ETH or the players are not to blame for a freak fluke lucky second goal or a corrupt ref and var penalty that happens every game were wining at the end of games, Chelsea Liverpool and Coventry just in the last week or so. Coincidence ….I don’t think so, none were penalties

how is it that after so many games, Rashford has not been performing to expectations, not wanting to apply pressure off the ball or track back or cross the ball to Hojlund and he still starts the game. He has been so selfish with the ball. United do not even know how to dominate a game to build some confidence. there is no creativity and we don't run to spaces to be available for a pass...every game is a heart attack!
You can't blame the TUS for rashford abuse.rashford has been poor since he got his huge contract and doesn't even run anymore. He's been crap this season. Should of come off ages ago. Don't blame certain channels. He deserves his criticism.
Sack the manager fine but right back here in 18 months if you don't move players on. Rashford, Shaw, Maguire , mctominay and on and on how many managers have they seen sacked? when will the club realise they're not good enough and never will be, mentally weak and lacking in quality .

Maguire and McT are maybe the most professional players in that dressing room right now. wtf are you on? Technical quality comes second- first and foremost, you need players who are ready to show up. And these two ABSOLUTELY do. I haven't seen anyone pulling as much weight as McT in the last 10 years of this fucking club. There's a reason Jose LOVED him. Maguire works his socks off every game- but, he's playing in a system that exposes his weaknesses more than it plays to his strength, which is definitely not his fault. If it was anyone else who had been stripped of captaincy and placed on the transfer list, I guarantee you that they'd be kicking back on the couch and collecting their remaining wages. Maguire is a peak professional, and it's high time United fans gave him the respect he deserves.

If things go bad, players their place in the starting 11 should be on the line, not the manager's job. Every manager has been left dangling after a bit of a headwind for not being Ferguson basically. That's not helping anyone but the media and the players who don't do their job. Ten Hag probably is already undermined too much, but the next manager that is only conditionally in charge will fail too.
Hi Sam, Really good discussion today. I'm curious, you seem to be in favour of keeping Ten Haag for next year once a proper structure is in place. However, you also point out he has a chaotic style and it's on purpose - he's choosing to play the way they have all year, and sticking to it despite the terrible results (I 100% agree with this second point). I'm not sure why he should stay if that's the case. His primary function is to play a style with the players he has to maximize the chance of winning, and he is failing miserably. A new structure, new players, or even fewer injuries, wouldn't overcome a bad approach. I liked him but I am now believe he needs to go. For me, switching his style and principles, and failing to organize the team properly or do the basics, are fatal flaws. Keep up the great analysis and discussions - this is the best United community!
I'm speechless after watching yesterdays game. Unbelievable! I'm not sure if we even deserve to be in the final. I hope ETH stays. Players need to be unloaded this summer.
I still say that ETH cannot change things in the game. As soon as managers change tactics and press us we can’t respond during the game. This is down to the coach and his tactics. Why oh why is Rashford continually picked ahead of Amad

The players are extremely unprofessional - To drop their heads, and concede 3 goals in 20min is beyond a joke. They need to be punished and better yet many of them sold.
You can't blame Ten Hag for that. You think he told them to run around like headless chickens, give the ball away and not defend the penalty area properly? I'd like to see how Guardiola would do with a midfielder at centre back, a right back at left back, a 19 year old at cdm, a 19 year old at right wing and an inexperienced striker in his first season as the only option up front.

Don’t let Villarreal be your lasting memory of David De Gea. He was player of the season 3 times for good reason. Remember him for some of the outstanding saves he made and making sure we didn’t finish mid table on more than one occasion.

If INEOS sacks ETH now, they will effectively be saying "we do not respect the managerial role- it is replaceable" to the players. And that is not a good prospect for ANY manager looking at our club.
Roy Keane should know better!! This was a great FA Cup tie. The cup has always provided drama and shown that the smaller teams can compete and often beat the teams from a higher division! Why not focus on Coventry’s wonderful come back , and United holding their nerve to win the penalty shootout! Great game all round.

The one time VAR actually saved us instead of hurt us! However, not sure how a toenail offside really gives the attacking player an advantage? That's the point of the rule is not to give an unfair advantage. The rule should be the same as with the ball, the whole of the body should have to be in offside position. Be fewer controversial decisions!

I don't think you can't say the substitutes were not errors. Mainoo is very good at resisting the press Eriksen is not. Anthony was poor when he came on. But that's on everyone including Ten Hag.
Before calling for EtH's sacking, it's important to remember that these players got Ole sacked when Ole tried to change the style to a high pressing system and he admitted the players couldn't do it and stopping running. So what did the board do after ole Was sacked? They appointed another manager that likes to play a high pressing system (even more so than Ole). The problem was that the board failed in getting in the players to fit that system and relying mostly on the players that go Ole sacked was only going to go one way for EtH (especially with so many injuries). With the proper DoF and getting in the players that can play a high pressing system (and players that have the right mentality and physical attributes), we'll see a big improvement. Until then nothing is going to change, it will contine to be a manager merry-go-round.
The players can play in a high press but simply don't want to do it. They are lazy and the midfield is way to slow. I'm curious who is going to be Casemiro's replacement because my dead grandfather runs quicker then him.

I also have a feeling that some of these senior players think if EtH is sacked, then a new manager will want to keep them, so they'll keep their massively inflated contract. I would be starting a left footed winger on the left for a start. Take your pick between Antony and Amad. Garnacho on the right. Make the pitch bigger in the final third and not smaller with this inverted winger nonsense that Ten Hag persists with. Honestly speaking, I am a die hard Manchester united fan but what I witness yesterday against a championship side, conventry city left me speechless and in a serious doubt of this crops of players and the coaching crew. How on earth would you be up by three goal lead, and within twenty minutes, it was another story entirely. I'm trying to understand what is really happening at the man united. While I don't mind if the problem is from the manager, players or the management, just fix what ever the problems maybe and give me some hope and many other united fans all over the world by playing a good football.
Players gotta go first! Medical team next! What is up with the injuries? Are players not taking care of themselves? Or are they intentionally sabotaging the manager to cover up their own lack of performance, in the hope of getting a fresh start with a new manager?
James at Mupiters has hinted at new manager for ages. They seem to have a Ineos leak / connection with accurate reports. I think EtH will go for crap tactics and the new ownership don’t want to sack a manger half way through next season - they would rather their own man they can give time to. We haven’t played well for a whole season which is the managers fault.
I think if we can get rid of players & get some replacements in then ETH will get the first 2 months of the new season to see improvements. If there is no improvements with new players then he will be gone.
Why assume SJR is seeking patience in relation to ETH? Anyone with experience working in corporate finance and venue capital will see his words differently. INEOS have radically overhauled the senior management at the club, why assume they will act differently with ETH?

We need to get rid of most of the players over the age of 26, by then, they are fully establish in their habits or tendencies. Young players ETH can mold or players that fully understand his way of football. You only have to look at Spurs when Poch came in and had the youngest squad in the league or Arteta at Arsenal got rid of old players for young and brought players that would understand or fit his style.

The defence league for Ten Hag will never get it! If you take what EtH is doing compared with other top managers, it's very easy to see that the gap is huge and he's failing miserably. No one can win football matches and challenge for the league without the football (control). Man City lead the average ball possession stats so far in the league: 1. City (65.9%) 2. Spurs (61.5%) 3. Brighton (61.3%) 4. Liverpool (61%) 5. Arsenal (59.5%). All these teams in the top 5 for possession stats play a different brand of football (Not tiki taka) but the fundamentals are the same, this confirms that If you want to be successful in modern football you need to be able to keep the ball. Manchester United are 10th (50.1%) by the way on the list behind Chelsea, Villa, Fulham and Newcastle. Sir Jim and Ineos will never accept that brand of football. This alone and the fact that we've lost more than 15 games in 1 season (Will probably be more by the end of the season) deserves a sack!

Erik Ten Hag is the right manager but joined at the wrong time. He needs to work within a proper structure and focus on rebuilding the team. In my opinion, he needs to leave, as the players seem beyond repair. There's no point in continuing with the project anymore. He should go somewhere else without facing attacks from the media and fans on a daily basis to build his project. Good luck, EtH. Good luck, Manchester United.

Antony should have shoved it deep inside his own ..., shaken a few hands and walked to the fan zone and begged for forgiveness, like the rest of the squad😮. What can ETH do about a complete freak lucky second goal and the usual cheating refs and var giving a ridiculous corrupt penalty that seems to happen every game we are winning in injury time ? I'm an Ajax man and watch last season every game of United. This season I watch the majority of them and some things I dont understand. Its seems that Ten Hag believes Casemiro to be the same style of player like Daley Blind is. Daley Blind is a player who gets better by playing alot of games so even if he is bad in the beginning you keep him in the team because he will dictate the game. WIth Casemiro I can see Ten Hag hopes he would reached his level of last season but he is just done. They guy cannot run anymore so he cannot play in midfield. Second is Bruno, How many times in the counter give bruno to quick the ball away and then the whole team need to get back defending. WHy is it that Bruno never get subbed off? even if he works hard and all sometimes just putting another player there could make the rest of the team play better. Its sad to see Mount a whole season injured because if he was fit he could outplay bruno if he reached his former levels. Bruno and Casemiro on midfield is 2 very slow players its hard to play high press with 2 slow midfielders.
