Because the GLA (Global Liberation Army) was in the base game of Zero Hour, I wanted to include the original units, as well as a selection of various GLA units from other mods. This is far from an exhaustive list (I have not played all the mods!), but rather, a list of units that I felt best represented the spirit of the GLA.
Mods included are :
- Shockwave (12 units)
- Rise of the Reds (11 units)
- Operation Firestorm (4 units)
- The End of Days (3 units)
- Contra (1 unit)
- Continue (1 unit)
Missed the scavenging upgrades to the scud launcher.
Really love it when you make a video of same faction's units in different mods. Nice job, mate.

I dont know in which mods each units came first.. I dont think its so important.

ROTR is easily the best mod and the only one that seems to seriously trying to stick to both the theme and the doctrine of the factions.
Why don't the naval mods give the GLA a pirate unit a la Somali pirates? Would it be as in-character as I think it is?

Weaknesses for all GLA Vehicles (Zero Hour) 1.Radar Van=Everything 2.Technical= tanks,air units,base defense 3.Toxin Tractor=tanks,air units,base defense 4.Quad Cannon=tanks,base defense 5.Scorpion Tank=infantry,air units 6.Marauder Tank=infantry,air units 7.Rocket Buggy=infantry,tanks,air units 8.Battle Bus=unknown 9.Bomb Truck=air units 10.Scud Launcher=air units
Battle bus is brutal unit, USA king raptors and China migs with napalm can easily take them out and GLA buggies can hit them from far away. Rocket men from any army can also damage them quite a bit. Other than that they are hard to kill.

I always felt like they were the weakest faction BUT I probably never used them correctly
GLA has always been my favorite faction.

Why GLA can get France aircraft?
Hi, there are quite a few units (specially in the mods) that seem like imported military material from other nations, like the Grad and Mi-17 (Russia) and the Mantis looks a lot like it comes from China. That fits nicely with the fact that most military tanks and planes used by modern arab nations is imported.

Limited ammo and fuel would add so much more strategy to the game. Imagine having to have return to base because you ran out of tank shells?
Thats the case for airplanes, they need to go back to base for ammo. For tanks I think it would make the game less fun, but thats just my opinion.
@@rf2fan255 yeah man, tanks would have about 60 rounds. A convoy of accompanying ammo and fuel trucks could also be new units to deploy, but it would pretty much be an entirely different game at that point
Having to secure supply routes like in a real war would definitely add another layer of strategy to the game. Its an interesting idea for sure. But as you say it would become an entirely new game, which is all about moving around the map rapidly and gaining as many resources as possible.
