Anyone who helps an elderly neighbor deserves an automatic thumbs up 👍!
God bless you brothrr
Lots do
Amen absolutely ❤😊
Especially if they've fallen and they can't get up!
It makes for a good guy video. If it's on KZhead it must be true😂😂😂😂
Doing this for your elderly neighbor, I'd give you 10 thumbs up if I could. Awesome act of kindness!
Nicely put!
That's actually a good suggestion. My neighbor has done so much for me, the best I can do is buff his head light... Uh, well you know what I mean!
@@RSchannel777 It does feel good to give back!!!
What a nice suggestion!
Just wondering why everyone is assuming his neighbor is elderly? Y'all do know he could very well be as young as him, and just willing to help him create this video.. Just saying it's hilarious how many people just assumed his neighbor is elderly and he's so awesome for doing this video and cleaning his headlights, I'm lmao!! What a wonderful neighbor you are!!♥️God bless you!
Hey man, it's great to see a real nice guy helping an 80 year old senior citizen! Thank you for your very simple and informative video! God bless you brother!

Yeah man... U r one good neighbor.
Can I be your neighbor?
Isn't that the truth. :(
I’ll find a neighbor to do a good deed for just like you did. Nice, classy! Keep up the great work as an awesome neighbor
Awesome tip! You just saved me the cost of a new headlight and an NCT re-test (that's the annual road safety test in Ireland). Thank you
I appreciate you helping a senior out... I wish there were more people like you.. God bless..
When your dad is in his 90's, neighbors like you Josh are greatly appreciated by his family.
My dad’s 94. Mom passed less than 2 months ago. Couldn’t leave with only a thumbs up. 💜💜💜
@@cookielady1111 Sorry to hear about your mom. My condolences. I hope she went in peace and did not suffer.

They should outlaw the plastic lens covers and go back to glass. Glass NEVER turned on you.
Should be a class action suit against the car companies. As for the other reply, I think my cars engine can handle the stress of the added 3 or 4 pounds glass would add.
It breaks if you can’t drive and run into things.
The weight and dangers of sharp glass, caused our government to get involved and screw everything up..only thing dangerous is our government. Keeping us free one more law at a time.👎😡
But you can't make pretty headlights in all these funky shapes with glass
Says no one except you.
Thank you!!! Can’t wait to do my headlights! So kind of you to help your neighbour.
Old lady here!! I owned a antique shop. I would get old Bakelite (100yr old plastic) appliances, mostly tabletop radios. They would be oxidized with a white film. I would use "Mothers Mag", you gear heads, muscle car enthusiasts remember this. It was used to polish chrome wheel mags. A very fine abrasive. It revived the color and shine. Same concept.
The world needs more good neighbours like you to help the elderly. God bless and great info!
Thanks for being positive! Some folks in the comments have been pretty down right rude...it works awesome! I'm glad someone showed me!
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer You are far too optimistic, upbeat, and helpful to worry about the rude grunts. You made my day with this!! My old Honda looks just like your neighbors car, so i'll be trying out your lesson soon!

I have used rubbing compound too with great results. It does work. Great video and thanks for helping out your elderly neighbor.
Thank you so much for the video. I am also 80'ish and this is so much easier than going through several other processes before cleaning the headlights. I once had a car to trade in and the dealer docked me on headlights that were cloudy! So, this is wonderful to have a one stop process.
I use some leftover (old) chrome polish in a can. In 2 years, do it again. No big deal, no fancy 5 minute video which got 4.4M views in 3 years. Gee Whiz.
@cliffontheroad Then why would you click on a link to the video? I typically don't click on tutorial videos about things I know how to do, but if I do, and watch it fully and then complain about the length of the video, well that sounds like a "you" problem. The great thing about KZhead is that we are free to stop watching a video at any time or post our own. But how many views are totally dependent upon who decides to watch it, and how popular a channel is probably contributes to the algorithm of order it shows up in the list.
@@PaulineAH people are just dumb that’s all. This video is simple and yes I’m sure it’s temporary but it’s good enough for me.
You're a stand up guy for helping your neighbor thanks for the tip

THIS IS THE BEST ONE YET. THANK YOU. NICE OF YOU TO HELP YOUR ELDERS.
Did all of mine today in under 30 minutes for 3 vehicles. I did an extra step of sealing them with Maguire's product. It worked!!!!
Wish u were my neighbor. How kind and sweet to help this older gentleman🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍
I'm 70 and I definitely could use your help! THANKS for the info. I'm gonna do it!
That's so great helping out an elderly neighbor! We should all look out for our neighbors, it really has a positive domino affect.
amen!
I tried it and it does work with just a rag. The discoloration can't be really really bad or you will need many applications or an orbital polisher to get more layers off, but it will work. Great tip, I have shared with several others that also got great results easily.
It looks fantastic and it was great of you to help an elderly person out. A definite thumbs up to you!
What a blessing you are to your neighbor...wish I had a neighbor like you!
Hey Josh, Thank you for the tip. I tried it on my old 1995 Ford F150. I thought it was beyond redemption. I did not have any 3M but I did have Meguires. Worked like a charm. Thanks again for the tip.

Awesome vid, Thank you. It's the best thing when products Actually do exactly what they're suppose to do.
Always good to help a neighbor, especially the elderly! One thing I would suggest is to always record your interactions with the elderly and encourage them to share their memories on video. Not only are they not going to be here much longer, but they have priceless knowledge and experience to share! CHEERS!
i did this 5 months ago and it worked, saved me from buying new headlights or expensive brighter bulbs that wear out much faster!
Man, wish I had seen this one about 2 years ago. Got suckered into one of those multistep/multichemical kits to do the lenses on my old car. It sorta worked, they were better but not great like this. Nice job helping out.

So glad I found your channel. I was just going to hire a guy to clean my headlights. He was charging a $100. I thought that was too much, and thought I’d check KZhead first! So glad I did! You are AMAZING YOU did the best video tutorial on how to clean - restore headlights👍👍👍👏👏👏
Thanks! I'm hoping it actually works! You give great informational and descriptive videos. Kudos 👌🏼
You are a good fella, not only helping us, KZheadrs, how to do it right, but your elderly neighbor as well. What a noble Gentleman you are. Great video, it worked for me. Thanks.
The elderly neighbor shouldn’t be driving at night . I’m semi old 78 and I hate driving at night .
Thank you very much for your car headlight tips. I'm running to O'Reilly's for the compound fluid right now! Thanks again.
The foam glass cleaner@Wal-Mart works& its probably cheaper😁
I hope this isn't what I tried before if it is it takes a lot of elbow grease 💪💪💪💪💪
Just dont but the Turtle Wax lenses cleaner with a 5 step process, it even comes with light sanding paper. It sucks big time, no difference at all even when using a buffer.
This was a great video, need to buy me some of that stuff to make my moms car lights better for her when she drives . The Turtle Wax 6 step crap with sand paper sucks . I'm going on Twitter and letting them know how I really fell . Lol The lubricant spray on the turtle wax brand was just water, and the other spray oil, and sand paper pads, what a damn rip off, the kit was almost 40$
Just need 91% rubbing alcohol. Much cheaper.
Been looking for a solution for this forever, THANKS!!
Thanks for sharing your idea and tips. This is great way to keep car head light shine 👍
I never heard of this channel but this video was awesome you seem like a very friendly dude and I subscribed I’ll check out more of your stuff 👍🏼
I love these kinds of fixes simply because you get results. Nothing is more frustrating than rubbing and scrubbing with no visible improvements. I did try this and was very pleased, thanks so much!
Updates ?
How long does this last?
@@Star-iw1kr Still looks good!
@@CharlesNolanArt That's awesome you reported back. A lot of these quick fixes for foggy headlights only work for a few weeks.
No results whatsoever.
This is great ! I was going to buy a kit to do this with but your video showed that is not even needed. Thanks !
I'd just like to make some constructive criticism. The compound won't soak into the plastic, it contains a very fine grit, similar to soft scrub cleaner for bathrooms. This grit essentially sands the oxidized layer of plastic off as well as lightly polishing the layer that becomes exposed. Also as a correction, THIS IS NOT PERMANENT. From the factory a layer of UV protection is applied to the surface reducing the time that the sun and elements breakdown the plastic. The process shown in this video will eventually and more rapidly allow for the oxidation to return (depending on the weather in your area). If you'd like for it to last longer, you can purchase a uv protectant spray from your local auto parts store that will add a bit more protection and longevity to the restored plastic. Otherwise this is 100% temporary even with the spray
Does it make a huge difference if you wet sand them first with p500 p800 p3000?
@@LuisRodriguez-fd4sy Just saw Chris Fix do this on his channel.
@@LuisRodriguez-fd4sy I they're in really bad shape, wet sand with 800 / 1000/ 1500/ 2000 paper. Rubbing compound is far too fine fix bad lenses. It's for restoring the shine after sanding.
bet your a joy at parties
