I got a bad drug test I never even heard of the drug. It ended up it was super super trace amounts. I honestly feel my sample was contaminated at the lab not on purpose. In my case the drug had absolutely no performance enhancing abilities. In fact, it would have hurt my performance. When things are being checked, down to millions, even billions there’s a possibility of contamination. I think the drug test should be changed to check for realistic levels. I don’t know what those are. The way my doctor put it I would’ve taken a medication to months earlierAnd a microscopic amount would have been in my system. In other words, I would’ve had to of stopped taking the medication two months earlier taken a tiny amount of it and somehow someway it was in my system. The second test showed nothing zero. In my case we get the test results. Back instantly from a local lab Initial test.

Because when the samples are submitted, they’re being checked for a variety of substances. Therefore, it takes a couple of days and aren’t able to be revealed by fight time.

I get the other fight not cutting all the weight is not fair because depending on the cut those last few pounds and make an extreme difference. Now they are going to test the B sample for Both day to ensure it's not a false positive. He was cleared for the other substance they saw traces of after further testing. He was never positive for that one anyway they said in the statement further testing is needed to confirm it. But folks don't read, or listen well.

Crazy that someone could just spike your drink or touch you with a topical cream and ultimately ruin your reputation and life. How do you even protect yourself? Sit in a room by yourself during the entire camp but then you reach in your fridge and that could also be contaminated. They need to test everyday like 90 days out from the fight or have a better testing protocol, although it would be expensive, they generate enough revenue to cover it.

Ref the Ryan Garcia fail stuff only point I'd make is that when you look at the high profile fails (Canelo for Clebuterol, Benn for Clomiphene), the difference between Garcia's fail and there fail is you have the mitigation that both Clenbuterol in Canelo's case and Clomiphene in Benn's case are both found in nature in food production and thus can be ingested inadvertently and if you have trace levels of those in your system you could argue it via things you've eaten (Clenbuterol - Beef / meat products, Clomiphene - Eggs and products with eggs as an ingredient), at which point you have to make a determination as to the likelihood of that ingestion (i.e. Clenbuterol ingestion in the USA / Canada / Mexico is reasonable mitigation as most meat produced in the America's is generated using Clenbuterol as part of the feed, the same excuse in the UK / Europe isn't reasonable as Clenbuterol is banned for use in food production in this part of the world, as such a UK based fighter would have to advise how they've managed to get hold of contaminated meat in this region when it isn't readily available or even allowed for sale in those territories), with inadvertent ingestion if that is being applied as mitigation the levels become important.
