If You Can't Serve The VOLLEYBALL Over The Net, Watch This!

We need to talk about hand placement to make sure that we are serving the volleyball the right way! Whenever we talk about the overhand serve we never seem to talk about our hand placement. Hand placement is so important with the overhand serve, and we must make sure to have that ball-shaped hand and that appropriate range of motion. To serve a volleyball, first, stand behind the end line of the court. Next, toss the ball in the air with one hand while holding it with the other hand. As the ball reaches the peak of its toss, strike it
with your hand or arm to send it over the net. Make sure to keep your eye on the ball and follow through with your swing. A good serve should be aimed at the opponent's weak spots and have enough speed and spin to make it difficult to return. It takes practice to perfect your technique, but with time and effort, you can become a skilled volleyball server.

    • I love your channel! It got me through high school volleyball! I'm going into college and was wondering if you had any tips for college ball?   • When I learned how to overhand serve I accidentally learned how to float serve. So I can’t ever serve normally it’s a blessing and a curse xD

    • There are so many possible reasons - you might need to contact the ball at the highest point of your arm (which may involve tossing the ball higher or swinging earlier), increase your arm swing speed or lead more with your elbow to increase power instead of punting it with your hand
