White House rips Tucker Carlson for 'ridiculous' Biden interference claim ahead of Putin interview

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre blasted Tucker Carlson’s “ridiculous” claims about interference from the Biden administration ahead of his anticipated interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Carlson confirmed Tuesday afternoon that he will be interviewing Putin in Moscow - arguing in a view post on X that “Americans have a right to know” about the war being waged by the Kremlin in Ukraine.
“Almost three years ago, the Biden administration illegally spied on our text messages and then leaked their contents to their servants in the news media,” the former Fox News host claimed in his preview video.
“They did this in order to stop a Putin interview that we were planning. Last month, we’re pretty certain they did exactly the same thing once again. But this time, we came to Moscow anyway.”
Asked about Carlson’s claim during her regular briefing on Tuesday, Jean-Pierre at first said she would “absolutely not” comment on the interview or Carlson’s claims.

Edit: I've tried replying to a comment on here twice now but KZhead refuses to show it, along with about 8 other comments that its says are on this post but I can't see, so I'll try to explain my response to @SSJG2 here: The reason that she said "it's a ridiculous comment" instead of just saying no is because that gives her plausible deniability in the event that their interference is exposed and she is accused of lying to the press. If they weren't interfering then she could just say no, but she knows she's trapping herself in a lie by doing so. The same thing happened when the FBI was questioned about having personnel on the ground at J6, where the representative said "I can neither confirm nor deny that", once again because that gives plausible deniability but anyone with 2 brain cells can understand that if there weren't agents there, he would say that there werent.
