Yes, she acted as though she was genuinely surprised! This was obviously staged and they all knew from the beginning that undercover Adele was among them. The whole conversation from the start is scripted and acted. But still very enjoyable!

I often come back to this. Not an Adele fan, but it's just such a nice experience for her fans, it brings tears to my eyes.
Best piece of telly in years, so warm.. Adele is an inspiration and a credit to all women, and her love songs are unifying. I am an 80 yr old git and when I sing my guitar versions of her songs I get an amazing warm response, because her songs are so .beautiful and compelling.
The Adele who figured it out first probably has pretty good ears. The eyes can be fooled but the ears for some reason seem harder to fool some people.

Well after she'd been going on about 'taking her time with the new album' I thought she was vile! Then when she was singing, I thought she was MIMING! You can tell of course, that pretty quick I realised...:-D She asked me if I'd realised who she was, and when I said no I just thought you were vile she laughed her head off LOL! She is a lovely person, and SO down to earth xx
