  • So the video is astronomically shorter than usual, thats on purpose. I feel like I overwhelm the average person with content so Im curious if you like videos being more rapid like this and shorter in length? Also just wanna see what this does to the channel. BUT if you want even MORE videos from me, you should go subscribe to my second channel! kzhead.info/sun/i5dtj7uLbGKZmoE/bejne.html

    • I like your longer form content in general (when I can't sleep I sometimes watch your 7-8 hour stuff to keep me company) but an hour is still pretty long and maybe shorter videos will give you more time to rest/relax/have a life outside youtube and avoid burnout. Having a longer video here and there would be cool but an hour is still a really nice amount of time.

  • I don't understand why everyone's worried about how long an episode is. Can people not just stop watching, and come back to it later? I get if it's harder for Skyes, and his editors. But as for people. I don't understand. I love when I do have the time. To sit and relax and watch a movie long episode. I'm happy either way though.

    • Same! I watch his videos when I get home from work and go to bed. His numbers probably show that I watch each episode like 4 times or more admittedly. I just find the last part I remember before falling asleep and keep going.

    • Definitely need to use veinminer instead of a tree only mod. Will speed up your collection of materials of all kinds. Hold the ~ key and break a block to mine any nearby blocks of the same type that touch the source block. I think MineColonies is fun for myself but it doesn't match your regular style of building your own bases. I think if you ever read up on the basics of it you'd make a style that many others would never have thought of. There *is* a fan made underwater city system for it so it could apply to the next playthrough.

    • I think combining is a great idea! Maybe you could call it something like "Raft Expanded". Oh, older versions, couldn't do Kelp on Soul Sand, but later ones you can. And, modwise, I have trouble keeping up with them, but the one you use for villagers would probably help you with time management (and getting glass). I also agree, no shaders for normal play, but you could sometimes use them to show off certain milestones or builds.

  • You actually can grow kelp on soul sand, but it won't have the elevator effect because there's a kelp growing on it lol. Also, if you try using that on an adjacent block it also won't work because the kelp will just get trapped on that one bubbling column and won't move sideways as you want, unless you find a way to give it that push.

The create mod is a nightmare though extremely fun to create things but it's an extreme grindy journey to get your projects to work. Mega respect to you Skyes I bet been a very painful road to get things to work with the mod aswell as grinding the materials for parts

  • great way to end this world and cant wait for the new adventure! love the glass maker, a few sudjestions for the next time, tunnels, funnels and shoots are your friend. for example on the current system if you were to place a filtered brass funnel at the end to only allow glass through the sand would sit there getting cooked untill done before moving through so rather than 6 lava you could of got away with just one lava fan combo. With the crushing wheels, place a shoot above and below with belts dropping into them to crush full stacks at a time to speed it up a little. brass for said items is made in a mixer with the wisk (if u look up brass in JEI and click the mixer tab as the top it will show how). as for extra mods if your using fabric, look for a copy of chipped to unlock all the vairents for all blocks and FramedBlocks adds frames in diffrent shapes from half and quarter blocks to doors, trap doors, slops and roofings, that you can add any blocks textrues too. ofc i could also recommend all the "better" mods, end, nether, f3 ect aswell as oceans delight, ecologics, and yungs mods aswell.

  • Its almost 3.45am in the UK where I am, and I couldn't sleep, so I decided to watch your 100 days part 3 video of this. Now Im currently watching this video in bed while giving my purring cuddly cat belly rubs, he meowed and started purring even harder when he saw the pic of your cat, it was super cute :) My cat Pan is an elderly rescue, he's deaf and has some issues with his front legs, so unfortunately he's an indoor cat and can't go outside for his safety, recommended by his vet. He's such an affectionate, warm and loving cat, iv only had him since August 2023, but I already love him so so much. He follows me around, like my literal shadow, always wants cuddles or belly rubs, pat's me for attention (we think he thinks I'm deaf too, so instead of meowing he pat's me lol it's super adorable), and he only ever meows when he's hungry or sees a cat. Pan also sleeps in my arms every night, and curls up on my pillows to sleep during the day, unless he's asleep next to me on the sofa or on the kitchen table (that I use as a desk lol). My family calls Pan my baby because he looks like a happy content baby / kitten in all the pictures and videos iv sent them, especially the ones where he's laying on his back in my arms, in bed, getting a cuddle and belly rubs lol. They also call him that because he sleeps peacefully for hours on end in my arms, but wakes up from the slightest movement / vibration if he's sleeping alone, much like my niece when she was a baby. Anyway the reason I'm commenting was to say Thank You for including the cat pic in this video, I really liked it and think your cat is very cute and fluffy. And Thank You from Pan too. Being an indoor cat he never gets to see other cats or be around them, so seeing a pic of your cat made him really happy. His reaction was the sweetest thing, and he seems to really enjoy watching your videos with me. Thank you for sharing the pic of your cat with us. And for making such awesome Minecraft videos. Your videos are always fun to watch, your commentary is hilarious, and there's always something in your videos that inspires me or encourages me to do something for my own world. Keep up the great work Skyes. You're awesome. Have a great day. Much Love - Paige and Pan, from the UK :)

  • Great episode! Looking forward to the merging. Sometimes the lengthy ones feel daunting, but I just pick away at them, hope it doesn’t mess with your numbers too much. I love shaders, but if you gotta build without them I get it, I’d really appreciate if you did a final exhibition of the builds with shaders on if so. Some things in create feel recursive for sure! I wish the recipes and hints were more elaborate for beginners. It took me forever to figure out andesite casings because the instructions only showed how to do it with machines and not that you can right click it. You’re more advanced than me in create, but I gotta point out a thing with the gears; your setup isn’t doing more than maybe stepping up the speed once. By interlacing just the tines of the cogs you are gearing up and down the same difference every time. For a faster system you need to… this will get wordy but I hope it makes sense…. From the water wheel shaft connect a small cog, on one of the corners connect a large cog to the tines of the small cog on the waterwheel. On that large cog you then connect a small cog to the shaft of the large cog. On a different axis than the original direction, connect a new large cog to the tines of the small cog. If you loop it back to the original shaft it won’t work. Think of a bicycle gear how they have the large and small gears connected on the same shaft and how that changes the speed of the rotation. Hope that helps! You’ll be able to make a fan that can blow you upwards several blocks 😸

I'm often working on several things at once at home and at work so your longer format videos are entertaining movies for my mind to enjoy rather than relying on the not so great movie format that comes out on platforms like Disney+/Netflix. • Combining them is a really good idea. It also gives you more room to make ANOTHER series if you wanted to that opposes them. Could make for more fun content. Also, use Complementary Shaders Reimagined, and edit the ocean color and lighting to better fit your needs. Play around with the shaders color grading and find what works for you, cause tbh a lot of youtubers do it and it helps A LOT with the lighting issues. Lastly, the shorter videos work fine for me. I usually put your videos on in the background cause your voice sounds a lot like my boyfriends, so its comforting to listen to you cause its like listening to him. So I dont really care how long the videos are lmao.

Just make underwater domes for all of your machines and we're good haha As for the shaders, I like complementary shaders better but you can find an other shader that don't mess with lighting and looks good on land and underwater. Definitely want to see you build this monster machine in the 1st episode! PS: I think you should name the combined series "Ocean World" or something like that so people don't confuse it with this Lost at Sea series and previous. Since the two worlds are so similar, i could understand you getting very bored of them. You are doing the same thing, making the same progress, in both. Merging them will make it much easier on you! • to turn off the mechanical bearing just right click with an empty hand...turn off, turn on, wax off, wax on...also the harvester automatically will replant wheat, carrots, potatoes, sweet berries, and beets....for sugar cane, bamboo, cactus and kelp i lifted the harvesters up 1 block off the ground...harvesters can also collect leaves from the trees, if they reach the leaves before the saw gets to the trunk

  • Skyes should add the ex nihlio mod to make resource grind less crazy and maybe construction wands so he can do more building in a day. As a weeb gotta say the only way to fix your jujitsu problem is to wait and binge it so it feels like a full episode. Lastly love your series. I would probably watch 1-3 hours for videos. Keep up the good work man you actually got me back I to mc recently! ❤

  • I really like the longer movies, I'm kind of lazy so the longer the video the longer I get to sit back and chillax haha.

  • You can use Funnels to take items directly off of Conveyor Belts. Additionally, if you have the fan blowing straight down the belt, you can get the same result as having multiple of them lined up. My suggestion would be having conveyors leading to a Depot, which halts the block there. Then, place a Brass Chute with a filter(right click the filter slot with the item you want it to allow through) that has a chest connected below it. Have the fan blowing on the depot, so it will keep the item in the depot until it is done being cooked/washed and then automatically pull it out.

  • I am happy with any length. Not going to sit here and lie I almost always fall asleep halfway through but its not because your boring! I love your videos and find you hilarous. I've found that certain youtubers calm me enough so that I can pass out with out overthinking. Also I always hop back and try to finish the viedos cause I really love your channel! So I'm not worried about legenth though I do prefer the longer ones because they give 3ish nights of rests where as I'll just watch this one in one sitting.
