The director of Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB), Alexander Bortnikov, said on Tuesday that the US, UK, and Ukraine were behind the Moscow concert hall attack that killed at least 139 people on Friday - despite repeated claims of responsibility by Islamic State. Russian president has also insisted on alleged Ukrainian involvement. No proof has been provided for these claims...Then why is Russia insisting that there was a Western hand behind those attacks?

What Doctorow said was that she was fired because the terrorist attack , that was planned for BEFORE the Russian election, failed, due to high security at the chosen venue. That was US/UK (Nuland) planned. The actual attack, at the Crocus building, occurred AFTER the Russian election - thus losing its planned significance. Security was very low. US/UK wanted to cancel that one, apparently. No point to it (or no significant point) but Kiev went ahead with it.

On paper he seems quite well qualified as a specialist in Russian affairs and history, which is why I don’t completely trust him, because given what he must know about the background and history of all concerned, he is leaning too far towards the Kremlin narrative and their attempt at intimidation to be an honest player.
