Yes there is lag and its the game, the devs have optimised most of it so it should run better on low end computers, it was mostly due to the heat rays from what I've heard.

A lot of stuff has changed since this was recorded, I was playing as militia before it got removed, my best advice is to apply for their military group in the desc for the game and wait a couple days
