Yeah, as the game went along you could see the dominance of Utah's offensive and defensive line as USC's fizzled out. And Utah has a couple of excellent tight ends that know how to catch and run. Their running backs had huge holes to run through also. And their defense got a great pass rush going. And if you notice Tyrone Whittingham stays at Utah, that's exactly what Oregon needs, a coach that doesn't bail on them. And now we've learned Oregon lost their offensive coordinator as he took the job at Arizona, or was it Arizona State? Well here's hoping Dan Lanning hangs around for a few years. Great programs are built when coaches stay.

Riley is a great coach. But Williams is generational QB. I think Williams makes them really good. Without Williams I don’t know what usc would be, maybe 2-4 losses ?

The best feeling in the world is when you can run the ball, and the other team can do absolutely nothing about it! I’m a former offensive linemen and we would run the ball 30-40x a game and pile up 300 rushing yards and it’s a great feeling to have
I’m a Penn St fan. I’ve been saying that Utah would be a much better fit in the BIG… Utah plays the same type of game as BIG teams do. Utah has a great head coach who could have any open job in the country..USC fans think they’re going to dominate the BIG they can have all the 5 star QB’s and WR they want they’re going to get a beating unless they get the dudes in the trenches..

Shout out to Utah. Every year, for the last 20 years, they've gotten incrementally better and better. Former mid-level Mountain West team, to #1 MWC (along with TCU, another amazing program), to now being #1 PAC. Pretty amazing work by that athletic department.
They really left BYU in the dust lol . They were equal programs about a decade ago
20 years? They were undefeated in '04 and '08, finishing 4th and 2nd in the AP poll. They haven't gotten close to those heights since (we'll see where they land this year).
@@conehed1138 they weren’t at the point where they could go week to week with bigger programs though. This team has definitely improved in the last 20 years. Went from winning the MWC and one big name program in a bowl game to not just winning the PAC-12 in back to back years, but being 4-0 in the past two seasons against the 2nd best team in the PAC-12. They were both spankings in the PAC-12 champ games too. I’m pretty sure that’s the epitome of massive progress.

considering his several injuries, this was a solid game from Williams. Statistically he played well (save for the meaningless interception), and I think its pretty clear that the rest of his team let him down. The run game was bad, the o line played horribly, and the defense couldnt tackle for their life. There really wasnt a whole lot he could do, and I think he is still alive in the heisman race

USC is well known for being incredibly explosive in their offense, and they really showed it in their dominance of the first quarter-- but once Utah started gaining momentum, they never stopped. Rock solid defense, combined with some absolutely absurd offensive plays, were all they needed to very literally push through to victory.

Great win for Utah. They are much better than their 3 losses imply. They had the Florida game won if not for the costly interception at the goal line with just seconds to play. It was just one of those years where the mistakes in their games came at crucial moments. Hope they win their bowl game.

Thought the Trojans were going to blow the Utes out in the first quarter.Give the Utes credit all season long they've been the best offense in the 2nd and 3rd quarters in college football.The O line and defense were also.Great win for the Utes.
Michigan looked to be in trouble in the 1st quarter at Ohio St and did the same thing Utah did
When Caleb got hurt it was trouble, the one trump card SC had was his mobility and big time playmaking with his legs. When he was going on all cylinders in the 1st quarter Utah couldn't figure out how to contain him. His injury made him one dimensional and the Utes could just stay home on everyone, made it very hard to for SC to keep the offense up. Utah is just a more complete team at this point. Caleb could have pulled some magic out of his hat if he was 100% and willed them to a victory MAYBE, but tbh the Trojans would have gotten exposed badly in the CFP coz their defense is just not there yet. A recruiting class or two will change that though. Great season by SC for a 1st year with a new regime, but tbh even as a Trojan fan, i think they ended up where they probably should be. It was a bit of an overachieving season for them.

@@staysolid19 they were the better team. All I'm saying is a fully healthy Caleb would have given SC a shot. After the game he revealed it was a hammy pull he suffered after that long run. It's not coincidence that shortly after that Utah was able to get a collar on him much more often. He wasn't mobile like he usually is.
@gman7497 idk I think utah defense settled down and started getting to usc he didn't start limping right away it wasn't till a couple possessions after in the second he started limping . And if no reports come out that he really hurt himself bad it's all bs
I am an Alabama fan but Utah is such a dominant team. Since they won that gives Alabama a better chance so congrats on the win this was the best game I have seen Utah play

I stated this many times that Kyle Whittingham is the best college football coach in the game. No 5 star players and he produces some great teams.
Oh yeah, year after year he always produces a great team without all the recruiting like Alabama, Ohio, USC, etc all have. It's amazing what he is able to pull out every year.
Yup it's astonishing he isn't #1 on every head coaching list for every opening. Personally I hope he stays.

Our program is back, that's what I care most about. We will have tough luck some years but by all appearances we are gonna be in the conversation for quite awhile. We have skill players for days, but we need some beef, our defense fights and is opportunistic but we got physically manhandled way too often on the line. When freaking Cal can march down the field on us, something is lacking. Caleb and the offense was so brilliant it covered up alot of flaws but it caught up to us against Utah, unfortunately.
All you had to do was watch Utah's first drive and see how easily they were rushing to know they were going to win. The stronger rusher almost always wins because it is significantly not consistent than throwing.
USC was flying on the 1st quarter but wow Utah came back hard. Congrats!

Why when Utah had a score or big play did the announcers sound like they were in church yet when USC did something it sounded like they were about to wet themselves.
They were distracted by sniffing Caleb Williams' jock strap.
Tip of the cap to them Utes. They played my buckeyes incredibly tough last year. That’s a good team that always play with their hair on fire. They may not have the talent, but they always up their play.
They’re not Ohio state talented but they do send a lot of guys to the league . Their team is fascinating, it’s exactly 1/3rd white, 1/3rd black & 1/3rd Polynesian / Samoan
