FULL Season Winter Caribou Hunt | ALASKA 2023-2024

It all pays off in the end for our winter caribou hunting season here in Alaska. The journey took us through some of the state's rugged backcountry where we learned new terrain and witnessed incredible sights. We are thankful for the knowledge gained and the opportunity to harvest such a resilient animal that will provide us nutritious food for many months to come.
We appreciate you tagging along for our Alaskan adventure 😀
Thank you for watching and supporting our channel! 💙

How far you two have come, KZhead stars with hundreds of thousands of fans. I think we all love your videos because you are living your dream and sharing it with us.

    • It has to be done if you want to eat them! It reminds me of going to India and seeing the women picking up fresh cow dung with it all the way up to their elbows forming round pies to slap on the side of the house to dry for cooking fuel later! That's what you have to do without wood, and electricity, and bottled gas! I saw they would stack them in a circle up and up forming a beehive looking mound and when it was tall enough covering that with mud to dry to protect the dung cakes from the rainy season. They would cut a small opening to retrieve however many they needed to cook a meal! Just imagine the women from the Western societies having to do this to make dinner!? I laughed as I thought they would send the kids out saying honey grab two cakes for dinner tonight!

  • Another great video! Somebody is getting very good at capturing some spectacular views that show their love for the beauty of God's creations! I also enjoyed the compiling of several hunting excursions during the season, that showed that every hunt isn't successful, and that in hunting, perseverance is often needed. It also showed how quickly an uneventful hunt can turn into a success story! Way to stay with it, and I'm glad that Eric was able to connect with a solid shot on a nice caribou. I love the teamwork that you two have on getting things done, regardless if it's during hunting, cutting wood, cooking, or construction projects. You two work very well together, and that's one of the reasons I like your channel so well. God bless you two, and I'll be looking forward to your next video!

  • I stopped watching this video when you came upon the live Marten still trapped in a steel trap. I wish you had never shown that part of your trip. It brought back terrible memories as a teenager when I trapped a red fox (alive) with the first and last trap I ever set. Needless to say I had to dispense with the fox. Afterwards I received $45 for the fur but I could never trap or hunt again. I guess if it came down to survival then I could still hunt and fish but since that morning so long ago I want no part of it. My wife and I have enjoyed watching your videos of your Alaska journey for several years but this is one video I will never finish.

So cool to watch your editing, content and lengthier videos get refined and fine tuned. Very talented and hard working team you two make. So many of us live vicariously through you both! My Self Reliance, Outdoors boys, Kyles cabin, This off grid life, Carena Alexis (sp), Truck house life ( and a good handful of others ) inspire so many of us. Tried it myself in Michigans more remote upper peninsula but the wife and girls/families showed minimal interest in the long drive, adverse elements ( Bugs, mud, snow, no cell, remote living, outhouse, well water ) - and, well making the trips alone got lonely after a while. Soooooo look forward to your biweekly videos, please keep cranking them out,!!!!!
