See our NEW behind-the-scenes breakdown: • Farrier Video Breakdow...
This is a video I created for a local Michigan farrier business. I wanted to capture the essence of what a farrier actually is in this client project. As the son of a farrier, I always knew the lifestyle well. However, I also know most people don't. No, it doesn't have to do with boats, but horses. 🐴 This is the story of what a farrier is, what it takes to be one, and a sneak peek of the day-to-day tasks from a farrier's own perspective.
The client for this creative project is a certified farrier, a sole proprietor of his own practice, and my brother: Kody Harris.
Kody isn't taking on clients at this time. This piece is an example of my work as a filmmaker and mainly for entertainment purposes. Still, if you'd like to reach out to him, you can email him here: kodyharris3922@gmail.com
This is my first client video I've shared here on the channel.
Let me know if you liked seeing it and want to see more!

  • Man, I've got to tell ya, this was a great video to bump into. I work on motorcycles, but have been laid off for a while which leaves me searching for another direction and interested in becoming a Farrier, basically from working on steel horses to real ones. Looks like something I would like to pursue, and man, the verse he quoted brought a tear to my eye.

  • Very nice! Kody was at Heartland Horseshoeing School the same time I was. He came in later in the school and worked hard and succeeded which is always awesome to see in a young person. Keep up the good work Kody!!

  • I never want to be called a farrier, been shoeing forty five years, raised in ark, blacksmith is what I am and also you forgot to mention it should be in the heart, not the wallet, to become a great blacksmith, enjoy your farrier tiltle

    • Nice to hear from another farrier, sir. It's just what it's called. I know lots of farriers, most call themselves horseshoers. Made for a good video. Also, I think through the story of how he got started, it's pretty clear Kody's heart was in it. Thanks for the comment, Mr. Farrier.
