My dad was also an American solider for 26 years and considering I am only 23 years old, I know first hand what soldiers who are serving and those families members who are left to carry on their lives, having little or no contact between them. My dad was deployed when I was born and didn't get to hold me til I was 6 months old, he missed me graduating school, also missed me going off to prom, and then going to college. I have so much respect for my dad, he gave up so much but at the same time taught me so much. So just to finish off a would like to say a big THANK YOU to those who are and have served xx
