Once my childhood dog saved our house from a robbery by repeatedly trying to nock down the man and made him drop his knife the man kicked my dog in the head but my dog kept biting his leg I called the police and they arrested the man he got 10 years in jail for animal abuse and robbery we took my dog to the vet he had really hurt his head but he fully recovered and went on to live 6 more years

I wonder why the dog was doing that. The fish was too far gone to be saved and a few sprinkles of water would not help. It seems the fish needed to be completely in water.
It’s not saving the fish. It’s just trying to hide the food source for later. This is exactly how dogs try to cover their toys and treats. Imagine there was a dirt instead of concrete. On the other hand people filming their dogs fighting venomous snakes make me cringe. I would call off my dogs immediately.

For most of the animals' behavior you can ascribe instinct; but with dogs, I still believe something more than simple pack mentality is at work when they protect a human. We're so lucky to have them.

Because they still have the wolf 🐺 instinct on them. How? Wolves in a pack protect each other. If one wolf sees that the other wolf is in danger, that wolf will protect it from danger than that same wolf will do the same. He will protect the pack leader. And also because they comfort each other. Dogs do the same thing as wolves do. If we treat them nicely and give them love ❤️ they will not only see us as friends but they will see us as part of the pack. Dogs know that we will love them & protect them from danger and in return, they protect us.

As an previous owner of 3 german shepards, if you have property and value, as well as children you want to protect, these are the dogs. They are the bravest dogs and aren't afraid of dealing damage to protect. But also thats the catch! They need propper training! You have to be strict to them, they need that or they go rogue. But if you train them propper you have the best bodyguards you can wish for. When I was a child one of my shepards saved me from another dog that attacked me.

I learned to train German Shepherds, Belgium Mals and we owned a Dutch Shepherd when I was married so I'm partial to those breeds but the golden retriever being so gentle with the fish was my favorite 👍

Honestly, my heart went out to the mama polar bear most. Being the most deadliest bear, she could've easily annihilated each and every dog with one bite, but she chose to defend her cubs and herself above all. I think all my mamas out there can understand her reasoning.

When I was a child, our Cocker Spaniel stopped my sister from going out in the yard. The dog had seen a snake and was keeping my sister well away from it. We were astonished at the time and so thankful.

My late father used two have two Dobermans, Clarissa and Stellina, the two were so protective of me when I was a baby, one slept next to me, the other one slept beneath my bed. I really hope the two are having fun in the doggo heaven, they both unfortunately both died three months from each other.

My cat saved his month old brother, he had gotten stuck in between two dressers and was hanging upside down. Without hesitation his older brother calmed him enough for us to help him get out. The poor cat was so terrified that he was screeching in horror every time we attempted to move him so his brother calmed him so we could get him out safely and no one was harmed.

I have trouble walking up hills. My dog on our walks started to pull me so I wasn’t struggling so much. Now he helps me every time. I love him dearly- he used to take great care of our aging Bassett hound. He’s wonderful and I’ll probably not find another one like him. He’s a red bone hound dog.

WOW! The cat nudges the little girl to safety on the bed keeping her from falling. The elephant keeps the woman from getting to far in the fast moving river. Both the cat and the elephant do their nudging with precisely timed maneuvers that delicately move the humans in such a way as to avoid loosing control of the human, In other words they didn't just make contact and push the human, they did their movements the ONLY way they should have to succeed.

my dog once protected me from a pitbull attack when i was on a walk. i got bit a couple of times on my foot bc i kicked the pitbull. the owner came out of his house, *yes he had the dog outside unattended* , and said, "OoHh ShE iS oNlY a YeAr OlD sHe JuSt WaNtEd To PlAyY." i have two german shepherds and they both got attacked by that pitbull, different days though. i love pitbulls but they need to be trained correctly. my dogs showed no aggression towards it until she attacked them. i tackled the pitbull once bc she pinned my dog to the ground and got bit multiple times but it was worth saving my dog ❤️

My bull mastiff saved me when I was 4 years old. A stray Rottweiler came onto our property when I was on my tire swing. Start biting my back and legs. After about 6 long seconds of screaming and crying My dog Schultz came out of the cut and literally demolished this dog. He was leaking from his nose after the fight but he definitely got the best of him enough time for me to run away and my uncle fame outside and picked up the stray dog and threw him like 10 feet. He squealed then ran away. I love family dogs they're so loyal and my childhood dog saved my life. I'm 31 and remember like it was yesterday.

My german sheperd puppy protected me after a mean street dog tried to bite me. My puppy won, but did lose it's life afterwards due to the injuries. I will always miss him.
