Scammers have lived in my friends computer for the past thirteen years.... I can't begin to understand the hundreds of thousands of he has given them over the years. He stopped telling me about it. He has even got mad at me for taking the scammers numbers away from him! He really needs help.
I work in IT in the United States, and some of our best technology partners are in India. Most Indians find this practice utterly shameful, and the elderly and disadvantaged in India are also victims of these people. Now that this practice has come to light, more and more are assisting in getting these call centers shut down. This change is because of the work channels like Scammer Payback are doing!
There are scammers in every country, so it would be stupid of people to judge an entire country and it's people based on a few bad apples that exist everywhere unfortunally

are you worried that the scammers would just pay whoever they can in order to have the charges dropped? i mean, they do transfer and handle hundreds of thousands if not millions-billions of dollars... for a struggling cop or something thats certainly easily enough to look the other way, even for a few thousand dollars

I was scammed before and I felt like if Im dumb enough to let it happen then it cost me that much money to learn a great lesson....A fool and his money will soon part.
I recently commented on one of your videos that I was scammed for over $600k and asked for help. Someone, most likely NOT you, replied offering to help and asked for money. He/she asked to communicate by telegram with the handle as SCAMMER PAYBACK. If that was not you then there is an evil, cunning and despicable excuse for a human being out there to scam the scammed. So good people.........PLEASE be AWARE and ALERT at all times. Thank you for your work.....much appreciated

For 24 hours maybe, as in all the other cases when they “arrest” for show to avoid more criticism about their corrupted police force.
Only the mule in the states. This wouldn't happen in India. The entire police force and probably even India's government likely get paid by these scammers. They aren't going to arrest them.

@@WhoShortsVids might have been a different scam deal, Ive had it where this scam number called me every day early af in the morning, like 5 am, every day for like three weeks. quick search of the number showed it was a bank scam trying to get your bank info and voice recognition. Some times its alot more in depth than some guy in india meeting quota for his pimp daddy

Had a scammer call me yesterday in Melbourne, Australia. Told him thanks for the call, I now have his I.P. address, location & business name…& that I’d be sending it to Perogi. I wish I had of recorded the conversation cause the abuse was hilarious! He was not happy!

Brings me back to my teen years during the time my mom was continuously getting scammed...She wouldn't listen to anyone and we ended up homeless for over a year due to having no money for the mortgage. It makes me extremely happy to see these pack asses get exposed and thrown into a cell.

@@ARedMotorcycle She was 68 years old at the time and was recently robbed by her EX. He had access to her bank acc, so he took the money and fled the country. For almost 2 years after that, she fell for AT LEAST 5 or more different loan scams with one out of those being a UNICEF impersonate who scammed her by offering to buy her a new house and a car. As of now, I'm not sure of her living conditions, but when I managed to get out on my own a couple years ago, she had fallen for a couple more loan scams and was(probably still is) living in her van. I feel horrible not being able to help her out, but the last few times I sent her a good amount of money, she had just thrown it away....I just don't know what to do or how to stop her from giving her disability check away.

Me and my wife have been watching your show. We think it’s amazing what you do. Three years ago my wife got a call saying that they had my daughter they ran her all over town doing wire transfers to Mexico. They stole 6700 from us. My wife said with the AI it sounded so real that it was our daughter so we appreciate what you do for other people. It would be great if you could find some of the random/kidnapping scammers.

You could have avoided all that if you had a safe word. it's so basic and effective. please get one immediately so that you and your fall never fall victim to that. a safe word is a only you and your daughter know and can use in case of emergency.
My grandparents were almost got by this sort of scam, they told them one of my siblings was being held hostage. One of my cousins was there with them at the time, and she intervened.
I have a safe word for both my boys so if they try this and the word isn’t said we know it’s a scam
What if one day they say “check if the amount is correct”. Then you say it is all correct when it’s clearly not and than thank him for his help, to see how they react

I just had it out with a scammer on the phone. I used the name Scammer Payback, and he freaked out and started spewing all sorts of colorful words. Which, of course I enjoyed and returned even more colorful words. 🤪

I was hit by one of these scams and caught the thief as he was trying to commit identity theft. I'm so tired of these idiots who don't go do something better with their lives. These scammers go after young ones too. One hooked me in my 20s and stole nearly $3000, could have been more. You and your colleagues are heroes for chasing after these heartless criminals. This sort of awareness needs to be spread across all banks where they have to inquire and make sure the person withdrawing isn't falling for such scams
I've been in a bank where they tried so very hard to prevent a person from getting their money taken, but they had to give the person their money because they insisted, LOUDLY.
Yeah, it's kind of hard on the bank employee to deny a customer their own money. It's one thing to deny the customer money that isn't their's but to deny a customer money that they do own is quite difficult. If the customer is stuck in their ways and insist, there's nothing more you can do. The most you can do is have the authorities come and try to persuade them.
Wells Fargo has no such protections. They are happy to let scammers steal customer money, and then Wells Fargo stiffs the customer.
That’s exactly what I was thinking. Should be a question a teller asks everytime you want to withdraw like over 2k. Just ask were you instructed to go to your bank and give a phony excuse why you need the money? Is someone waiting on your phone that you left in your car? I mean ask anything because an elderly person will more than likely be forthcoming because they don’t want to lose their savings.
I’m a bank teller and there are questions we ask. But we’re told to not be forceful when askin. Instead asking more casually Like “Oh got any plans?” Ie just trying to not make it seem like your prying There has been a few instances however where I was able to protect a customer from potential scams

But you of all know that the feeling of seeing some backyard hub going dark only to re-appear a couple of days somewhere else. Seeing them brought to justice is a huge satisfaction. Sadly I think that is what is going to happen. They will find a new money mule and keep going. This wasn't a scammer being arrested, just a money mule in the US. Don't get me wrong, it is great to have money mules arrested and have the scammer operation disrupted. But it would be better to have the scammer themselves arrested.

@@juandenz2008 I personally think it would be better to arrest both the mules and the scammers. If there are less mules on the street, It would be a bit harder for a scammer. And if there are less scammers, then there would be a less of a chance for someone to be a mule. If that makes sense
A little FYI for the responses: A money mule IS a scammer. They know in advance what they are doing and choose to do what they do anyway. They know it is stolen money. They may not be the "closer", but they are actively participating in the theft of money from innocent civilians by accepting and sending the stolen cash to the scammers which initiated the theft. If a person assists a murderer in their crime, they too are charged with the murder. Same applies to a bank robbery. Same applies to theft on any level.

I had actually been threatened with arrest by a scammer if i did not pay them. I told them, "ok, im at this location. Ill wait for authorities." Our conversation shortly concluded after his threat

Thank you so much for what you do. My mom was scammed and was arrested and jailed because of the scammed on Facebook. There was at least 3 people in the scammer ring. He told her that he loved her and wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. Everything he told her and said made me want to beat the heck out of him.

I work at Walmart at customer service and I had a customer that was paid on Friday and she was scammed by Sunday of 1,000. She got two gift cards each for 500 one was used and the other one was put on lock. I felt so bad for her. Every time I see an older person get gift cards I always ask if its for them or someone else. I think I have saved about 5 people from being scammed.

I got a pretty convincing scam email today so I came to watch what you’ve been up to. The email I got was to check my Amazon account for recent purchases and a verify button. Of course I did not use the email link and went to my Amazon account on my phone and saw there was nothing wrong. Keep up the good work! People like this make me sick.
Right? You can think “oh I’ll never get scammed” but they can be sneaky. I was selling something on Facebook marketplace and fell for it the first time, not completely. They sent an email that looked like it was from Zelle, saying I didn’t have a business account and needed to be sent like $400 extra to get the transfer. I had never used Zelle at that point but when they started talking about sending the extra $400 and I should send them back $400 extra. At that point I realized and called them scammer trash then reported them. But I eventually gave up on the item but I had so. many. scammers messaging me. If you’re ever on Facebook marketplace, watch out for people who want your email and to send you money without seeing the item in person (they say they want you to ship the item or can’t come over right now). I also had a few message me for my Venmo so I sent it to them, knowing they’d also ask for my email. Then they would and I’d say you don’t need an email for Venmo. Those scammers either do the same thing like the email with Zelle but Venmo, or they trick people into getting into their Venmo account and send themselves a bunch of money

We hear numerous scammers boast that IF ever arrested, they will be out in hours or days. And they are. One has to live in another zone to not know this poorly kept 'secret'.

I know you are low-key being an a__ about it but I hate to agree with you but you're right.. I know this will sound a little racist and I'm sorry to those I may offend but I tell people all the time that if they get a strange call from a company that they don't recognize or a company that says you ordered things that you never did and as soon as you hear an India Indian Accent or an African Accent just hang up the phone immediately.. No talking Just hang it up!!
@@kenrickeason Sorry if that sounded mean or hateful. I've got old parents, I told them to forward any inquiries to me before doing anything. Here we have mean extorsions where they have a boy or girl call crying and telling them they have to pay a ransom.

Thank You for doing that for them.. my mother and step-father was Scammed years ago and I told them before it happened Scammers be calling to scam people out of money so don't give out your information like that.. They still got Scammed cause the Scammer was too convincing as being an Amazon Rep while at the time they both did have Amazon Accounts but not anymore cause of that incident that left them scared.. They lost $1500.00 in Amazon Gift Cards.. Now my mistake was I didn't go into deep details on what to look for in a scam and how to avoid them and I am the blame for no warning more.. Your way is the perfect way cause any usually calls will be forwarded to you automatically cause you know what is what.. Thank You again for saving your parents from thieves..

a scammer tried to scam my mom, thanks to these videos we were able to figure out the plot of the scammer. Thanks for thee videos pierogi! They helped us!
Seeing them count that $9,300 was horrible. It’s just sad to see how real these scams are. Glad there are some good guys trying to stop it. Wish I could do more myself.

is it helping bringing in ore scammers or is it stopping anything if he was exposing the people that could stop it, then i would think he was not in it for the money.. this can be stopped, in my country we have 1% of what they have in the states of this kind of crime.. banks, cops, goverments, and internet providers is allowing this to happen, while they tell everyone they are safe they are doing pretty much nothing to stop it.. expose those people in the right way and this will all stop.. somehow some banks still have nazi gold and right now banks are crashing because they have gambling peoples money away.. that would be a good place to start, they need new rules anyway.

Just don't answer them is the best way to stop it, your number is in call lists apparently so adding it to the do not call registry is useless, eventually the number gets marked as no good and they stop calling it. If it's a number you don't know google it first.

I have a lot of doctors etc that call from unknown numbers so have to answer because some doctors call from blocked or anonymous numbers or just random local numbers. So I never know until I pick up whether it’s a scam or not. I don’t fall for the bs but it gets old. They never go away. I even installed Surfshark to try and protect myself more but they are relentless
