This is the story of Momo, a high school girl from a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate Okarun, an occult freak. The two of them started talking after Momo rescued Okarun from getting bullied. However, an argument ensues between them since Momo "believes in ghosts but denies aliens," and Okarun "believes in aliens but denies ghosts." To make the mutual deniers believe in each other, Momo goes to an abandoned hospital, which is a UFO spot, and Okarun goes to a tunnel, which is a haunted place. In each place, they encounter overwhelming paranormals that transcend comprehension. Amid predicaments, Momo awakens her hidden power and Okarun gains the power of a curse to challenge the paranormals! Their fateful love begins as well!?

I’ve gotta say. This is probably the most unique and interesting premise I’ve seen for an anime in *a while.* I really feel like this is really gonna break the internet (Edgerunners and Chainsaw Man style) when it finally drops.
Oh the manga is amazing, and not only is the premise unique, but how the story is told and what it focuses on is so unique and refreshing and really elevates the characters

@@Glatier I definitely think Science Saru has what it takes. One thing they are really good at is just making an anime look really good even if there is limited animation. But it will still be such an undertaking without the immense resources of a studio like Mappa or Ufotable 😭 but I still think Science Saru is just best overall because fuck Ufotable has a very distinct style of animation that just doesn’t fit Dandadan and fuck Mappa
