    • He wasn't, he just won anyway. He says himself (and there's lots of footage of him) he was drinking most nights in the lead up to the fight, going out to clubs, smoking weed. He also missed weight which doesn't happen if you're actually taking the fight 100% seriously. He showed up in not great condition and won anyway. He knows Haney from the amateurs, they fought 6 times, he knew exactly what he needed to do to win and he did it.

  • Remember the size difference in Haney’s last fight against Loma. He was just a weight bully all the time, thats it.

    @orestshepetyuk5362@orestshepetyuk536228 күн бұрын
    • I was rooting for Loma but honestly everyone at 135 walks around 160. No male professional athlete who is 5'7 or 5'8 is 135 pounds. It is just that Loma is not a 135 pounder and is at his limit. Teo, Garcia, Haney are all about 155 - 160 if not cutting. It is part of the sport. These early weigh ins make it even worse but it Haney is fairly standard built for 135. Benavidez for example is much bigger than most at 168.

      @billmurphy3510@billmurphy351028 күн бұрын
    • That wasn't Haney's last fight and also you can't use that because that wasn't Lomas natural weight class either he's always been a smaller man at that weight. And regardless of Haney's weight he's still never carried power so really that was a slightly drained Haney against a puffed up loma

    @nck2055@nck205528 күн бұрын
    • I don't think he gave the illusion of that, I think that was somewhat real, he genuinely was going out drinking, doing coke, and smoking weed all the time in the lead up to the fight. There's loads of footage of him out in clubs during the weeks leading up to the fight looking fucked. He didn't take the fight 100% seriously, he just won anyway. He's fought Haney 6 times as an amateur, he knows exactly what he needs to do to beat him, and he did it. He's so naturally talented and knows Haney so well that he was able to show up at WAY less than 100% and still beat him. Him winning doesn't mean everything that went on before was all an act, I'm sure he played up to it a lot, but he was definitely drinking and doing drugs loads in the lead up to the fight.
