Why do you guys need to knock her methods down? I’m happy that so many of you guys have been kindly taught how to pack this way. I, and many others have not been so lucky. She is doing what all of you who are criticizing her for are not: educating people. That is powerful and beautiful. I am grateful there are videos on the internet teaching people how to make scrambled eggs. Sure, I learned that at a young age, but because I was taught. I’m not going to go to a scrambled eggs and say, “Well... that’s just how you make eggs.. duh? “ These kinds of videos are for those who, for whatever reason, have not been fortunate to learn these skills and should be treated with respect.
I second this. Kinda sad but yeah, some people learn basic stuff thanks to internet..
i wish i could like this comment a thousand times
I agree wholeheartedly! People are terrified of change. This is a perfect illustration.
If you grew up never traveling, never having to actually pack a suit case, never seeing anyone in your family do so, not even packing to sleep over at someone's place, you won't know how to do it or details most consider basic knowledge about packing like this. Similarly, regardless of expressing interest in cooking, you were never actually taught how to fry an egg, boil it or scramble it, and you end up needing Google and these kinds of videos.
Yep, and we need to remember that parents don't teach their children these kinds of things anymore and people don't seek information from books much anymore so online is now the easiest way to learn things people once routinely learned by age 10 or so.
Seeing Marie Kondo work her magic makes me feel relaxed. She looks so peaceful and happy. I learned something new today
Lot ZamRa I agree! So many negative comments but they don’t understand Marie’s methods. The point isn’t just to shove as much shit in the suitcase as you can possibly fit- any idiot can do that. Marie is showing us how to pack an efficient, organised suitcase with CARE. I love her new Netflix series as she seems like such a sweet and calm person.
It’s not magic. I pack this way all the time
@@eviem70 Well, it's too bad that she made a book out of it and you did not.
While I didn’t learn any new organizing techniques from Kondo, she did teach me to calm down, relax and find joy and satisfaction in such tasks. You never know what you might find and learn if you open your mind and listen.
@@JennyWas13 ló
Thank you, Marie for showing the world that shoes NEED TO BE WRAPPED inside luggages and NOT to be randomly mixed with clean clothes!
i don't even have to pack a suitcase what am i doing here edit: hey guys guess who had to pack their suitcase a week or so ago
korekiyo official this made me laugh so hard 🤣
Me too! Lol 🤣
Because Marie Kondo sparks joy in you. lol.
Boring day.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I think the comments need to realise that Marie isn’t just about being efficient it’s being organised. Sure, I fit more stuff in my suitcase by rolling it and squeezing it and shoving everything into every crack and crevice that I can- I’d never pack like Marie because I’m always trying to shove in as much as I can. But when I arrive at my destination, it’s a pain in the ass to find everything I need quickly. People are saying that this simply looks better, but that’s kind of the point...
JennyWas13 It takes getting used to. First time around I folded my clothes for my closet/wardrobe I felt like was going to forget what things were. That I wouldn’t remember if it was a top or a dress, the length etc. But now I know my clothes Well so I can tell exactly what everything are even when ”rolled up”. So if you can tell at a glance then this is wonderful as it is not just ”Rolling” but folding in a way it Will stand on its own so that if you pull something out the rest will remain exactly as they were. Kondo isnt just organising it is kinda a change in lifestyle. A complete make-over your home that forced a make-over of you too as you understand yourself and your actions better.
I never roll my clothes for traveling. I consider that and extra job. And the wrinkles become worse. I just fold it and arrange it. Works fine for me. No need to roll anything.
@@clip012totally.
If everything gets its own pouch, where's the laundry bag? Or do you nearly fold up your smelly clothes?
I fold my laundry and put it in a regular bag at the bottom of the suitcase.
I absolutely adore this woman and for those who have Netflix she has a series on there! :)
I love her as well . I became almost minimalist because of her way to organize and it feels so good.. When I open my drawer or closet I FEEL ABUNDANCE WITH FEW ITEMS BECAUSE ITS VISIBLE AND ACCESSIBLE.. I SAVE SO MUCH $$ FOR CLOTH AND I BUY TICKET TRAVEL INSTEAD🌻🌺🎉🎈🌺🌻🎉🎈🌺. Thanls MARIE KONDO👍👍👍👍👍
@@amelsabri469 4 years later, have you been enjoying the life style?
Now only if she could organise my life
unfortunately that's something we must do alone.
Well you will need a force Maries to do that, even then it will ruined the day they finish it
Read her book.
Now if only she would see a therapist about her OCD...
Another tip for people who buy a lot during vacation: you can put your suitcase inside a larger empty suitcase. When you need more space for the things you buy, you can separate the suitcases.
The only thing i want to learn from her is her patience
Marie is basically Isabelle from Animal Crossing.
Fun fact Isabelle in the french version of the game is called Marie !
Omg....finally my feelings made into words😱😱😱😱
I think it’s a great way of packing! I lead student tours in Europe and I insist that my travelers only bring a carry-on bag because not all hotels have elevators and a lot of the time the rooms are tiny. Bringing a big suitcase just isn’t practical. I had been having the kids roll their clothes but since I learned Marie’s method of folding, I will teach them how to pack like this! Merci beaucoup Ms. Kondo!
Marie Kondo is the soul I would love to have around my house- and in my life. She is so peaceful 😭😭💜💜
her folding methods and decluttering has helped me to halve my entire wardrobe and shoe collection in a slow process of two years and help me to realise ' to use / buy what i only need ' . Same idea here when you need to pack a suitcase and having a cabin size will limit you to not over packing .
keep what sparks joy
For myself--an elderly female who enjoys sampling different ways to organize--I like to browse through many videos and systems. Usually a few ideas will appeal; some flatly DO NOT. In the end I get concepts which I adapt to my own preferences. This is also true in other aspects of life like cooking, wardrobe selections, etc. I have never found ONE COMPLETE SYSTEM for my needs. Thank you authors and videographers for providing ideas which I can work with but do not replace my own ingenuity!
I tend to roll instead of file fold because I'm plus sized and my clothes are bulky but I used a lot of her techniques and was able to fit an entire week long trip into my small carry on and my backpack, even left some space for some souvenirs. I think all that I would do differently or add would be role hosiery (tights, stockings, socks) and shove them in your shoes to save even more space
Marie Kondo has helped me so much and she has helped me again!
She looks so happy and cheerful and here I am at 11:30pm the night before I leave staring sullenly at my suitcase with a glass of wine
Hey, your version of packing is much cooler
She's like the mom I've always wanted :') ♡
Im inspired by miss marie kondo. I watch here tidying up in netflix and it really helps me to organize things. Im all around nanny . Thanks to miss marie kondo Because of her i got a praise from my employer as a nanny being praise is an honor. I love her attitude towards things she gave respect even to a house. You really inspired me. Keep it up. 💐
I love the tip about putting underwear in bra cups!
Me too! It’s brilliant. I have never thought about doing that, but it’s something I’ll try.
On holidays I take only soft bra without stiff cups , what am I to do !!! Where should I put my underwear , help! Help! :). Just joking , nice tip , but the best tip is just to take less. People are obsessed with stuff, and they want to carry it all with them all the time. Less stuff less problems.
"Fitness as Philanthropy" What about a person who uses a sports bra or binders?
Everybody does this surely? best way stop the bras getting out of shape.
I'd like to see a suitcase packed with winter clothes. Big and bulky items are hard to pack efficiently
One coat and a pair if boots is going to fit in one suitcase😂😂😂
Packing cubes! I freaking love them, don’t know how I lived before that. But this looks so visibly pleasing.
she really enjoy this and this make me happy
I like packing like this. It makes everything easy to find at a glance. My drawers always get messed up when I dig through the piles of shirt looking for one. This way I can see everything at once. But to each their own.
"Rebecca Elliott" yes
Finally. A video that showed all my tricks. Thank you for taking the time to make the video. These tricks are really helpful. I learned them from a magazine years ago. No idea which one it was. But it really helps.
Her voice soothes my soul 💆🏻♀️
Cutest human being alive. I’ve watched the whole series. I truly can’t see her face enough. 🥰
I use her folding method with packing cubes-travel game changer!
Tried this. Worked like magic!
I always pack like that but why watching her pack stuffs is so relaxing
I think her methods are really good. I’ve just bought her book and what she says makes perfect sense. And she seems a very joyful and positive girl.
Precioso como ordena Mary Kondo. Admirable 👏🏻❤
Marie is awesome, no matter what she is teaching! 🙂
Watching this is somehow so satisfying and makes me happy 😂
Her videos make me feel so relax
us too!
Packing always makes me feel like playing Tetris.
Watching that made me smile!!! I need to go on holiday straight away, just so I can pack a case!!! 😉
Sounds like a good excuse to us!!
wow. that suitcase sparks joy. i like it..
I 💙KonMari! She is wonderful! So happy and willing to be helpful. I've learned a lot from her. And now I'm off to tackle laundry mountain
I needed to see this as l sit on a suitcase to get it closed. Thanks 😊
What a genius businesswoman. The fact that she can turn this extremely basic common sense into something “revolutionary” is amazing.
yeah strong independent boss woman
if possible, wear the bulky outfits and bigger stuff on the flight, it saves space in your suitcase.
Absolutely love her!
Love this! I never would have thought of this and now I can see all my clothes right from my suitcase! Thank you!
Ya that is the point, you can see all your clothes.
I like the map on the inside of the suitcase. Pretty cool 😀
Why did this make me so happy?
Thnx soooo much for this awesome idea
Thank you Marie Knondo for this video thanks to you my suitcase has never been more meter and has more space
¡Apenas te veo por acá por primera vez, Marie Kondo! Adoro tus 📚. Y estoy empezando a practicar tu método. Además te veo por NETFLIX. Abrazo desde Bogotá ☕️.
She is a master of organizing!
Or she has OCD...
Thank you this was great!!!!!
Beautiful vídeo!!!
I packed my boyfriend’s suitcase like this, and he was skeptical at first, but loved that he could see everything when he opened his suitcase and he didn’t have to dig
YES! That will work !!!
Hello everyone 👋😊😊 and blessed be y'all honest and neat.
I swear she’s a wizard
We agree!
thanks! you got some good tips!!
Love the show
Saving so much space. I always used to do the rolling method which takes maybe less time. But folding probably is better wrinkle wise.
"Azadeh Nikou" there is always one thing or other. I think that to save space in a suitcase or backpack or whatever, it is best to bring what you need. Items such as cosmetics are a luxury and it has always surprised me how women try so hard to being cosmetics along. I spent some time in the military and I saw some female soldiers pack things like different kinds of shampoo, conditioners, hair curlers, cosmetic kits with nail polish, skin creams, compacts, and blow dryers (and back then they were larger ) etc etc. Oddly they were willing to carry their heavy duffel bags filled with these things besides clothes such as dresses and high heel shoes. I have on occasion come across women who claim that they never used cosmetics in their lives. I think that dresses are even useless to bring for travel. They are meant to wear if you are not moving and/or if you don't need to carry things or if you don't need to run quickly to catch an airplane or walk around in hot weather sightseeing or in the sun etc. Of course it could always depend. Maybe if you are a model who has to bring dresses to be photographed in.. but the most practical clothes to bring are those meant for active wear, such as hiking pants or khakis, safari or trekking shirts. Maybe someone ought to make a video showing how much lighter a person can pack leaving out cosmetics and unnecessary fancy clothes.
I need to pack a suitcase soon but I think I stick with rolling most of my stuff and my travelcubes for organizing as I need to pack stuff for cold and warm days. If I needed only summer clothes and only stay in one hotel I might use this method.
I tried it today, it is actually very efficient, i cld even count my items in the bag without flipping anything bec everything is visible... it does save a lot of hassle...
Decluttering is practice of getting rid of overthinking of thoughts , products , relationship and etc..gratitude to space And things
Very good video, thank you
Love it!
Brilliant
There was totally room for that dress. Take it, Marie! Taaaaaake it!
Packing cubes - best thing ever.
I love her!
Professional ORGANIZER!!!
Love it!👍🏽👍🏽😊
That's amazing
I love this women my draws look so tidy now xx
Can't believe I've been doing this exactly instinctively
Gr8 tips 👌
I always flip my hats upside down and put clothing inside. Also keeps the hats shape especially when you can put a lot of smaller items inside.
Só cute. Congratulations
Nice tips .
I'd like a sweatshirt and pull version, I particularly travel in winter and it so difficult to me to organize my suitcase
Whoawww love it
Great. Bravo.
Excelent 👏👏
Yes Indeed!
I would like her to show how to pack like this for long trips. I’m going on a mission trip for 11 days to Europe and I’m generally a heavy packer so I’d like to see a video for that (Let me know though if she already has one up about it.)
Heck YES
I need to pack a suitcase for my trip and I am watching this 😆
Marie is so sweet 😀
God bless you 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
She's amazing.. Arigato
I’ve been rolling up my clothes for years now. It really does work.
Es admirable
Nice
I enjoyed your video with the exception of only music and just activity,Hearing a live voice with the demonstration would have been nice.
I also been rolling my clothes for years and years not only space but can clearly see every thing on top no need to dig out 😁😁😁👏🇬🇧
Someone just mentioned you today and then you came up on my feed! It must be a sign! Loved the video! Also on another vote would love to know if anyone knows how to speed up a video - I’m new and would love any tips. Thank you x
You can skip ahead/go back in 10 second increments by pressing the directional arrows on your keyboard (left arrow for back, right arrow for ahead). There's also another way but I cannot recall. Just do an online search. This is also presuming you're viewing on a laptop or device with a keyboard. If you're viewing on a mobile device, simply tap the screen while video is playing. I hope that's what you meant 😬 Enjoy the KonMari endeavors. My daughter, mother of four young children including a 2-month old, has been doing this method and loves it and now I am also. My knickers drawer has never looked so damn good!
Огромное спасибо!
People -you need to GROW UP !People pack stuff in different ways -pick the one that works for you and do it that way. If people want to pack stuff the way that she does then do it.
Cynthia Thomas This times a million!!!!
What happened to the shoes? And where is the bag for laundry - are you supposed to neatly fold your smelly clothes or just thank them for their service and purge them?
@@lenawagenfuehr53 😆
She's so beautiful 😍
Genial
