    • @@annadean387 i care about things. I’ve also been listening to her for years longer than most people even knew about her. I’ve been a fan for a long time. However, I’m disappointed in her live performances. She doesn’t have the range she attempts to sing. She doesn’t do Justice to songs that aren’t her style. Those are the reasons she became as successful as she did...because she was doing something all her own and unique. I really enjoy those performances and the opposite when she tries to display a range she doesn’t have or cover songs that don’t suit her at all. I feel Like she does those things because of ego or the wrong people feeding that, But either way that’s what it comes down to. I am just as entitled to my Opinion and I’m not going to praise everything she does when I can still be objective because I Don’t fawn over celebrity.

      @burlykim132@burlykim1323 жыл бұрын
    • @Burklykim13 ! Your comment is the one that made me question about my opinions. Her music felt like challenging the borders for me. More specifically, I thought she is reckless (in a imaginative way) of her ideas and tried to draw something, itself that complements her particles of thoughts. It's just my ideas, and your description matches the questions I had about her. Comments shows that a lot of people relate to Lana, and I've also loved her songs since I were in my own hard time. She were wild and kind, and I could- sort of identify myself with her. I want to ask a question for you; How do you think about her? (I am not an native, so forgive me if I sound unpolite. XOXO)

  • In the last clip, I just get incredibly sad, apparently, her record company didn't like her experimenting with her voice so much which is why you don't hear as many different tones, highs and lows, etc in her newer (still beautiful) music, as you do in her older music. It annoys me how much record companies have control over their artists. She loves singing the blues, but if you compare her eras you'll find music where she is almost singing at the same tone throughout the whole song for a whole album of blues, she still pulls it off however I find it so sad in comparison to songs like off to the races, lolita and diet mountain dew where you hear her constantly ever-changing voice as if you're on a journey with her. We all need blue music as I'm sure we all relate and sometimes want to relax and feel through sad music to be able to comfort ourselves, but a whole album? The worst thing they could've told such a unique woman like Lana, is to stop experimenting with her voice and unfortunately they told her that.

  • People are so use to this super edited pop vocal style...they don't know what someone with unique and raw vocals sound like, so when they hear it they think it's 'bad' because it's just different. Over-editing of vocals in the music industry is a crying shame. Hearing raw, true performances are such a treasure even if a performance isn't technically perfect.

    • Yeah you’re goddamn right it’s raw, she’s going to need surgery after she ruptures her vocal chords. There are plenty of fantastic famous singers that actually SING.

  • No everyone understands Lana's music. Her voice is unique and her songs are written by herself. She is different and not commercial. She does not like to sing in front of big audience, she always said that. She will never sell over 200 millions CDs, but for those who understands her music, her voice, her songs, she is the ONLY one and number 1.
