As someone who had tickets bought there, and was supposed to go on a concert there in a week, I thank God for being able to avoid this. It is a horrible incident, and I grieve and pray for all those who lost their lives or relatives. Edit: as the connotation of my message seems to have been overlooked, I will state this explicitly. The world is a dangerous place, especially nowadays with all the situations happening, not just in Russia. We are very lucky to be alive, but we should make sure to acknowledge how lucky we are, and know that every day is valuable and important. This, as horrible as it was, made me realize just how much I should be thankful for being here, and how horrible and devastating death can be. I recommend everyone do the same and truly appreciate what you have, even if it isn’t much.

@OlyaJan I haven't been to a rock concert for a long while, but in theatres I never see any armed guards. Perhaps ballet or opera lovers are not expected to be rowdy. There are some guards at the doors who check that you have nothing dangerous with you, but they don't look armed. And after the checking point there is no guards at all.
