If you absolutely despise this video like this comment because KZhead removing dislikes was a fantastic edition
Sarcasm?
Well you see, now I'm just incredibly torn, because I like this comment and want to express that, but I also think the video was only SLIGHTLY awful, lol. Not really, I'm kidding, I'm not far enough into the video to form an opinion.
Hmm... Surprisingly accurate amount of dislikes
My lungs hate you - becuse I had so many laugh it hurts like hell! Thank you😂
What if I told you…that there is a way to save your heroes if they die?
The game is so immersive even the player gets stress checks. First, I got *Paranoid* - "The game developers are trying to mess with me, but I'm not gonna let them trick me into quitting!" Second, I got *Fearful* - "This game will get me, it's out for my blood!" Third, I got *Masochistic* - "I love this game! Hurt me more, Darkest Dungeon!" And Lastly, I got *Hopeless* - "I can't do this. It's too hard. I'm gonna give up and just watch KZheadrs complete this game."
Then, after letting the dormant evil of the darkest dungeon brew more, you become virtuous. Stalwart - "I'm not quitting just yet Red Hook!" Vigorous - "No matter how much I lose, I'll get back up!" Courageous - "Go my Leper, kill the final boss!" Powerful - "Our hamlet has grown strong!" Focused - "Nothing shall stop me from getting the countussy (Countess')!"
The 4 stages of Darkest Dungeon grief
Then Hopeless again, because of the lore.
@@user-uf2ue7vz2b the lore is super easy to understand. It's just "local man fucks up everything, his grandson fixes it". And that just repeats infinitely
I only could imagine - how would Crimson Court feel, not to mention Colours of Madness, as well modded Vermitide and Sunward Isles.
6:18 This game actually does have a targeting system where enemies will have a higher chance to attack a low hp/high stress heroes in order to kill them faster(especially on harder difficulty missions), so yeah its not total rng fucking you there its just how the game is designed
Also something i noticed it seems you havent really been using many stuns which you should really be doing, stuns are a fantastic way to lower incoming stress and damage
Yeah, if you bring a lower lvl character with a high lvl group, enemies will consistently target that one character because it is weaker, both in hp and resistances. They will occasionally switch things up, due to the randomization, or just because they only have attacks that target specific positions in the party, but they will trend towards targeting the weakest first.
there is RNG in the way turns are taken, the game will choose a random number from 1 - 9 and add up the unit's stats to determine the order in which the actions happen for your heroes and enemies alike
"this is Reginald and dismas... Don't get too attached to them" My guy, there is an achievement for doing exactly that on a very obsessive level... I.e. beating the final boss with them...
"Don't get too attached to them" You say to someone who played vanilla all the way through... and Dismas and Reynauld reached the end. And in the end, they found redemption.
Sadly my Reynauld died I am pretty sure
"I forgot to bring shovels." Yeah. I felt that same pain in my soul.
Me but with bandages
The beauty of DD is that narrative and skill progression match each other perfectly. I'm telling you: Ludonarrative _perfection._ You start out as a naive, brave adventurer. Eager to explore the world and to learn all its secrets. You feel attached to the "heroes" under your command. Horror and despair awaits. Once you're a cynical, paranoid monster who abandons stragglers at a whim, flees like a coward, touching nothing, trusting no one, pressing on towards your goals at all cost... then the game is yours. But by then it's far _far_ too late.
hope youtube will reccomend this to other people i would have mistaken this qualify of content for ShuffleFM’s
Qualify
I got it recommended 1year later
Qualify
I love it when the boss is just a support for his troops, gotta appreciate the people who value a team player enough to put them in leadership
Ah, yes. You have managed to capture all of my pains with Darkest Dungeon in a single video. Unfortunately I am apparently a masochist, as I continue to resist the game and enjoy every moment of suffering it unleashes upon me. Perhaps one day I'll actually become good enough to win the game SHOVELS. The SHOVELS man. They're clearly conspiring against us, I swear
Suddenly the concept of Shovel Knight doesn't seem so goofy. :P
Always loved the Brigand Vvulf fight. Felt so badass to have the enemies at your door, fighting in your town.
So a strategy I’ve found to work when you’re running low on funds and don’t have an antiquarian, keep four spaces available for four random heroes from the coach if your heavy hitters are unavailable. Don’t bother giving them anything more than food and torches, then when they die or become too stressed just get rid of them and replace them, it’s really good and really inexpensive if you’re trying to get yourself out of a hole as well as prevent yourself from getting too stressed out irl
just started playing this game, I forgot to bring shovels few times... and torches as well This game makes you learn the hard way. Loving it so far nice video, looking forward for part 2 !
I love this game because I like challenges, and I also like when the game don't joke around and fights back. The game makes us use our brain. Cool video, I love the montage, and your commentary is fun. :)
So much effort goes into these videos keep it up man
More videos like these, please. Really enjoyed watching it. Subscribed in hopes to see more stuff like this.
That cove-HP Lovecraft joke has gotta be one of the most hilarious things I’ve ever heard. The algorithm finally gave me some good soup with this vid, subbed ❤
Hey Dude, i really like your editing and humor. Also, the paper thing was great! That sold me in subscribing to you, it shows real dedication my guy 👍
I literally found you out of no where man but this is banger content!
Man this video was amazing, hope to see part 2 sometime :D
I am watching it, and I can't believe how great the editing and humour are. I wish you luck with the yt algorithm because you're awesome.
The video is great. Can't wait for part 2! Instant subscribe
Dude how is your channel so small, your editing is top notch and your commentary is hilarious!
Re: Stress Management Yeah, I make it a point to get the basic stress-healing camp skill on every character and have multiple Jesters/Vestels on the roster. You can stall out fights for a few rounds at the end of each fight to heal, making it much easier to consistently stay at high hp and low stress. Some players think that taking Vestels and Jesters out so often is a newbie trap, I say that consistency is more important than feeling clever or special. Coming back to town with low stress means spending less money on R&R.
There are other ways to prevent or heal stress, for exemple houndmaster/arbalest or the leper on himself, plus there are a few teams i made where i litteraly healed stress with crits by destroying ennemies
I don't like or comment on KZhead videos ever but I would like to say this video encapsulates exactly my experience and thoughts about this emotionally and mentally crippling game. Thank you.
Damn. This is a high quality video, I hope it gets recommended to more ppl.
Most of the time watching this I was dying from laughter. Great video man!
This edit was amazing, cudos dude
This was some quality content you deserve way more subscribers
I hate how this got lost in my notifications two months ago, it’s by one of my favorite ultra small creators, and it’s on one of my favorite games.
This is exactly how I feel playing this game lol Can't wait for part two to come out.
Holy shit i just checked out "Black Reliquary" cause that's the first time i've heard about it and it's actually amazing how much like an official DLC it actually looks, impressive stuff
Just found your channel and clicked on this as a one off. Great quality, surprised you don't have more subs.
I'm conflicted. I love this game and everything about it, I don't think it's too hard or time consuming, the art style and sound effects are so satisfying and well done. But on the other hand, this is genuinely good content and I can't stop laughing my ass off at your edits. So I'll just take this as a lesson in subjectivity, give you a new sub, and be on my way
Okay listen, you are way too underrated. I love your content a lot, you're funny and I like your edits hehe
this is such a good video im just getting into this game but the editing and commentary has me dead good work
Damn bro, amazing editing and humor for such a small channel. Subbed!
Loved the video especially the drawing plan explanation part😂😂😂
love the editing
Okay this was hilarious 10/10 subbed Good shit Habibi 😊
Hei, dude. I am subscribing. Love how the humor and editing
wow that takes soo many effort to make this video, big kudos to you
LETS GO HE POSTED
I honestly love this video (so far) and I also love Darkest Dungeon, so c:
YOU NEED MORE SUBS THIS VID WAS AMAZING
Absolutely reminiscent of Sseth, I like it. Well done
I FORGOT TO BRING SHOVELS TO WOLVES AT THE DOOR TOO!! I ended up fleeing after one character died, so I ended up losing 2 level 6 heroes total.
The work done at 18:40 is why i subscribed lmao
You are gonna grow in something really big 👍
That was too good, i LOVED the end with the triggered face 😂. This is my type of game.
The subscribe button lighting up as you said it made me think I was seeing shit so I replayed it over and it does it everytime neat. Also can't wait for you to lose in the sequel
Absolutely brilliant dude 😂
Best darkest dungeon vid I’ve watched
13:25 Ive never seen anyone explain the warrens better, holy shit this video is fantastic and very fucking funny, how the hell had i not seen it.
The more and more the universe is waving to me to buy and play this
This video is HILARIOUS, even though the 2nd feels better executed this is fun and instructive. And i don't even like too much insert! Many were still unecessary and you would have an easier life and better quality by not putting one every second.
Great video, subscribed
Ah finally, my quest to find the greatest darkest dungeon review on KZhead is finally completed
"Enumclaw horse sex case" 3:25 Considering I live the same county as this infamous town, this particular reference cuts deep, and is even more amusing for me, especially since I remember it being all the rage in the gossip circles at school when it happened.
Great editing
My honest opinion about the game as someone who has beaten the game on the darkest and is in the process of trying to beat it on bloodmoon is that knowledge is everything in this game if you know what's coming you can prepare for it (well atleast prepare enough that in most cases you win but sometimes get fucked anyways)
You are getting recommended, you gonna be 10k+ in a week hopefully
lived a mile from Newark, can confirm walking through Frelinghuysen Ave, before they destroyed that mile stretch of project housing, it realy was like darkest dungeon.
I know i'm commenting on an old video, but I just wanted to say that at 3:20 when he makes the horse analogy, it's funny to me that he ended it the way he did. "And it's probably just better to train and get ready instead." Implying that you should still do it, just after preparation. Perhaps it was part of the joke, but the way he said it didn't come across as dry humor but rather an unintentional gaff. Made it a lot funnier to me at least.
This is good quality.
19:41 FINALLY another person who sees for what it is
9:45 YES, you're a real one 👏👏👏. #respect
If you don't have a few hundred thousand subs in a few years I'll be surprised. Funny ass guy
One word: accurate
"How the fuck am I saying this shit-" *"THE WEALD-"* "Okay, the WEALD."
Very underrated channel
Best advice I ever heard for Darkest Dungeon: "you want to make bank, you have to build the bank".
Ah yes, the famous 'AND THE BUSINESS IS THUS FORESHADOWING'. I luv that man
This shit is so funny it for sure deserves more recognition
The biggest tip i can give to new darkest dungeon players i to prepare as much as you can, food torches and shovels are a must. You can play on radiant if you want (the game will be a little bit less hard) i won't blame you. 2º Know your heroes and get a solid grip on how teambuild learn on how each Enemy on each zone behaves and what is effective agaisnt them And most importantly Abuse stuns, prioritize Stunning/killing stress dealers or enemies that can buff other enemies.
Or if you want an easier time you can mod the game. (It is reccomended that you mod it after beating the vanilla or you can just mod things out the gate, im just a random youtube commenter not a cop)
its interesting to listen to other peoples opinions/analysis cos everyone views things so differently. I think cove is easy cos raw dmg and blight can easily deal with enemies there, and i actually hate the weald cos the map is usually super big and there are a lot of obstacles and the enemies have high prot
this editing is something else....
just bought this for 3.74 instantly after I watch this vid... I should be asleep but nah lets go!! jumping into it now
Godlike vid
Darkest dungeon is one of the only games that can stress you out in-game and in real life too
15:59 on the frame i saw the shambler’s altar i died inside watching it come closer to the party of a player who hasn’t seen it or fought the shambler before
Very nice keep it up
“The frontline of this war is not in the dungeons but in the mind” The Ancestor
inserting a torch into the shamblers altar is what led me to this video
The effort bruhh
Have this game, lost my fav crusader, got abusive punching my little fat brother, destressed with some food, got hopeless and questioned is it even worth it, destressed again with seeing people 1 hero solo final boss, and then it happened... i now have courageous and lets see in my fresh start how the dungeons will fair now
You explained this game to a tea.
can't wait for DD2 to finish it's early access/pre release on epic so you can buy it (on sale) on stream and make another banger review!! :D
I truly giggle know Enumclaw is know for the horse incident
Huge fan of this game and this video was fucking perfect. So funny
19:05, Missed opportunity for a -cringy- cheesy titledrop: "But God's light can't reach you in the Darkest Dungeon."
I have a tip if you can ignore the fact you need to install a mod that add a quite difficult boss. The Incandescent Whisperer, fight the boss and you will have the best trinket in the game
Love you bem
That ending was beautiful lmao
I had a man at arms compulsively interact with with that shambler. Thankfully instead of placing a torch in it, he just punched it like the brick he was, is. I had no clue how close I was to losing everything.
The only time i switched the quirks when they were the ones who would only allow you to stress heal in certain areas and they would just not let me stress heal or if it was free🤷
Vulkan reference. I like. Vulkan lives.
this game has an amazing debuff on the player to! the stress your heroes are going through puts you through stress to!
18:32 may or may not have named my occultist that 👀
The cove music is legendary tho
