It took an hour to get this scared rescue dog out of the car - so when she claimed this guy as her dad, he knew they were soulmates ❤️

He'd then start slowly licking my arm like that. Miss him lots but I'm so glad Chloe is in a loving home, she is too sweet.

  • I adopted a rescue who just wouldn't connect with anyone, driving away potential adopters. When I got to the shelter after a 3 hour drive,he just completely ignored me and paced up and down the hallway. I wasn't leaving without him so I waited patiently. At one point I got off the floor and sat in a chair to give him space. I guess he realized I wasn't going away like others had, and suddenly, after ignoring me for half an hour, he ran over and jumped in my lap! He had decided I was the right person. He and I are inseparable now, and he's very protective and possessive of me now, and I make sure he never has cause to regret his decision to adopt me! The change in him has been amazing, and the vet said whatever I'm doing to keep on doing it. Really, all I do is give him lots of love and spoil him rotten! The dog no one wanted has become a very happy, loving dog. I couldn't be happier!

  • Dogs are the best four legged friends 🥰. When they are in a loving home, you can have a really bad, frustrating day. When you come home, and they see you, tails wagging, and just want to jump on you and give you their love, all your days frustrations just fly away. They truly lift your spirits. Deep down, i think it's because we know that dogs can't do some of the things that give us humans joy, like driving your favorite car, taking a vacation where you want, eating so many types of food, going to a great concert or show, etc. They lead a relatively simple life, running in the park, going to the beach, playing with us. For them to give us so much joy even after they have experienced so much pain and suffering is truly heartwarming. Dogs Rule 😇

  • Love seeing this, really touches me. We adopted two boys from overseas; horrible stories, one was in a plastic bag on a construction site. They were frail and scared. We've had them a little over two years now. They both never leave our sight. One of them sticks to my leg while I eat or do anything. They became quite big and full of muscle and my daughter is only five and sometimes tries to hug them and grabs them around the neck and never once did they react, they just let her and so gentle. One of them sits by her bedroom and always guards her. In the morning when she gets up to watch TV they both lie near her and make sure she's OK. And every morning they somehow know when I wake up and run to the side of the bed to say hello and fight to get my attention. They are seriously the best and they appreciate so much. We can't imagine our life without them now.

  • It's beautiful to see a dog progress and move past its fear to find happiness. I had one pup that was afraid of everything (even a plastic bag blowing in the wind!). Now she is the bravest of the three. Another is a rescue and she was in a terrible physical and emotional state when we got her. Now she loves to play and loves cuddles. I think working from home is the best thing a dog can get since they don't have to put up with being alone for 8+ hours. Dogs are social creatures.

We changed his name so he starts over in life and I am hand feeding him whatever he will eat. I'm retired so I have the time. He already won't leave my side.

I had to put my mattress on the floor in those first MONTHS to get her to lay down beside me. I fed her by hand. She stayed in one spot for the first 12 hours. And in one room for the first 3 days. It was hard. It's been 3 years now. She and I are tight! She weighs almost 140 lbs now and I am as safe as I've ever been! lol She is still afraid of so many noises and still doesn't let others touch her. But she will approach people at the dog park. She loves to be off leash there. And she is never far from me. She is an awesome soul. Just like this dog here. They just need the right person.
