    • For me? I think ?? They have that perfect match in the music and many people out there don't realize ? That Lady Gaga studied in the field of classical jazz or standards . This genre of music ? Fits her so perfect... And Bennett ? Well that man has of course been around even since I was a Bambino back in the Bronx and Yonkers listening on Sundays to Bennett ? And all the greats back then. Sinatra, Martin Bennett Jerry Vale etc. I hope to one day see Lady Gaga perform either if im vacationing back in the city? Or ? Vegas. Gaga ? Is terrific indeed. Ciao

Not just stay in box and doing a same music category for a whole life. Haters will gonna hate her no matter what she did. But a real little monster will continue to love her and give a full support to her in any time..

    • Really? All of her pop albums are deeply reflective of who she is. She's been so soulful on all of them. Even dance tunes like Lovegame and Just Dance convey her personality so vividly. They all have deeper meanings or at least are about having fun. None of her work is as shallow as people think. She's even had some soulful ballads such as "Brown Eyes," "Speechless," "Dope," and "Gypsy," Other songs she's had that really possess some emotional introspection are "Marry the Night,"," "You and I," "The Edge of Glory," "Paparazzi," "Bad Romance," and almost all of Artpop. This woman is beyond just a ditzy pop star like so many people, including critics, have mislabeled her.

This crusty old Berklee grad, who listens to mostly classical and jazz, is a HUGE fan. And as a bonus, it seems that Gaga is also an amazing human being.

  • This ol native Bronx guy here? Has enjoyed over the decades the great Italian American jazz singers since I was a bambino listening on the Sunday family gatherings in My late Grandparents place in Yonkers . The greats like Sinatra ... Dino , Of course Bennett as well and Jerry Vale and a few others. But listen here . To me ? Lady Gaga's voice in these great standards in jazz? Are for me? Beyond words. For this Italian guy? The first time I heard Lady Gaga sing with Tony? I was hooked to put it? Mildly . In close here? I hope one day before I pass ? I will get the honors to see ? And hear the incredible voice of Lady Gage in person and? Perhaps be lucky to meet and shake hands with yet? Another great Native New Yorker who has graced so many with great music. Molto Bene Bella Gaga. Bellissima So if I may? This old Italian guy loves Lady Gaga and how incredible she sings . Ciao ! 😊👍

    • +Kody Marley Dang, I didn't know that happened to her! I'm not a fan of hers by any means, but I hate for that to happen to _anyone_, and that makes the original comment make that much more sense. I came here because I have a class project where I have to put on paper and spreadsheet how I would spend $20K on a recording studio, and jazz is my music of choice so I came here to take note of equipment I would need for such a setting. If she was coupled up with Tony Bennett, then chances were promising I would enjoy the song. ...and +toad g, even if she has not behaved like a lady, no one has *_any_* business violating her, especially anyone she works with and depends on!

  • This is why Lady Gaga is better than any other artist out there. She's got talent and she's got an amazing voice. She knows how to dance, perform, wear interesting outfits, she writes her own music, she produces her own music.

  • Lady Gaga reminds me of Christina Aguilera. The diversity in their voices are impeccable. The fact that they could sing and sound good in so many different genres says something. Lady Gaga has such a unique jazz voice and you can hear it in all her songs. Christina's voice is very rock. I wish they could do like a ballad or even a pop song together. Not like the DWYW remix but like something they both wrote together.

  • The haters are gonna hate and criticize her career -- but I think this is a significant point in her career. She is transforming from a pop star, to a musical icon. Every musician grows, and this is her growing into something larger. Musicians should never fear expanding their musical resume.

  • Just love it how haters r trying to troll on every single video Gaga released and calling her a flop when the fact that ARTPOP and Cheek to Cheek are #1 on Billboard. They talk about nothing but sales and charts when they really don't matter. Plus, jazz CANNOT be compared to pop music. They are very different from each other. Jazz is a difficult genre to master. For Gaga to have this album go #1, THAT is sheer talent. I hope she wins a Grammy with Tony Bennett. If they don't, I'm gonna lose complete faith in humanity.

  • A song from 1947 -- one of the two best collaborations by Johnny Burke & Jimmy Van Heusen. (Five years later, they would give the world their beloved “Here's That Rainy Day.”) Siriusly Sinatra satellite radio just played Lady Gaga's BUT BEAUTIFUL duet with Tony Bennett: dare I say, my “new favorite version”! First offering at KZhead -- this one: A delightful 'live' in studio recording (nearing 5 million “views”) which features some brilliant jazz musicians with a string arrangement that could only have been by Jorge Calandrelli who has worked with Tony on a dozen previous recordings. I'm a guitarist and that's one of my jazz heroes, Gray Sargent, who has been with Tony longer than almost any other musician in his almost seven-decade career. Love his tone-setting opening notes on this beauty. Thanks for sharing Lady Gaga. Celebrated this night at Sinatra Family - Forum - "Siriusly Sinatra" - MY FAVORITE VERSION, YOURS TOO? sinatrafamily.com/forum/showthread.php/50225-My-Favorite-Version-%28yours-too-%29?p=1288962#post1288962

Even if it takes months or a year apart, I always find a reason to listen to their duets again. I am truly grateful for it and the feelings it induces. The songs are like my wonderland where I can revisit. I love them for this. Rest in Peace Tony.
