The problem that we faced is that the holes on the racing chair were in various places and that made it hard for us, as the hydraulic press could not fit them in most cases. This made it impossible to press efficiently and vertically the particular spot. Therefore, we decided to make a hydraulic tool that will do this task.

  • In the eighties I was part of the electrical team on pier 50 SF laying out power for a machine shop build. We laid rigid galvanized pipe of various sizes right on the floor according to a specific layout all strapped and anchored. After inspection by engineers, a concrete company formed and reinforced ,poured ,finished a beautiful 5 inch slab right over the top of our pipe with a smooth ramp on all sides so forklifts and pallet jacks could effortlessly move about . All stub ups were perfectly vertical and placed. We pulled our wire and completed hookups and here comes all the new machinery….. wow! This stuff was gorgeous and brand new. After install the safety lines were painted by professional painters. All the mills, lathes , presses and associated machinery were overwhelmingly perfect.. it lasted only 5 years due to company closing And it was eventually stripped and butchered and sold off. I learned that people in business have no soul and can’t appreciate such things…. The area was taken over by underwhelming pursuits. It was nice to be part of building someone’s dream shop. Unfortunately serving the shipping industry was a mistake due to cheap competition and unstable economics. The Make it Extreme guys remind me of passion and purpose with handmade quality so rare today and a tribute to the excellent machinist of days gone by. Today computers and operators do that work very well but it lacks something . Old school was cool but this is how it’s done today. I’m a boring old man telling one story out of many…….. let the old guy reminisce.

    • remember, if it wasnt for the old school... new school would never have happened!!! however, those who forget the old tried and true methods in favor of new methods, are lost when the new methods break !!!! lol

  • I would LOVE IT if you did a video on how you guys do threads on your lathe. There are so many of us that either our skills or our lathes prevent us from doing threads well. I don't even fully understand what to look for in a lathe that can do threads as nicely as yours seems to do.

Isso demostra conhecimento, talento e autonomia, onde você não vai precisar ficar pesquisando pra saber se existe ou não tal ferramenta que atenda a sua demanda de serviços. E o mais importante... CONSTRUIR e não destruir. Abraço aos caras do Make it Extreme.
