Our 1989 model 15 what is desperate need of new wheel bearings and hub seals. While inspecting the brake pads for the bogie wheels I discovered the the slack adjusters had been adjusted outside of normal working order. This was done by the previous owners because they did not want to replace the almost non-existing brake shoes. Also, something I didn’t mention in the video, the price for the brake shoe replacement kit was for two complete kits.

I love the fact that you clean and paint the parts befor puting them back on
Me too😄. It was messy project for sure and a good cleaning was definitely needed🤘🏼
Great video very good explanation and detail keep up the great videos I am learning and reviving a 1986 eagle coach 300 000 miles total
300k is pretty good for an Eagle. Engine and drivetrain were reman’d in ‘09 but only have 86k on them… lots life life👌🏼. As for the rest of things, you can see where I’m at 😄 Thanks for watching!
air chisel and torch should be your next tools you buy
Id love a torch! We’re usually on the road, so the space would be too limited for that. However, I do have a 4” angle grinder and a solder torch😄. I also picked up an pneumatic hammer to help with the kingpins Thanks for the comment✌🏼
Good education my brother
Appreciate that. Always trying to share the wealth😉✌🏼
great video.
Thank you! Always a work in progress 😄
Wow well done!
Thank you!
Hope you put new drums on with the new shoes
New drums for eagles are like “unobtainium”🥲😉. But the drums were still within spec for inner diameter. Walls were still straight too.
Good stuff. Like your explanation while you work. On another note, any suggestions on insurance companies I can look into for my Eagle?
Thanks for watching! We use State Farm and I believe they are starting become the norm for most. Progressive is a definite no go,so ovoid them. We two policies on our bus. One is for a no commercial bus and the other is for the personal items inside. Best of luck !
