Classy guy. He's clearly gentle with them. He allows them to try things and only applies select submissions when he could have had a bunch before it. I feel like he's teaching them while he's rolling. So impressed.
@@CountfilmsTV what a cool experience. I’ll definitely look him up online.
Plz do!!!! You'll enjoy what you learn
Love seeing him compete. Like watching a deep sea octopus fuck something up in a tangle
You're impressed by the wrong stuff
its nice when guys that are really good are just there to break a sweat and try things out not to hurt people to make themselves feel like the big tough guy. They aren't common, but when you run into one they can really sour the bjj experience.

You’re totally right. He has a high fighters IQ & it is wizard like to see him flow with everyone. It was incredible to film
He moves like an inevitable force slowly making its way to whatever it wants. It's mesmerizing

Craig picked the training music during this stimmy tour so props to him🔥
I wrote all of those songs spanning decades and genre. So. Yeah. …
17:30-17:45 is a masterful display of the Danaher DS back attack system. Craig Jones controls the same-side arms, left on left, right on right. Pushes the top arm down, instantly transfers it to his left hand, threads his right leg through the arms, then switches his left foot over right to lock the arm in. Then at 17:45 he isolates the other guy's fingers in the smoothest handoff and stretches the arm. Goodnight Irene

We are building an archive of high level BJJ grapplers!!! Thanks for the support friend!!! We’ll keep em coming!!!!
I'm used to seeing masters at their craft pretty often, I'm a lucky guy. Watching this video I realized one thing. People at a high level know where to put all their focus, this leads to an emotionless face. One very complex thing to handle are emotions. They are only planning and reacting. They only focus on the essentials, and they have so many levels internalized.
Well said and thanks for sharing. That's an interesting thing to notice and it's appreciated. Watching high level grapplers roll with average students and some highish level, it's a recipe for Study Tapes 101. Cheers mate

I’m a wrestler and if I were younger I would be more into catch wrestling but damn that arm bar was sick. Damn that was nasty how he did that. These top Ju jitsu guys would probably be top wrestlers if they tried
You're totally right...when we filmed Nicky Rod's Seminar in Austin he taught the in between Wrestle-Jitsu they were lightly saying. The takedown game and wrestle up approach is a mix of Wrestling & BJJ. The sport is evolving in an interesting way presently. A lot of wrestler's get pretty good training BJJ
Who in the hell wears a mask when your rolling in BJJ or Wrestling lol 😆
A dickhead wears a mask when rolling

Props to the genius rolling with a matching mask. Stay safe bro
some interesting moments annotated (i'm just a novice and some of these may have names, but i can only describe their mechanics) 0:30 - Craig gets to a guillotine by rolling the opponent over him, turning upside down to grab it and then having them rotate into it as they try to recover and drive into him. 5:50 - everybody talks about Mighty Mouse tossing a guy and catching an armbar on the way down. But this is actually on a new level: kickflip him and catch the armbar. *pause at 7:50 - very interesting defense by the opponent, they convert what could've been a triangle into just a squeeze on their head by trapping the arm so it's all connected from Craig's right leg through their head, into Craig's right arm, into the opponent left arm, and into Craig's left leg. It can't get to the neck because of the way Craig's right arm is pressed against the face. 9:52 - Craig knows the opponent wants to drive forward while Craig's angled to their left. He gets the hook in the leg and doesn't allow them to land on top so the moment they land sideways he kicks out with the hooked leg to rotate over into top. 10:08 - having gained side control, Craig snaked his left hand under to grab a funky kimura, which actually works so long as he then maintains a certain position, since the tricep extension of his arm going down to twist the kimura is stronger than the arm's ability to resist the rotation. 11:10 - Craig repeatedly makes the opponent carry his whole weight on his arms til they mechanically fail due to the angle and weight, and then says "this guy's gotta do bench press!" 14:34 - Craig applies momentary pressure from the mount with his arm behind the opponent's head while noticing they want to escape to their left. he removes everything as though he had failed to set up a submission he had planned, and they immediately move toward their intention; he uses this asymettry of their upper body to rearrange his base and roll backward and away, yanking their neck toward him and taking the back. 17:11 - Craig doesn't take a RNC - i wonder if it's cause he's being chill or is there some reason why it doesn't work well to take one from there? 18:20 - Craig cover's the opponent's mouth as a joke, ahahhaha
The community loves timestamps. Thanks for sharing mate. We want to always inspire a sense of community so your efforts are appreciated
