Now waiting to see him on Georgia Public Television!!! As I sat here in my humble home in East Alabama, I see a program on GPT with a died red haired lady and bushy chinned man. It was a Christmas video and I’ll be damned if none other than our Michael was there!!! This KZhead will be a million... a billion times better than anything on the boobtube!!!
I just love that you all made a trailer to announce it like pros. Love the "real" sweat equity of taking on a chateau. Michael's voice is perfect, he's so good at that. Billy seems amazing at behind the camera, and Phil has a great head on his shoulders to make this work. What a channel this will be.

Wow more château porn. Just for what New Yorker needed! I have been locked in my studio apartment Since March 13th. I am in the television/movie industry. And on March 12 in the middle of filming something for Netflix they shut down the production and didn’t resume production until December 10. Yours Billy and Michaels and now Ryan‘s videos have become part of my routine. They have been a great escape from the New York City COVID-19 drama. It gave me the chance to escape to open fields and fantastic homes with people that enjoy what you’re doing. And a sobering realization of the amount of work that you and Billy have undertaken. I hope one day to actually see your homes in person if just from a distance. And don’t worry about broadcast television you have a KZhead tool to get your show out to the world. I feel for all city apartment dwellers, especially New Yorkers, during this pandemic! As well as industry friends (hello from Southern California). My younger brother had plans to move to NYC and work in the music side of things after his graduation from Berklee, but COVID had other plans! He’ll get there one day, and I can’t wait to visit and enjoy the city again when that time comes!

This looks great! We can't get that "other" DIY show in the states except for a few episodes hijacked by youtubers. Plus, the "other" DIY show always makes it sound like it's the end of the world if something doesn't happen right away....yikes. We have enough stress in our lives right now. Love all the chateau programs though and send you good vibes for your new endeavor. Now Billy can use that amazing camera. I hope we'll still get to see episodes of The Petherick's.
You can get the Chateau DIY in the states for free on Peacock TV (they have a Roku app if you have one). The original Chateau show just started being added to the HGTV on demand lineup.
Yep. Both the original and the DIY are available on the Peacock app without the paid subscription. Sometimes they have ads, other times they don't. I've watched the majority without ads. I think it's based on streaming volume. Meaning ads are shown during peak demand to maximize revenue. Watching stolen content on YT is supporting theft. These programs cost a lot of money to put together. Not only that they support a lot of jobs. If we allow the theft to continue these jobs may be lost as the revenue from selling them to networks is reduced to a point where it's no longer financially viable. Cheers!

Michael Petherick is the first chateau rescuer I found on KZhead and since I have subscribed to so many of the channels documenting the renovating of chateaux, and I'm so excited to see more. @@markkd Michael has commented before there were some issues with Angel and Dick. He worked for them for awhile I think.
Michael has said that after filming an entire season (which is a lot of unpaid work), Billy and him were told they wouldn’t be shown because they were too boring. That’s what prompted Michael to finally start his KZhead channel, which hit the algorithm big when Stephanie advertised it at the start of quarantine, which then increased Stephanie’s viewership tons. Honestly, them being told they were too boring is probably the best thing to happen since it catapulted them into personal success.
@@TravelStephanie Just to clarify, Michael’s KZhead gained mass following prior to Stephanie. In fact her subscribers grew after he first posted a trailer to his new channel and asking people to go follow Lalande at the start of spring. While she had been on KZhead already, her channel wasn’t particularly known. It was his idea that she do a KZhead series from the beginning when it took off. Michael was part of the original show and initially pitched the idea of chateau restoration as a series. The channel eventually decided they also wanted more than just Basmaignee, hence Lalande and other chateaux came on board for the channel series that was on tv.
This looks amazing can't wait to see the renovation's and meet the new owners of the beautiful chateaux can't get enough of these beautiful buildings. Well done guy's 😁♥️ x

Hi everyone.....sending greetings from Charleston, South Carolina. I've been following you all since the March lockdown, but for more than just the entertainment and escapism factors. I'm so excited to see this new channel begin, because, just before Covid hit, I had planned a three month trip to France to explore a permanent move there and scout real estate opportunities. I initially thought that would be a country home or even a townhome, but after watching all your adventures for the past several months....I have decided a chateau purchase might very well be in my future. So your new channel will no doubt contribute to my continuing education of chateau renovation and life in France. I am not unrealistic about what this entails. I restored a 100 year old house in my hometown of Nashville Tennessee not long ago that took me over 3 years, so I know how hard and complicated and expensive it is. Anyway, I hope to make it to France by late this Spring. I would be delighted to be a part of your project once I get there, both the search and the renovation aspects of the process. I had planned to document my journey from the beginning anyway. So, do let me know if you are interested in such a collaboration. Or if you could be a source of info and advice on how to begin this process. I will be doing lots of planning and research before I get there and I scour the French Real Estate sites regularly, so I won't get there unprepared. Completely excited about your new endeavor. My husband is less overwhelmed by the jobs we have to do in our old house. We have a mountain of them to do. Granted nowhere on the scale you are dealing with. Keeps it all in perspective.

SOOO excited to see this! Our family found our 'chateau' (a small barn) in France 30 years ago and we haven't looked back since. It's been lovingly developed into a home and now in the hands of the next generation. While we don't live there full time - we hope to one day.
