Oilers lose 5-4 in game two - Luke Gazdic, Mike Tanier - The Nielson Show - 04-25-24

Dustin Nielson is back from vacation and has much to discuss with Lt. Eric!
Holloway scored two goals in the Oilers game in their 5-4 OT loss.
During the show they dive into the night that was in sports, highlighting the big moments in the NHL and the NBA playoffs.
The NFL Draft is today, so the boys also have Mike Tanier on the show!

To start the show, Dusty recaps his trip to San Diego and how that went. After that, the boys talk a bit about the Oilers' loss before laying out the show.

Lt. Eric and Dusty then dive into 'The Morning After Show' for E.M. Utility Locating!
During the segment, we hear the voice of Stuart Skinner and what coach Kris Knoblauch had to say after the loss.

Dusty wraps up the hour talking about the moment he knew the Oilers were taking the series.
Luke Gazdic joins the show as the 'Pro Am Sports Big Guest of the Day' to talk about the loss. He talks about a team getting four goals and how a team should get the win if they're able to put up a four spot. He shares what he thinks of Stuart Skinner and how long his leash is. Gazdic highlights the amazing playing of Adrian Kempe against the Oilers before shifting to talk about Dylan Holloway and how he fits in the lineup with his recent game. Gazdic shares that he thinks Janmark and Holloway both look great and that Holloway is fighting up the lineup. He does say that even though he adds a scoring option on the fourth line to maybe bump him up to the top line and bring down Foegele. Gaz then talks about Nurse during the OT winner from Kempe. He wraps up his Oilers talk by stating that high scoring games are only in the Oilers favour and can outscore the Kings.
After Gaz leaves the boys talk about lineups, involving Corey Perry and his play in last night's game.
Dustin and Eric also talk about goaltending and what Skinner and the rest of the crew have to do to win Game 3.

NFL Analyst Mike Tanier stops by to talk about the upcoming NFL Draft! He talks about how the Buffalo Bills need a move draft to build for the Superbowl. Tanier says they need confidence and they're coming into the draft needing a CB and WR. Do they trade up? How do they approach the draft? After that he highlights the possibility of the Vikings moving up to pick a QB. Tanier says that the Broncos and Raiders might move up as well. He then gives his view on the QB's outside of the top three, describing it as a 'mixed bag' with the possibility of them succeeding at the NFL level. After that, he moves onto Brock Bowers where he thinks that he'll be picked before pick 10. Tanier describes some movement that might happen with teams moving up or down in the draft.
