  • The thing about the best dark comedians is that they have something Ari seems to lack: empathy. Bill Hicks, George Carlin, Richard Pryor - they all used dark jokes as a means to demonstrate that they cared for people.     • This is semantics, but that isn't necessarily what makes someone a coward. It makes him a bully. Mike Tyson won plenty of fights against people who he knew he would destroy. You can only judge a coward by how they react to an actual threat, like Floyd Mayweather avoiding any real competition for his entire career.     • They've all had chances to hold him accountable and choose not to. That should tell you that it's not actually as serious as you, who doesn't know ANY of the people involved and has probably never done these drugs, thinks it is. It's called making content. None of them cared. They made a big deal out of it FOR THE VIEWS. Use your brain. Did you consider, even for a second, that every single person involved is a paid liar? That's all a comedian is.   • Comedians should be able to say whatever they want. All you have to do is be funny about it. But most of these 'comedians' forget about the second part

    • @@tuelzalt Exactly. Like on one hand there are unfunny people mad, on the other is actually bigoted people hiding when called out. I forget the show that was too hot for tv. But you arent actually telling jokes when you dress up like a stereotype, you're just an asshole. At least embrace it, know who you are. Dont be a coward and hide when people give you back, what you give to everyone else

    • Even if they're not funny that's fine, but they just won't have an audience or they'll have an audience of the worst people you ever met. The same way a comedian should be able to say whatever he wants, a person should be able to say "I'll hire you but I don't like your jokes about XYZ"
