You won't Believe How I Restore a 30-YOld abandoned Nintendo ASMR(Dirtiest Game Console Restoration)
Here in @RestoFix
The STORY of this abandoned Nintendo (Clone version, IQ 502) console game 🎮, 🕹️:
The owner of this game console is a 41-year-old man. He told me that he and his three brothers used to play with this console all the time during their vacations and free time, nearly 30 years ago. 😊 The console had suffered minor damages many times, but their father always fixed them. 👨👦👦 However, one day, thick white smoke came out of the console and it stopped working. 😱 It seems that the reason for the fluff and fur inside the console was that it was usually placed on the carpet. 🐱 He gave me this console to see if I could refurbish & restore it and surprise his brothers in the upcoming holidays, and bring back their old memories. 🎁
In this video, first, the game console is super clean. Then the yellowed ABS is whitened again (retro whitening or retro brightening process), the burnt capacitor and burnt resistor of the electronic board is detected, soldered and repaired. Using epoxy resin, the broken part (the ABS plastic door of the game console) are repaired. Its rusty screws are revived and repaired. Screw hole bases that are broken get repaired. The damaged and rusted connectors of its video output port (RCA-connectors) have been repaired and soldered. Its broken power port is repaired then get polished. Its power supply has been repaired and restored. Finally, the old game console got polished and works fine after restoration. This electronic restoration is an ASMR video that I wish satisfy you as a satisfying video. I hope you gamers, electronics nerds, retro console fans, and electronics repairman enjoy this satisfactory video

reduce your workload with coffee machine cleaner - that stuff there are variants of this product which have many ingredients in it, which restores PCBs without the need to polish or sand anything just for you check it the hama one dont tell others and delete this post after, no need to brush the mud either that stuff will "eat" it away perfectly
All's perfect with one exception: the front sticker shouldn't be yellowed like that, it was originally grey. Kinda ruins the look of it.
Came for a loving Nintendo restoration. Received a loving Pretendo restoration. Was not disappointed.
And he gave me a lot of affection and love with his comment Thank you very much, I hope to see you in the channel in the future, dear friend💙
Yes, but if we refer to every gaming console as a Nintendo, it will become part of the common lexicon, and Nintendo will lose their trademark. I'm doing my part! Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go play Sonic 3 and Knuckles on my Nintendo.
Looking like a Grimtendo
This is not a rare Nintendo console, it is a clone of the Famicom
absolutely you are right dear Sakamoto , but unfortunately, Nintendo did not have a official agent in our area and a lot of other areas around the world, so clone versions (C versions) were the only hope for children of our generation. Somehow, this type of clone version was more rare and has high quality. Everywhere in media the original versions have been restored for those who had access to the original versions, but for the children who remember their entire childhood with these versions, there is very little videos. 🧡

@Sakamoto196 The best part is all the fake/bot comments on this video.
A note about reassembly with self-tapping screws. Don't just screw them in, turn them backwards a little bit until you feel the screw drop into the old thread, then turn forward. If done correctly the screw turns easily and doesn't make new threads and soon strip the thread out completely.
When I have a bad thread on ABS I put a drop of acetone in the hole and it a bit to soften. Once it's dry or mostly dry, I'll re-tap the hole. If it's other plastics.... What's a little chloroform between friends! (seriously plastic and CORRECT solvent welding can do wonders)

I don't usually watch videos like this, but this was incredibly satisfying to watch. I didn't think the circuit boards could be cleaned in that manner, especially the power supply. I've never seen such a deep cleaning of any electronic. I thought I was a patient person, but you have WAY more patience than I ever will and you know your stuff. God-like of a job! If I knew what you know when I was younger, I would have saved tons of electronics because people are constantly throwing away stuff all the time in my city. One time someone had a flood in their basement and all their consoles got soaked. Only one was still working after it dried. They ended up throwing the rest of the consoles away.
Dear Friend, "Many friends have left messages from the beginning of publication this video and most of the messages have been kind and motivating, but I can say that your message was something else and made me feel satisfied, Thank you dear friend."💙
You can use water on a board to clean if you wanted.. you just need to make sure ALL electricity in tge board is gone and it needs to be 150% dry before power goes through it. People put boards in dishwashers all the time.
Muito bom o seu comentário .
Imagine the money you could have made cleaning and restoring them
@@RestoFixhow did this get so dirty? It looks like it was used as a clothes dryer filter with cat hair? This was one of the best restores I have ever watched
Was never really an avid gamer, but I deeply admire and respect the time, effort, and attention to detail that you put forth into this restoration. Bravo Zulu, my man. Bravo Zulu.
Thank you very much BRO 💙💙
I cannot express how much I loved it. Made me think of my first ever console, which I keep here with all my love, but is not running anymore. It was an NES clone from Brasil, called Dynavision 3. I keep it in hope to one find find an amazing guy like you that could restore it to its full glory!
Wowww I loved your comment, It was a part of history Amon! it is my pleasure u liked it💙💛💚
@AmonVangrell sabia que eu ver um brasileiro aqui comentando sobre o Dynavision rsrsrs manda seu console pra manutenção, se não for o de um chip pode ter reparo.
At first I thought it was another fake restoration but it didn't take long to recognize you were going above and beyond what even a normal channel might do. Spectacular!
Thank you for watching 💛💙 I'm glad you enjoyed, and it would be my honor if you watch recently uploaded video😉
This video is perfectly viewable at 2x speed. Nice job not skipping anything and restoring the whole thing 100% 🏆🥇
I totally agree with you Bro, I personally prefer 2X speed but some people do not. we are at the Same Side😉🧡
That was SO satisfying to watch, a complete restoration not just someone scrubbing and retrobriting some plastic. Laughed out loud that you preserved all the dust bunnies in a tupperware with as much care as you took of not losing the screws
Thank you for your comment and for taking the time to watch the video, it's kind of an obsession💙😂
Odd tinkering is the best when it comes to this, but man. You are just on the same level. Please let us have more of this premium quality restoration videos.
Dear friend, your comment is very valuable for me and you gave me a special spirit to make my new video. thank you❤️❤️
Restoration Is always satisfying to see, but this was particularly impressive.👏
🧡 Good to Hear that
Be honest, did you add that 8 inch layer of dust for dramatic effect? I’ve seen some funky systems in my day, but that one looks like someone sent it back in time and told their great grandfather to make sure he passed it down to every son, and they all must go out of their way to avoid taking any care of it!
😂It surprised me too bro💙, it was kept almost outdoer i can say, it's weird condition was the reasonI preferd to start my channel with this rather than a well-known and common console that everyone knows.
Sadly these creators feel the necessity to fake content these days to compete... This is highly likely no different. It's amazing how the device was outside for so long that the body screws rusted yet the controllers didn't... That "outside dust" could get inside, yet the screws inside seem to be resistant to rust. So, so many other flaws too.
I say yes
@@koopa2k Add 1 pound of dryer lint to a trash bag. Insert device to be restored, tumble in a dryer for 1 hour.
@@Landrew0not forgetting the customary bottle of vinegar/h2o2 to make them nice "definitely 20 year outside" rusty screws.

@@RestoFixit's an amazing out come, you did a great job 👏
The only part I really question is the polishing but that's only because I assume this famiclone had a matte finish like most 90s consoles originally. Regardless, the time, effort and care put into this is frankly incredible.
@@FezTheSpaceBiker i tried to do my best for polishing and checked it periodically to achieve the same brightness and texture as it's production date. it wasn't a blind polishing, thanks for the comment 💙💙
The depth of love shown for a clone console is truly amazing, thanks for sharing some of your childhood!

Was looking for this. I've never seen dust so packed in an electronic device, makes no sense. And the color wool looks like cloth remains from the drier machine

This is in fact a rare console, and was only distributed to some countries that didn't have access to the "Nintendo" or "Famicom" at the time, alot were destroyed, that's what makes this rare, probably more so than the actual Nintendo! It looks like someone dumped a shop vac dirt on it
🤣🤣it surprised me too Bro. This is what happens to the game console when it is constantly placed on the carpet. Due to the fur and fluff that gets stuck in the console, the heating of the console increases, and if you pay attention, the solders of the power sockets loosen due to this heat, and as a result, the power part sparks and the final damage occours due to the interruptions and rapid connections of the electricity .Of course, the other dirt was due to being in storage for 30 years and the damage of liquid leaking into it.🧡
Sure, it was.
That board traces, solder joints and connections were so shiny to start with. Not a single rust spot. The time necessary for that amount of dust to build up is not short, and dust holds moisture. And these NES clones are also made until this day. Fake restoration(?)
No, Dear Getermoura it is not fake, I have worked on this console for more than a month to make this video, Hope you join us in channel and track upcoming videos and judge in the future, I give you the right to be a little suspicious because of the large number of fake videos in the media, but join us on the channel and be sure that no one can lie to people for a long time. If I make a fake video, the channel will lose its credibility after a while.🧡
@getermoura I have actually restored equipment and I've cleaned some absolutely trashed machines that have experienced everything from floods to housefires... and this video is as fake, and even the same setup as all the other fake restoration channels... to the letter. They just go way overboard and it's a dead giveaway. This guy literally dumped the contents of a vacuum cleaner bag into the inside of this console... smeared the outside with mud... and then proceeds to take it apart to "restore" it. literally 1 video and 2 shorts and somehow has almost 3k bots... er...subscribers? yeah. welp... i guess my coming here has told the algorithm to promote it more. Blyat!! the cycle continues!!!
BUSTED!!!!😂😂😂😂 it's pretty obvious tbf just from the thumbnail,
And how would there be such large dust bunnies throughout the inside of a console with no fans or intake for air? There are just heat vents! Not to mention how loose all the particulates look and how it's evenly coated on the outside panels. Usually when something is rusted or gunked up it's because of the position it was in, and you can tell that position based on what side of the object is the cleanest...this console has been breaded with dust like something being prepared for deep frying. Your console would have to constantly be moving to collect that much crap on all sides. Honestly, I'd be more interested in how you faked it on top of the cleaning procedure but I suppose you have to stick to your story.
It's weird that there is a lack of people pointing out the dirt is fake. The new PS1 video is literally flocking all over the case that just rinses off. I know no one would watch a restoration of a perfectly clean new looking console but knowing the dirt is added makes this so cringe. the other 99% is good work so I can't see why you would ruin it for the thumbnail 🤦♂
Even if it's not a Nintendo console... I don't think I ever watched such a detailed and accurate cleaning - chapeau! 😯
Thank u bro💙💙
Would love to see more content like this. Your very good at restoring! Keep up the good work!
Thank you Cyrus, I hope have you in my channel for next videos too 💙
Bud i hope your Genuine and not a faker like in alot of other restore channels! The debris thats inside the consol ports and mud and stuff dont match up! Also how would the external screws be rusted but the internal screws not have any corrosive material especially with all of the other debris inside of the console?
it is not Fake Bro, This device was stored in a dry and dusty place for 22 years. Maybe the floor where it was stored was a little damp at some point or the air around it, I'm not even sure about that.. To be honest, the screws were loose and I had the screws tightened to show the opening again to provide a full video. In addition, if you look at the height of the board from the bottom of the device, you will see that it is relatively high. However, the ports were rusted from moisture, so I removed the rust. And its internal cartridge board was also damaged by moisture, which I fixed. Thank U for the comment Bro💙 All the story was it
incredible, the time, the products, the know-how, you are a chef. Such careful work and for a clone. Congratulations
Thank you very much! Your comment was so encouraging and warm. Hope have you in the channel for the upcoming Video too.

It was impressive how you kept the rusty screws and the AV ports. I would've used new ones, but the attention you put into details is amazing. One question though, what is the purpose of quenching the screws in the oil? Amazing work, thanks for the video!
In terms of time and cost, it is more economical to replace them, but in terms of the challenge of using all the parts of the console itself, I tried to restore everything that can be restored. I did oil conching for several reasons. I just cleaned the screws with a steel brush. For this reason, there are still very small and invisible places of rust and it is necessary to block those places, which are also blocked using this method. In addition, it gives a matte and seamless look for a long time. The use of oil also creates a very thin layer of oil on the surface and pores of the screw, which also prevents it from rusting again.💙💙
I am blown away by what you did to this console. You’re a true master at restoration.
I'm glad to hear such kind words Thank U 💙💙💙

Dude, this is awesome seeing how it's cleaned up like this!
💙💙
He put quite a lot of detail and effort in it; I was 😮 nicely done man!
Glad you liked it💙💙💙💙
That's an amazing story. Really well done. Totally appreciate how much effort went into this and your patience must be gargantuan.
Thank you so much for your kind message💙
Well, it seems that the one thing that was missing would be to print a label for that game cartridge and glue it on. Impressive restoration of a classic Famiclone console.
yes you are right, but It was my first video and I keep improvement, thanks for comment and time you spent to watch the video 💙
Your channel is amazing! Keep up your work and i KNOW you are gonna be a big youtuber in the future!!

That goal at the end makes this restoration work that much more worth it and the feeling of that goal is palpable even to remote corners of the earth! 🎉 Excellent work! Very satisfyingly wonderful!
Thank you so much Bro💙
@@RestoFix I'm a bro? 😅 aha! Ok
Sorry, since most of the viewers of my channel are men, I answered you like this, I didn't check your profile😅😅😅@@katjastefanithomassen2465
@@RestoFix it's ok really 😊 it's an honor I guess 😅😊 anywho, love the work 😉👍
Hi, I liked all the video. Thanks for making it. Stay safe to you and your loved ones.
It's my honor u liked it ❤️
Always lovely to see a Dendy style Famiclone being brought back into service. The reset-based multicart was pretty neat, though I am curious if there was anything on the on blob built-in cartridge as well...
Thank u for the comment, 4 games were inside and repeated a lot💙
Your work is a true art. I just liked and subscribed and I'm loving it. Regards
Thank you so much 😀💙
8:50 mixing glass cleaner and bleach...? doesnt that make mustard gas lmao
It is ammonia free 💙
Then say that! Not "glass cleaner" with no mention of it being ammonia free and title the section "how to clean" there are a lot of people who will just follow along and put regular Windex in because people are stupid and you are advertising it as a tutorial with that title! @@RestoFix
Thanks for a great video. I'm interested in learning how to do this type of repair work, do you have a list of the tools you used and possibly a recommendation of what kind of basic tools to pick up to get started thanks.
Thank u for watching, I prepare a list soon

Excelente video.
This was awesome to watch; thanks for posting this!
Glad you enjoyed it!💙
Now that is a deep clean! Great restoration, loved it!
Thank u Jaapio for the time u allocated watching the video I hope have u in the channel for the next videos too💙💙
