I was the human for a long-haired dachshund named Harley. I was his third owner. He loved this song by the revivalist. We would snuggle up and go to sleep at night. If he was ever nervous or upset when I played the revivalist version at muscle Shoals we would snuggle and sleep. I love Keith Urban and I found this song today. It is beautiful. HOLY SH_T! As a 66 yr old rock & roll gal who grew up with The Bee Gees and was absolutely certain no one, and I mean NO ONE, could sing a Bee Gees song better then they could. Especially a country singer! And DAMN…this guy just proved me wrong. I have never watched another performer put so much true, heartfelt emotion into a song in my life! My heart ached as I listened to him. Honestly, I’ve never been a fan of country music but thanks to the Voice-USA, I discovered Blake Shelton’s magnetic personality and decided to check out his music. I was hooked! I think Keith Urban may be my 2nd favorite country musician! As singer/songwriters, the Bee Gees are second to none, but many people aren’t aware of their massive contribution to music. Unlike most successful groups, their immense talent has spanned 4 decades, and they’ve released 29 hit songs in multiple genres (Rock & Roll, R&B, Soul, Disco, Pop, etc). They are the “3rd most successful band in Billboard charts history behind only the Beatles and the Supremes.” And not only did they write their own hits, they wrote hits for Frankie Valli, Dionne Warwick, Barbra Streisand, Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers, Olivia Newton-John, Diana Ross, Yvonne Elliman, Celine, Dion & Destiny’s Child to date. Shockingly, when Disco music lost its appeal, the Bee Gees bore the brunt of the new born hatred for that style of music and were subjected to relentless ridicule by the now Disco-hating public. The public is fickle and forgetful, and as a result of the Disco backlash The Bee Gees were “black listed” by the industry and music listeners, but they persevered and regained their much deserved popularity. But despite the Bee Gees’ unprecedented talent & incredibly unique versatility, it is only in the last decade or so that the group is truly being recognized for their gifts and their massive impact in our world. Sadly, we lost two of those three incredible men before they could enjoy the recognition they’d deserved for so long! But Barry Gibb IS here and still gifting us with The Bee Gees music!

The Supremes were second on that list? I find that hard to believe. Maybe for the time period of mid-sixties, but the Bee Gees released music for many many more years. I can't believe they didn't out sell the Supremes.

It is truly outstanding and he is a great talent. However, I don't think that most other tributes suffer in comparison. Some performers may be less talented but that doesn't mean that they don't put their heart and soul into their offerings.

My style is a mix of blues, roots, swing and country. Because I love Ry Cooder, Neil Young, all the old Blues dudes and Gospel as well and Leonard Cohen..Keith just found his slot and taught himself when he was very young. I agree that his talent is a bit wasted on country. But that's where he feels he fits.

@@scottventimiglia5861 no keep going because it's the person who just does the music that is useful. i only do simple songs and rythm but they still use me in the aged care now that i am not working. they bop along and dance etc for their happy hour. also i play for fun with a couple of friends nearly every sat avo. also another lady i know who doesn't play very well brings much enjoyment to a large group of singers at our library who also perform at aged care. it's the doing that counts. the commiting. it's a life. we have also used it in rehab and christmas at the hospital. and in disabilities. suggest you learn to sing a long if you even have a medium voice too so you can take it anywhere anytime. if you look at my youtube you will se i'm very average but i still get used. in my vids, that day i made 97$ Australian in an hour. keep going i encourage you.

Keith Urban is among the very small set of artists that can actually make an original cover of a song. For instance, Clapton or John Mayer are very good to achieve that. Making a song its own with talent, keeping the spirit of the original without spoiling it, is an art. Here it's a perfect example, and not only Keith can sing the song perfectly, but the guitar / rock part is also on spot without being too overwhelming because the song is still a ballad. Well done Keith!

I love this song, thank you the Bee Gee's & thank you Keith Urban! My hubby just passed away in June 25th, '23. He thought I was 18 & he was 19, by the time he learned 4:20 of my real age, we were already madly in love! We spent the next 39 yrs & 17 days together before he died suddenly & left me a widow at 53 yrs old, he was only 58 yrs old. I miss him dearly & so do our 3 kids & 2 grandsons. He was & is so special, he always put me & our children & family 1st. He is & was our family rock... it's only been 3 months, but I miss him so very much as well as our 3 adult kids, 2 grandsons & all his family & our friends, he was our Rock & always🤗 will be. He loved/loves the Lord & I know he's not "lost" we know he is in Heaven & with God, Amen. Please treasure every moment you have with your loved ones, b/c you never know what day will be our last, ya'know what I'm say'n? I love you my Papa, my hubby, my best friend, lover & soul mate! We miss you honey but I know your not suffering & your with God now, I will join you someday, when God calls me home. Not too soon tho, b/c our family is in such a state of grief.. I love you more than words could ever say! You know that baby, I will always be your wife & you will always be my husband! HOLY SH_T! As a 66 yr old rock & roll gal who grew up with The Bee Gees and was absolutely certain no one, and I mean NO ONE, could sing a Bee Gees song better then they could. Especially a country singer! And DAMN…this guy just proved me wrong. I have never watched another performer put so much true, heartfelt emotion into a song in my life! My heart ached as I listened to him. Honestly, I’ve never been a fan of country music but thanks to the Voice-USA, I discovered Blake Shelton’s magnetic personality and decided to check out his music. I was hooked! I think Keith Urban may be my 2nd favorite country musician! As singer/songwriters, the Bee Gees are second to none, but many people aren’t aware of their massive contribution to music. Unlike most successful groups, their immense talent has spanned 4 decades, and they’ve released 29 hit songs in multiple genres (Rock & Roll, R&B, Soul, Disco, Pop, etc). They are the “3rd most successful band in Billboard charts history behind only the Beatles and the Supremes.” And not only did they write their own hits, they wrote hits for Frankie Valli, Dionne Warwick, Barbra Streisand, Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers, Olivia Newton-John, Diana Ross, Yvonne Elliman, Celine, Dion & Destiny’s Child to date. Shockingly, when Disco music lost its appeal, the Bee Gees bore the brunt of the new born hatred for that style of music and were subjected to relentless ridicule by the now Disco-hating public. The Supremes were second on that list? I find that hard to believe. Maybe for the time period of mid-sixties, but the Bee Gees released music for many many more years. I can't believe they didn't out sell the Supremes.

My style is a mix of blues, roots, swing and country. Because I love Ry Cooder, Neil Young, all the old Blues dudes and Gospel as well and Leonard Cohen..Keith just found his slot and taught himself when he was very young. I agree that his talent is a bit wasted on country. But that's where he feels he fits.

@@scottventimiglia5861 no keep going because it's the person who just does the music that is useful. i only do simple songs and rythm but they still use me in the aged care now that i am not working. they bop along and dance etc for their happy hour. also i play for fun with a couple of friends nearly every sat avo. also another lady i know who doesn't play very well brings much enjoyment to a large group of singers at our library who also perform at aged care. it's the doing that counts. the commiting. it's a life. we have also used it in rehab and christmas at the hospital. and in disabilities. suggest you learn to sing a long if you even have a medium voice too so you can take it anywhere anytime. if you look at my youtube you will se i'm very average but i still get used. in my vids, that day i made 97$ Australian in an hour. keep going i encourage you.

Keith Urban is among the very small set of artists that can actually make an original cover of a song. For instance, Clapton or John Mayer are very good to achieve that. Making a song its own with talent, keeping the spirit of the original without spoiling it, is an art. Here it's a perfect example, and not only Keith can sing the song perfectly, but the guitar / rock part is also on spot without being too overwhelming because the song is still a ballad. Well done Keith!

He thought I was 18 & he was 19, by the time he learned 4:20 of my real age, we were already madly in love! We spent the next 39 yrs & 17 days together before he died suddenly & left me a widow at 53 yrs old, he was only 58 yrs old. I miss him dearly & so do our 3 kids & 2 grandsons. He was & is so special, he always put me & our children & family 1st. He is & was our family rock... it's only been 3 months, but I miss him so very much as well as our 3 adult kids, 2 grandsons & all his family & our friends, he was our Rock & always🤗 will be. He loved/loves the Lord & I know he's not "lost" we know he is in Heaven & with God, Amen. Please treasure every moment you have with your loved ones, b/c you never know what day will be our last, ya'know what I'm say'n? I love you my Papa, my hubby, my best friend, lover & soul mate! We miss you honey but I know your not suffering & your with God now, I will join you someday, when God calls me home. Not too soon tho, b/c our family is in such a state of grief.. I love you more than words could ever say! You know that baby, I will always be your wife & you will always be my husband!
