large bag would put just enough constraints on the player to make the use of the bigger weaponry feel more rewarding and help you feel more vulnerable knowing that they won't always be on you. If I was designing it, I'd say sniper riffles and rocket launchers go in a duffle bag or trunk, chain guns can only be stored in the trunk. Everything elelse belong ls in the weapon wheel like normal. This frees the weapon wheel up to have slots be easier to select or frees up some of the slots that used to hold the larger weapons to use as dual wielding options.
Do as lenghty show as you want as long as the quality is good. I am fine with the usual.
I just hope the first person driving is realistic and the cars sound good and powerful

JJ & DD!! There have been 2 stories just this week about people being bitten by the wildlife!! First was a guy in south Florida who was bitten by a crocodile (in the leg, he survived) and the other was a bit further north (a gator this time, I think they also survived). The guy in south FL went in the water when his boat capsized and was merely trying to get to shore.
In the mapping project people have found a temporary texture for a road sign in the leaks with the state of Florida design on it where the state is beside the highway number, which gives me hope that there is a Leonida panhandle and that the map design will be present on highway signs. And if Rockstar is advertising GTA VI as visiting Leonida not just Vice City then that could add more proof to the map being more accurately shaped (with some creative liberties taken) to Florida's borders

With the weapons in the car, I expect it to be more like Red Dead Redemption 2 with the horse. There could maybe even be a feature where you can have the car come to you as you can do that with Tesla cars
The duffel bag when it appears in the leaks is actually not related to the weapons. The first time we see it it is explicitly labeled as "Loot Bag", the other time it automatically equipped and used to store larger amounts/bulkier types of loot, specifically we see gold bars and bundles of cash being stored in it. So the duffel bag is most likely just used to either expand your loot inventory, or necessary to carry more cumbersome loot types, like gold bars.
What if using the in-game phones and the social media apps is the only way we access strangers and freaks? Perhaps they don't appear as random blips on the map or as events as we drive around, but they unlock only when we interact via the social media posts. That could keep the map clean for one thing, as well as give us a reason to use the in-game social media apps, and could also limit certain interactions to only one of the playable characters based on who they follow, as well as maybe even limiting them to a certain "chapter" in the chronology of the story.
The naked man running footage was taken in Ontario. It has nothing to do with Florida at all.

Its crazy how Rockstar knows how desperate people are for this game, a website change literally makes people go nuts. Imagine have a brand with that kind of power. Must be intoxicating and the pressure must be immense.
However big the map is, i hope there's tons of interesting stuff happening independent of our actions, concerts, street performances, NPCs committing crimes, Stangers/freaks/Crazies, not just "side missions" i love roaming around watching stuff happen in the world when we don't immediately get involved

The real life footage of the naked man running past the gas station happened in Canada, not Florida. He is running by a Petro-Canada which is a Canadian gas company. Any Canadian would recognize that logo! So while that footage isn’t related to the news story you quoted that’s not to say that both can’t be inspiration for the clip in the trailer.
We apologize for not being Canadian. We did find a news article about something very similar happening in Florida though. Guess people just love getting naked in gas stations...

You gotta think, Rockstar is actually teaming up with the creators of FiveM. Knowing how mods are required just to have a certain type of realism like filling a car with gas, or storing your guns, drugs, etc in the trunk while you roleplay, imagine GTA 6 with those right off the bat

Hi James and Dan, thankyou for answering my question to the best of your knowledge and experience in the gaming community. It was a satisfactory though disappointing answer, and I'm not moaning or slagging you down or anything like that. However, with the advancement in mobile phone technology and with the progression of social media since the original 3, Liberty City, Vice City, San Andreas, and even in G.T.A. IV and G.T.A. V, I suspect that mobile phones will have a big part to play in G.T.A. VI, as far as drug deals go, piracy, and the social side of the game. I suspect that we may need to refer to schedules, or calendars on the mobile phones, or even have reminders. Hopefully, the mobile phones will not get annoying, all I have to say is 'Hey cousin, let's go bowling.' and you'll know exactly what I mean. With Trevor's 'Maud' missions we got photographs through to our mobile of the intended target, we had. Lap dancers that we'd scored with messaged us to contact them back. So I can only think that the mobile will have even more apps that we're able to use in game. So I suspect managing our social network through telephone number or social media will be and important part of the game. Maybe, we'll be able to send footage of a store we've scoped out, to our gang friends. Maybe we'll be able to mislead others with texts in order for us to achieve our goal. Considering, that their probably will be this advancement in social networking in the game, we can only manage that social/criminal/law enforcement network by being able to manage our time. I couldn't process the thoughts or the words of what I meant, but I do have a brain-injury that gives me several cognitive problems. But, thank you again for answering my question to the best of your abilities at the time.
3:30 they tried it first in RDR. It works and is immersive. Also, I asked rockstar to do this in 5 on social club like a decade ago
they might add Orlando and maybe a huge theme park as DLC if its not in the base game
Something interesting to note this year in Miami spring break was basically canceled because it was so crazy last year that they don’t want anything like that to ever happen again
it would be a cool mission or side mission where you take part in the bike/atv event to infiltrate a gang

I'm not sure if you guys have talked about it but id like to hear you guys talk about how Rockstar would innovate their game design after gta v and rdr2, basically a response on nakeyjakeys video on "Rockstar's game design is outdated" and speculate how you guys think rockstar should change their formula in their gameplay.
i'm very confident the Motorbike rideouts and the car meet takeover will be dynamic random events that can happen anytime throughout the game(most likely if you are in a specific location at a specific time it will trigger), I wouldn't even be surprise if you can partake in them yourself by just getting on a bike/follow them through the streets or get a car and join in with the donuts or interfere and go full GTA mode and try to run them over etc haha, Obviously they could be scripted missions events but i have a feeling they will be dynamic random events to some extent, It wouldn't be that difficult to implement they already have a similar thing in GTA 5 with the biker gangs that ride around and stick together and having some cars spawn at an intersection doing donuts at night seems very plausible, Im just interested as to how you will be able to interact with them, It would be annoying if you try to join in and they all just stop and get off their bikes glitch out and ride off separately, and the takeover it would be annoying if you join in accidently hit their car and they all stop the random event and disperse, But there is alot of possibility for interesting interactions, Imagine stealing a police car and chasing them with lights and sirens they might react accordingly who knows, Im confident they will be dynamic random events you can interact with though, having these for just a single missions would be disappointing Also, the rideouts happen WAY more frequently than just once a year, You can youtube it for yourself there are multiple every month and the street takeovers happen pretty much every week, you can even look on google maps and see alot of the intersections have tyre marks everywhere, Its more common than you may initially think, its only once a year the big organized group rides happen which is when the police get involved and follow them through the streets and catch the riders that fall behind/run out of fuel/fall off, Events like the GVO, MLK rideout etc are the larger ones
I'm down for personal vehicles like the horses in RDR2 where you keep your weapons and can retrieve them but can only carry a few at a time.
I really hope we have another big city on the opposite side of the map, perhaps Tampa on the upper west side of the map. It would give people a reason to leave Vice City. Port Gellhorn might be a Sandy Shores like city. Keep in mind that location of things in the trailer will change. GTA V’s trailers feature things that take place in different locations.
Future video ideas I know you’ll probably get to them but .. Nightlife and things to do in the game (it’s been hinted a lot about parties and clubbing in the trailer) but other things like I golf or tennis will be back or BOWLING! .. Romance and Relationships (can you customise Lucia and Jason’s relationship or see other people as well) and customisation hairstyles weight.. growing hair mechanics and gyms All good things to speculate and branch on

I wouldn't be surprised if Tampa/Ft Meyers get combined into 1 city. Orlando/Fairyland up north, slightly inland. Maybe those are the 3 large urban areas.

Well in all fairness one of the leakers said it was 3 major cities, in the first GTA 5 trailer almost nothing outside of Los Santos was shown, there has been many more places reference in the leaks and trailer that has not been shown

I honestly think there will be a co op story mode. I think the Franklin and Lamar weed missions were R⭐️ testing the idea. The dialogue in the first trailer supports this. “The only way we are going to get through this is by sticking together. Being a team. Trust.” Drop in drop out co op for story mode would be a game changer. 👩❤️👨

Something that has just occurred to me about the social media in the game - I wonder if when you're 'wanted' or have a RDR2 style bounty, do you get exposed if you appear in a Tik Tok which goes viral?
You know, I find it amusing that before the trailer was announced, I didn't really care that much about the game or even GTA V for that matter. I find it a pretty boring game, and don't enjoy that much. However, I am a very big fan of open world games, especially in the modern era. But after the trailer was released, I have become the most hype for any game I think I have ever been. And that's how I find you guys channel and I just love listening to you and theorizing with you

The problem with the map is that there is no indication, at ALL, of other cities and anything up north higher than what has been shown in the trailers and especially the leaks. Because the trailer is Rockstar showing us what they want which was completely limited to what we already knew from the leaks. If there were other cities, we probably would have seen it in the leaks and trailer. Also, a detail that makes me believe this even more, is that in not a single video or image of road signs, in the leaks or the trailer, shows names of places we didn't know about already. If there were other cities they would show up on the signs, because we have seen signs that point north towards Lake Leonida, which don't have other names on it that would be in real life if there was a city up north, given that there aren't going to be a billion different highways that go north. So don't get your hopes up. The map is looking like it'll be a bit small sadly
Map won’t be small trailers for RDR 2 iirc didn’t show Saint Denis so they could potentially be holding off on showing to much of the map so it’s more of a surprise when we explore the map ourselves

i think most of, if not all of these events will be like Red dead where they just happen and if you miss it you miss it

I don't see rockstar games making a countdown for Gta 6 trailer 2 because of a potential of another leak.
This sounds reductive when we're looking forward to new features, but the more I revisit GTA IV the more I want this game to he more like it than V.

I won’t expect anything more of VI until at least November/December. The game doesn’t come out until minimum next year. There’s no point promoting this early. Everyone knows about VI.

Considering with RDR2 having multiple states i dont see it being far fetched we will have all of Florida to play in. If the map being expanded turns out to be true with single player, which i pray it is, then adding more states or maybe expanding Florida, would be great for future expansions or what not. One can hope i guess.

I think you're really limiting how much of Florida we'll potentially see in the GTA VI map, I'd be shock if a version of Palm Beach wasn't in the game, it's really not that far North, only 80 miles from Miami. I mean GTA V's Alamo Sea is based off of the Salton Sea and it's 160 miles from Los Angeles.
I used to watch every episode of gta 5 o'clock when I was 12, now I'm 24, lol

Palm Beach Gardens isn't that far from Miami (80.7 miles/130km). Orlando is about 3x as far - 236 miles.
Why should theme parks be in this game? They weren't in GTA V, and last time I looked at a map Anaheim is a lot closer to LA than Orlando is to Miami..
