Women React To Affordable Men's Fragrances (Hugo Boss, Montblanc, Coach, Issey Miyake, & More)
We are back again with another blind reaction video. In this video, we picked out seven affordable men's fragrances for our female guests to test out. Each guest was given two test strips for each fragrance. The first strip is sprayed 10-30 seconds before smelling. The 2nd strip was sprayed an hour before each guest sat down to give it a chance to dry down. After a quick break, our guests will go back and smell all the fragrances again to decide their favorite and least favorite. We hope you enjoy it! What other types of fragrance videos would you like to see on the channel?

Videos are getting better. Reactions are much more detailed, realistic and less exaggerated - which helps those of us who are deciding whether to put down our hard-earned money on a bottle or two.
I like when they say whether they think it's a masculine or feminine smell...or smells like grandpa (or grandma).....or "unisex".....I've been misled on colognes before where a guy on the street asks women what they think,.... they all love it, and it turns out that it smells like women's perfume. I don't want the forklift operator giggling at me and telling me I smell pretty.
@@garypierce7380 Remember that your personal body chemistry plays a huge role in how the overall scent will end up being perceived. There are women's fragrances in the oriental or chypre category that I think men can easily pull off. Of course, a straight up cotton candy scent on a man will get some weird looks lol but I'm talking more complex fragrances than that.
@@garypierce7380 I'll have to give you the literal translation to these comments lol. These days everyone love fragrances to be sweet or overly sweet. If they say it's masculine, it means it's like a boys scent. If they say grandpa, it's a traditional masculine scent
Issey Miyake L’eau d’Issey…. A holiday fragrance. I’ve heard it all now.
😂
I love Hugo Boss. One of my favorite scents. Got 2 compliments wearing it last nite! Wish the original didn't get reformulated over the years :(
One thing I’ll say about these fragrance review videos against every other… these have the best editing by far
8:50 is where Coach sales went up by 1000% 😂
Women do love it in my experience.
9:24 the same with Hugo here 😍
4:21 or here
Conclusion: girls like generic shower gel smells.
cmon ladies are too easy now, turn off
I love these videos, they are great at detailing how varied opinions on fragrances really are and they give me a sense of what fragrances I may like if I seek to blind buy any of these. Thank you for all the work you all put in as a channel! Edit: I saw this on another comment but I do agree that it would be great to hear from the Channel runners their personal picks from the video or their opinions on the fragrances brought up in the video.
Another great video guys! Love the format of your videos, very nice, clean, and professional!
These girls have helped me so much in putting my online order together lol . Great video, Teddy!
I have to admit, I haven't even watched it yet but I love when I see these blind reaction videos posted. 😃
I’d like to add to these blind reviews a segment at the end where Teddy/Courtney giving some closing remarks…. How they’d describe each fragrance, and comment on what the girls might have been reacting to when they gave their reviews. For one fragrance one girl says it smells fresh and clean and another girl says she thinks it smells floral, another says it smells like old man. Having Teddy come back in to tie it all together and wrap things up would help.
Yes, it can be confusing. To me "floral" means what grandma would wear.
Totally agree.
@@garypierce7380 Floral is the base for nearly every fragrance, even gourmands. FYI.
New Sub here ! I love these actual reactions ❤️ I care about the memories and visuals associate with a fragrance than the note breakdown. Most videos are 8 minutes long about the note breakdown. This channel is unique and great ! 👍🏼
Love these blind reactions! A lot of these fragrances, I’ve never heard of. It’d be helpful if the notes were listed
Video idea: Ask their favorite male celebrity as a frame of reference to taste or who they’re imagining smelling these on whether it be Actor/Musician/Athlete. Great content keep it up!
Love this! Keep these videos coming.
I bought Nautica Voyage because of Gabs reaction to it. Thanks. To be fair she was spot on, except for that "compensating" part. Or am I...? Dammit now I need to re-examine my life.
I bought that after watching several reviews....right away I thought it smelled like perfume. I gave it to my daughter-in-law and ordered a big bottle of Nautica Blue. Luckily Voyage Perfume was only twenty bucks. Hopefully they can figure out how to give Blue some staying power.
I bought voyage after just smelling a sample I bought and loved the aquatic fresh vibe and had to buy it, funny thing is I never even wear it since I bought it. I wore it for a short period after I bought it and got me plenty of compliments, but now I just don't like the cheap toilet spray vibe it gives me anymore I want better quality and sexier fragrances. So generally I reach for Ralph Lauren Deep Blue for that sexy aquatic fresh scent that doesn't smell cheap quality
Easily the best concept to be introduced to the fragrance community in recent years. Gab and the leather clad confident blonde are my favourites.
I've just watched all of your "react" videos and I came to the following conclusions: 1- As a general rule, women tend to prefer fresh/slightly sweet fragrances. 2- More expensive =/= better. 3- Fragheads are some of the most oversensitive people out there. It just takes one person rejecting their "manly" fragrances and they get instantly triggered. 4- If you want to be perceived as a "good smelling guy", don't trust all of those "frag gurus" out there. Also, compliments are extremely rare outside of your close circle, don't expect people hanging from your neck telling you how good you smell as those youtubers make it looks like.
Or you can just wear whatever you like and not worry about others opinions.
These videos are great! Keep them coming!
loving the reveals at the end even though they are short.
I think it would be cool/entertaining to hear the reactions of the group interacting together to the ones they like and don’t like at the end. That could be fun 🥳
I used to wear clinique happy all the time in college. My friends always complimented it
Great content as always. 👌
I love these vids🔥 I would have no problem if fragrances were repeated along with a fresh set of people. I would also love to see YSL Y Le Parfum make an appearance🙏🏽
Great overall, but I have to underline that the fragrances you picked were very good for a reaction video! Not only on this one, but you are always spot on at selecting the scents.
Love this group. Would love to see them again but I think all the clips with each group were shot in a single day 😭 would also enjoy seeing reactions to dunhil icon
love this series
Every video you make deserves a 'Like' from every viewer - folks support this awesome channel!
Thanks! Most of my recommendations from your past videos were chosen. Waiting for Moschino Toy Boy, Versace Blue Jeans, Ch Men Prive, Lanvin Eclat de Arpege, La Nuit DLhomme YSL, Mancera Instant Crush, Leau Par Kenzo, Rochas Moustache and D&G K.
I'm very curious on how they will react to Toy Boy..
Loving the completely different results on the Hugo review. I absolutely love this one on my man, it's my favorite of all of his colognes. Was pretty unhappy watching all the meh reactions but that girl at the end saved everything lol. Fresh but not lemony, manly and attractive but he doesn't smell like steel or wood or anything awkward like that.
As a Grandpa, I wish they would use that in a more loving way :)
Lol...you so true
great video. it’s nice that you actually showed them what they picked. 🙌🏻
I'd be curious to see what your ladies/panel reaction to Burberry Hero EDT would be. Not the EDP. Thx in advance.
Great video, good job! 👍
This channel is really starting to grow on me.
The blonde with the leather jacket should start a fragrance channel. Great nose.
Best video concept untill now
STELLA IS MY SPIRIT ANIMAL 🔥 Word for word everytime !
Excellent video. I’d love to see a review or reaction to Liu (Him) by Emporio Armani. It’s a older scent, but I think it is being reissued and therefore we’re seeing some reviews of it. Not very expensive.
Looks like I have to start using that Lagerfeld Classic decant. Have it for a while but the first time a wore it it I found it to be too strong. Maybe I should give it another chance.
If you get the chance, try and find a bottle of Lagerfeld Cologne. It's vintage and for vintage, you can find it for good value. The newer bottles say Classic, you have to look for the one that says cologne. I don't care for Curve, but that's just me. I do like Coach for Men, and I do like a lot from the Issey line. I don't own any from these two houses. I have a few from Hugo. The Scent, and Bottled Oud. I don't care for those, but I do like Hugo Sport and Hugo Boss No.1 vintage. Both of those are vintage. I know the girls wouldn't like No.1 vintage, for it does have that animalic honey in the opening. That's ok, I like it, and I do wear perfumes mainly for me. I do like the fact that these girls don't care for scents that are overpowering. This was a really good upload. Keep them coming. SOTD, Polo Sport Vintage. Man, I still like this one.
I got the coach and it's worth it alot of compliments.
Fun fact:. Lagerfeld Classic was a favorite scent of Liberace, along with Avon Wild Country, of all things 😂
That is pretty interesting!!!! 👍🏻😂
I love Wild Country! It's such a classic, warm, powdery slightly sweet scent that sits quite comfortably in the unisex category (at least it used to; haven't smelled it in years now).
btw love the afterthoughts at the end of video.
Review on best all time fragrances
The thing with coach for men is that it smells way better on clothes and skin, but it's no doubt a huge lady pleaser and gets so many compliments. But on paper may not always get the reactions you want because on paper it can smell a bit boring but on skin and clothes it's great
This channel is just a class act all around - love it - great work
The girl in the leather jacket is spot on
Next time I’m in the mid-west I’m DEFINITELY taking my bottle of Coach
I have a suggestion, put all the winner cologne or most "liked" all together in a video, nautica voyage, nautica blue, versace fraichi, YSL Y, whatever cologne won in that certain video. In a video with 5-6 colognes to see who wins.
Hugo is still the best amongst these
Curve is a close second
Love this
I own several different colognes and the most compliments I have received came while wearing Monte Blanc Legend
It could be fun (for some of us), to let women at 40-50 do the reaction
Ahhhh...this maybe a challenge for them to look into. Those are the ages that really buy these frags for their men
I really like these videos! Would like to see a bit more variety in the women represented, such as women from different cultural backgrounds and different ages. I think it would be interesting to see how a woman who is used to men smelling more of incense, spices, resins, etc. reacts to 'freshies' for example or how an actual grandma perceives fragrances younger people say smell like a grandma lol.
Can't belive coach men got that much compliment from them hahahaha, I bought it because i wanna smell good but not grab attention so it's surprising to this video
I own Lagerfeld Classic. Love it. Good for the cooler months.
Good job 👍🏽
More videos like these please
Curve mustve been reformulated alot. That was definitely Jr High/High School scent back in the day 2000s along with Fierce and ADG
Exactly my thought! I was like, old man smell? This was the choice scent of high schoolers back in the day.
@@TheClutchVODIts the fragrance dna that has become dated and associated with another time. Most fragrances that have an emphasis on oakmoss might be deemed mature as that was a dominant note in the 80s and 90s. Oakmoss was hip for high schoolers back then as ambroxan is for them now.
Every time I put on Hugo I feel like I’m going to the airport and heading to the mall on a sunny day 😂. Boss😊
The women are back god bless
That blond girl in leather jacket she describes all.of them so well and she is also good looking should start doing it on yt
What's the name of that giddyup jingle horse song?
I really like these videos
Great video
I guess the lady at perfume store is a real expert telling me that Coach is legit and the popular cologne is not worth it. I got a lot of compliment from ladies and they love it. Never seen a woman talk with me a lot.
I knew Coach would be a favorite, women absolutely love it. Wish it had better performance though.
Curve was the goat back in the day 🤣
Coach for Men aka Jimmy Choo Man or Montblanc Legend. It's sweet, fruity aromatic, mass appealing however the performance is atrocious. Own JCM and MBL and you have to go 20 sprays if you want any longevity. It's not a mystery that the girls picked it as their favorites.
yep.. blue fragrances sell for a reason.. Coach is one of them (even though it's not in a blue bottle)
For ages I was on the hunt for the quintessential blue fragrance and I finally found it with Coach for Men. It epitomizes that type of scent. Does not last long though unfortunately
do valentino unomo intense please
can you put loriental white in one of these vids
Love the concept of this video but it might be a good idea to keep the name of the fragrance on screen while they smelling each fragrance
Good ol' Montblanc Individuel
I remember when every high school kid wore Curve.
Coach for men. Im finding they changed the bottle and the top spray area is black and in this video it shows silver. Or am i looking at the wrong fragrance?
Wrong fragrance
Issey Miyake, nice!
Weird how citrusy scents are such hit or miss, I wonder how Dior Homme Cologne and Bvlgari Wood Neroli work on these people.
Hi, I am a teen boy in the market for an affordable fragrance that isn't the same as most others. Personally I've been thinking of getting versace eros or saint julep by imaginary authors. Can someone please help me if this is a good decision, even better any ideas of what I should get. Love the videos too Teddy and Courtney.
I gifted my nephews a bottle of Versace Eros and Versace Eros Flame last year and they were way too strong for both of them (one is a junior, the other a senior in high school). So I gave the younger one a bottle of Versace Dylan Blue instead and the older one a bottle of Armani Code and they both loved these and said they get more attention than ever when they wear them. Hope this helps 🤘🏼
Imaginary Authors makes unisex colognes….you should buy samples first because some of them lean feminine…Saint Julep for example.
so coach was the mayoririty?
I wish it smelled like a Pagani . Would have been a keeper
What happened to this channel? Love this reaction format. New videos please!!
Stranger danger to Curve! lol
issey miyake l'eau d'issey 🙌🙌
Better affordable frags out there tbh. I can roll off some right now. 1. Moschino uomo and Moschino forever 2. Versace blue jeans 3 ck be or ck one 4 Versace The Dreamer. 5. CK Escape. Over here in the UK these fragrances in this list range from £15 to £28 At the very most. Please have these ladies smell these. Awesome cheapies.
Versace the dreamer is grosssss. So is Blue Jeans. Literally among the top 10 worst colognes I've ever smelled. Unless you want to smell like an 80 year old mixed with hotel bathroom freshener. CK One smells like women's perfume. Floral and feminine.
@@MG-jy5qx trust me there are far more expensive ones that smell worse
#6 was very interesting, tells me which of the girls have "healthy" relationships with men in their lives. "Musky old, stranger danger/dad" vibes vs. "Ooh, this smells like my grandpa" haha
BIG FACTS...
@Kevin. My favorite was: "Smells like shaving cream fights in the 7th grade". 😊
Lol I bought him hugo and when he opened it I said "my grandpa wore this and I loved how it smelled" haha
Has anyone heard or tried Tequila bleu pour homme?
@John. I havent, but now you have me curious and I'm going to look into it... It's one of your favorites I take it? 😊
@@oldiesgeek454 i do like it alot. I got it in kenosha wi. for about 40 bucks. I love the citrus in it. There is not alot or any information on tequila blue. But i would like to hear what other people have thought of this cologne.
Where is Tressa? :(
Hugo Boss was my first fav perfume but Hugo Just Different is much better
Is Coach for men EDT or EDP ?
EDT
Better with women reaction vidoes. Thank you for listening to your audience! More women reacting on mens fragrances. You can do men reacting on womens fragrance. But don’t mix it! We don’t always need a mans reaction on a mans fragrance. I’m a man myself, if I like it I wear it. But what women thinks of it is a lot more interesting since it’s proven that women have better sense of smell. “New research shows that women have more cells in the olfactory bulb - the area of the brain that is dedicated to sense of smell - than men. The authors of the study - published in PLOS ONE - suggest this may explain why women are reported to have a better sense of smell than men.”
There's actually a lot of videos with women reacting to men's fragrance or vice versa but not a lot of same gender reaction. It's kind of an empty territory there. I think women have better sense of smell because they use more scented products and more likely to use fragrances compared to guys. Their nose are more trained.
Man late 90's early 2000's that Curve was a banger... Now it's so dated but trust me.. Back then it was a lady killer...
Yea it was..that and that, Nautica, Joop and OG Lagerfeld
@double-scoop7117 omg I dated a guy with nautica once and I've been chasing that scent ever since haha
Don't forget Unforgivable by Sean Jean! I used to crush em wearing that lol
Its wild to hear these women talk about Curve smelling like an "old man" fragrance. I think of it as just the opposite. I don't picture anyone over the age of 18 wearing Curve, tbh. That's pre-conceived notions for ya, I guess.
25 years ago everyone in their teens wore curve. Now all those people are in their 40's/50's and some still wear it which would explain the "smelling old" comments. I also find the dna a bit dated compared to more modern scents.
Please do a reaction video with Bentley silverlake
@Freaky Blinder. Is Silverlake one of your favorites?
Individuel is my only regret so far. Smells so much like an older man to me. Maybe someone used it in my childhood or something
It’s strange to me hearing people say Montblanc Individuel is strong and overpowering. It’s honestly one of the lightest, cleanest scents around. You can overspray the hell out of it and barely anyone will smell you still. Also, do females really think Coach is boujee? Nothing about that brand really implies luxury to me in 2022.
If I was 30 and single I’d wear Lagerfeld Classic and take Anna to Barrymore’s which is a lounge built on the stage of an old theater.
Funny, because she kinda has (Drew) Barrymore vibes lol
@@GucciButNotGuilty She seems like a very kind sweetheart just like Drew.
I used to wear curve when I was young that’s so weird lol
Please do more Vintage Vintage scents ! The modern stuff is boring ...
Sweet grandmas house And cab driver 😆
That was pretty funny...
