How to Taper Table Legs on a Jointer

In this video, I show how to use a jointer to create repeatable tapers on table legs. It might be intimidating at first, but it's easy to set up and doesn't require any special jigs.

Used this process to make 28 inch legs with a twenty inch taper and it worked like a top. Can’t go much longer than that a the jointer bed was a restriction. Also the fourth side is a bit trick as you working with a tapered edge up against the fence just used the straight 8 inches as a guide not sure if it would have made a difference if I would have forced the taper up against the fence. Also did the whole line marking on the fence and then set up a stop Thanks for doing this video it was a big help
