Awesome video guys thanks for putting the time in to making it. Im going to do mine now and clean the system up.
This is what I’ve been waiting for 😏
Wow man how did marty shirt change colour 🤭you done some wicked photo shop 😉😉😉
Hey mate. Awesome video and very helpful. Just done my wife's 3.2 and replaced all four injectors as well. 120,000km and intake was chockers! One question, the springs on the intake manifold have got me stumped. I didn't see Marty crack the nuts so not sure whether they should be done up tight as Marty did later or actually have some spring effect. Can't find anything in the manuals
Muchas gracias!!!❤️
What size spanner for injectors
Great content
Thanks mate 👍
Fantastic video guys lot of detail I'll be attempting it myself soon.
Thanks mate all the best 👌
Where did you get all the gaskets for the egr and manifold ?
Great great video guys
Thanks for the support mate 👌
Can. You give us a list of parts we will need to do this procedure please
I have a 2008 Triton and I haven't clean the intake manifold yet. Ran for 350,000 kms and I wonder how many soot could it be?
Hi. Nice video! Have you ever tried to remove the swirl valves on a 4m41 engine? I have read that Mitsubishi have removed the swirl valves on newer models, so I'm guessing thet they found out that they did not need the valves. I am tempted to remove mine and let the control solenoid be as it is.
Both my 2013 and 2014 Paj don't have swirl valves. Id like to know whether this has an impact on soot accumulation. The 2014 has never had a manifold clean that Im aware of at 290km, so will be interesting when I get time to pull it apart and do the clean.
Nice vid mate, do you know if it's the same process for 2.5l mn? Cheers 🤙🏼
I couldnt tell you, im not too sure.
Although, i think "servicemyride" has a video on the mn's mate
Cheers mate will have a butchers
Great details vid mate. I’ll be doing mine soon I’ll also clean the intercooler pipes and intercooler itself. Plus add a catch can. What gasket did u replace. Just the main one at the manifold and internal manifold gasket?
Hey thanks mate, and yeah i replaced the rubber gasket from the intake manifold going into the block. The metal gasket of the manifold where are the butterfly valves are, i re used. But as u saw in the video, mine was leaking a bit. So we also put some gasket maker on aswell
@@joshsparkman2060 sweet so just the 2 main gaskets I could get away with cheers bruv. Fyi done the 2” lift on the ml looks sick.
Haha cheers bro, thanks for the support 👌😁
Hey boss, just a random question... When you're changing the oil filter out, is there heaps of oil aswell... I've changed it out myself the last 2 times and I feel like I'm missing a step with the amount of oil that comes out. Next time I'll be drilling a hole in the bottom to drain it first 😂... Also they're massive filters...
Nah dude, youre definitely doing it right. Just make sure the oil cap is off when you undo the sump bolt. And yeah, its normal for that much oil to still be left in there
When we do oil changes, we can never get 100% of the old oil out.
@@joshsparkman2060 all good cheers man... That dam oil filter can hold some oil is my biggest problem 😂
You should put a egr blanking plate on there and a catch mate
Hey mate, yeah i got a western filters catch can and a egr delete cable
@@joshsparkman2060 hey mate, silly question maybe but if you put an egr delete cable in, does it negate the turbo? Or is this the v6?
@Josh Sparkman how well did your egr cable delete work, was looking at getting one, no need for a blanking plate with them aye??
Do you have idea how can we make the 2007-2010 Triton 4m41 4wd with specs 118kw/160hp be upgrade to 147kw/200hp?
4jj1 swap it
Did it fix the bogging down between 2000 and 3000 rpm in first and second when cold?
Yeah mate it actually did 👍
Sick video dude, the only thing I will mention to ya is don't crack the fuel lines on a common rail vehicle, but other then that heaps of info dude. If ya do the valve clearances on it be careful of number 4 injector. Cracked the top off one during my apprenticeship haha
Hey man thanks heaps! Quick question.. so if were not suppose to crack the fuel lines, whats the correct way to do it?
@@joshsparkman2060 It should bleed itself apparently, but may require a lot of cranking before it's done
Always bleed air from injector or rail. Hate wen people say this shit.
@@ferdi6075 and damage injectors cause no fuel to cool them and burn them out very smart mechanic bro
@karl658 hey mate how would you bleed the lines? I’m literally doing this tomorrow
Should have done the valve clearances when you got that far. Good vlog. Went to Mitsubishi and on their screen it didn’t show a gasket for the inlet manifold lid and they couldn’t give me one. Hard to believe.
How many ks are on this one? Been wondering if I should do mine, it's at 190,000
Mine was on 250 000. But i suspect its been done before, because 1 of the alen key bolts was an actual normal bolt
Hey Josh, did it run much better after this
Well mine wasnt toooo badly clogged, but it made a little difference. Yes
Hey Josh. Thanks for the video and instructions. I’m no mechanic but follow your video and competed the clean / replaced gasket myself. No issues. Thanks again bro.
☺️🌺🇳🇨👌
Yikes, it looks like a shit job to remove the intake manifold on the 3.2 compared to the 2.5
