  • MODS: I just noticed in my speed-run to be the 'lowest IQ Internet Interloper' I forgot to list the mods: MC version: Minecraft 1.12.2 (Forge) The main mods are: - Biomes O' Plenty - Bloodmoon - Doomlike Dungeons - Dynamic trees - Roguelike Dunegons - Scape and Run: Parasites - Spartan weaponry - Tinkers Construct I'll put the full curseforge modpack on my Patreon (for free)

      @oMuStiiA@oMuStiiA7 ай бұрын
    • @@oMuStiiA Yeah, I often do that with other dimension mods, though I always end up having to return to go mining. And if you think that the infection isn’t going on because the chunks aren’t loaded, think again! The parasites keep spreading in the spawn chunks which are always loaded (basic vanilla MC fact), so even if you live in another dimension, over time, trips to the Overworld will still become more and more dangerous.

  • One update I would make to that mod, is make it so lesser infected mobs still have their original weaknesses, until the greater parasites start turning up. So Endermen for example would still be hurt by water, I think that would help to balance it out a bit.

    • Well the Construct mod adds many different armors and the hammer in the construct mod that was used for this video makes a 3x3 hole when you dig with it. I have seen others play this mod selection and you are mostly on the correct track of surviving the hordes of parasites. Look into the mods you might be gatting into cause some might be more stupidly broken in power than you might never imagine. From what little I have played in the modded worlds they can be quite a grind but is still fun. Plus with the construct mod you added the clever sword is slow but very mighty plus you can behead things with it. On top of it all just be a bit of yourself but make a general list of most needed to least needed when trying to survive in apocalypse type of game modes. Trust me when it came to that mod. the armor might be worth looking into before next go with it.

  • So. In case. The things you killed in the big spider infestation above ya in the water. Those are unfinished assimilations. They exist when the target was killed before it got enough COFH levels (which is how they turn) if I recall right. The BIG spiders you saw in the first 15 day's are actually just the normal spiders but assimilated. So not to bad yet. Mobs stop dropping their loot at a certain point which i believe is stage 3 if they are infected with COFH. Which they always will. Can also be stage 2. These cysts are leftovers from the bigger parasite (since you probably had primitive ones roaming for a while) that broke a lot of blocks in one go so they dropped a cyst that eats these blocks for more points for their evolution stage. The first few parasites. The few you got in the start aren't primitive. Those fleshy one's that hit you during a spider clearing before you made your house are "unfinished" and need to find others to become something. The villager, Spider and zombie like ones are "Assimilated". They are still easy to take down. Once enough kills. They merge into a "primitive". A new but still somewhat weak (can still murder ya easily) but no way to adapt. Once these get enough blood on their hands or...tentacles. They turn into "adapted" which will adapt to damage. I also like to say. The parasite mod truly starts when stage 2 is hit. day 35 is your first primitve. Yea the enderman can sometimes just vanish. Most probably reason. He went a lot further away and got in despawn range and...despawned. Happened to me too quite often. Stage 2 also has the chance of parasites being "Disguised" as the normal mob. Also on lures. The first few lure's aren't useful. However if you manage to kill 2 adapted early on you can actively kill their points back to stage 0 and if you happen to have an assimilated enderman around you can also clear the majority of the parasites actively turning it to 0. Day 40. You found an adapted big weird man. Reason why you couldn't hit it. Is because it adapted to the arrow. So yes. Fire. Fire is the way. Day 45. Cave found. An adapted/primitve probably had the dream of a miner and got out (most likely one of the 2 you saw during the night at 40) Day 47. Nether. Nether is untouched until a SINGULAR parasite gets in. So the nether is safe from them until that happens. Same for the end. Day 57. Sorry to break it to ya but adapted break those fine crafted bricks like paper. Day 65. That is actually a primitve flyer. Adapted are a lot thicker. Adapted don't die in a single arrow+fire+high power combo. Day 70. You found one of the adapted one's. CLOAKERS. They aren't fun one's if you didn't notice them. Last day's. You did very well still.

  • A tip with tinkers: you can sometimes (depends on pack) keep enchantments by putting a weapon or tool into your crafting grid alone, to turn it into the tinkers variant. this is where the 'sometimes' comes in; sometimes it will keep the enchantments sometimes it wont. Tip for detecting infected animals: if you harm them and they run at you, they're infected (a punch will work)

    @niaford690@niaford6906 ай бұрын
  • So just so you know tinker's is the mod that made the blue and yellow ore spawn on the nether and you need some preparation on your tools to mine it (they are better than diamond tho). Furthermore, I'm not sure which version you have but later versions of tinker's construct also has armors you can make. Lastly, tinker's construct does have a limit on how many levels of enchantments a weapon can have but it will increase with mastery and with certain items. If you are confused about tinker's construct or you want to find out new enchantments it does have a book in-game you can make that explains all of these things. TLDR Tinker's construct can have armor, ore in nether is from that mod, and you can read about enchantments and more from in-game book.

Chances are those 2 cows were normal and one got infected. The 2nd is a lure effect which basically? Makes parasites more aware of your position: This is also contagious.

  • Its crazy how SRP 100 days is impossible without some sort of change to the config. Also I'm pretty sure I saw an adapted Arachnia come out of the woods when he was trying to put diamonds in the forge at 24:19, I wonder how he survived that?

    @endosaurus1404@endosaurus14048 ай бұрын
    • 100 days is fairly easy via default config. I made it to day 173 before dying to an adapted reeker granted I was very cautious when attacking things and hid underground down to bedrock for the remaining 1/3 of it since my surface base got overrun one phase 3 hit. The only real challenge is endermen spawning everything, mostly everything else can be avoided with ease Basically the best way to survive is to play cautiously and only fight when you need to from what I've seen most players want to just go in and kill everything in sight.

    • @@riclate2013 Yeah when dealing with these things you really have to be extremely cautious and creative with avoiding them, such as trapping adapted with a bunch of cobweb. Its really easy to get jumped by an enderman in the open so KZheadrs tend to either nerf them or just remove them. The same could be said with adapted and beyond but not as much. There is a channel known as the Troubled boys who have been trying to do 100 Days hardcore legit for months now and they haven't been able to get past day 30. They're latest run they beat the enderdragon relatively early and built an obsidian base in the ocean. They died because one of them happened to be alone when like 5 endermen showed up amd they were low on food.

    • @@endosaurus1404 I've been watching troubled boys, been checking out their livestreams too, they mostly have the added bonus of an additional player and the hardcore revive system. Even modeled my own bases off of some of the stuff they did, only difference is I used different mods like tinkerers construct and actual additions and draconic evolution for the late game.

    • @@endosaurus1404 Honest. The Sim Endermans as I call them are a honest good reality check in it. Sure you can avoid. But they serve to me as "You can avoid us but not forever" and are a good point to keep yourself vigilant. Keep an eye on your surroundings. Spot them either by sight or sound to be ready as the later one's...I hope the endermans trained you well. Since it might save you to hear them running to you.

  • Sneve, for better entertainments, you can use books in the enchantment table if you have two protection one books and an anvil you can combine them to make protection two. This way you can easily level up your armor and or tools without needing a level three enchantment table. And two protection one books cost less levels to get than a protection two enchantment to get on tools. You can combine every enchantment of the same class. Flame one + flame one= flame two. So on and so forth. Also in order for crops to grow fast you must stay within a 20-30 block radius. Hope this helps. Like to sneve sees.

  • Some things about the Parasites: 1 - Phase 0-1 Rupters will not attack you. That one you encountered in the beginning didn't spot you, unless you configured the phase to be 0, 1, or otherwise. 2 - Parasites generally speaking are faster in water than they are on land, scarily enough. They have lunges that let them catch up with you in water. 3 - Devourer. I'm shocked you never encountered one. but uh, water is not safe. 4 - Parasites deal massively increased damage to your armor, especially projectile shooting ones. If you were facing zombies or spiders as your only threat, your armor wouldn't decrease nearly as much. However, parasite hits deal like, 14 points of durability damage to your armor and even more to shields. Watch out for the big tentacle ones, those will melt your shield as they pull you into them.
